    Hey thanks for making this! Ever since season 1 reloaded I've heard whispers of black ops AA getting nerfed but not much testing has happened since. Either way every time I try default I feel like I'm playing worse and go back to black ops.

    • @AimTheory
      @AimTheory  Год назад +1

      Might be placebo. Black Ops has larger AA box, but Default tends to feel more consistent. When I test both, the AA Rate is exactly the same doing an RPM test on the both of them.

    My observations and experience with both aim assists:
    Black ops tends to be stickier and locks on more. What I mean by stickier is that the aim assist almost forces you to fight it if your centering is slightly off where as default allows for a smoother correction once you’ve centered and ads’ed.
    I have been using black ops since Warzone 2 dropped but recently switched back to default and it tends to allow more aim freedom. Overall black ops aim assist is excessive and annoying.

    What would you say is the absolute best settings for aim assist, I usually play at an 8 sens, dynamic, standard AA and have my deadzones at 0.5 left and 0.3, any tips as far as what the max threshold should be or anything else, as always amazing tips.

    • @AimTheory
      @AimTheory  Год назад +1

      Best settings are prioritized based off of Centering. Best setting will be whatever allows you to center the fastest and the best. This will be a relationship between you, your controller, sensitivity and the deadzones used.

      I’m late, but those dead zones are extremely high, do you mean 0.05 and 0.03? Would not turn deadzones up higher than 0.10, especially right stick or it destroys any ability to make accurate fine adjustments. Recommend to keep right stick deadzone under 0.05 to be competitive as possible, but up to 0.10 is manageable. If anything higher is needed to cover stick drift, probably get a new controller.

    Great video. I just recently returned to cod and haven’t played since mw19. My aim assist has felt really inconsistent and clunky since returning on mw2. Sometimes it feels like it doesn’t activate at all when I’m holding angles. Could things like fov be a factor? My aim felt way better on mw than mw2 tho I played on console back then and now I’m on pc

      If you are using precision. You only get AA on your right stick. So left stuck deadzones don’t matter. For Right stick, test Dynamic vs. Linear. Go Dynamic if you need help breaking AA. Linear if you are solid skills in left stick adjustments to circumvent the Right stick AA. Keeping right stick max deadzones @0.9-0.99 is good.

      Hi, best AA I have found is 0.05-0.7 on left and 0.03-0.9. On right. These help AA activate the fastest without losing any aim or movement pool. These setting should work with both Default and Black Ops. For Warzone, Black Ops will give you better long range AA. In MP, you will only notice the difference from time to time catching someone that is doing a jump shot on you. Can’t go wrong with Black Ops.

Requires great centering skills and using left stick for fine adjustments. It’s definitely my favorite paired with linear curve on shipment. Precision is a higher skill cap AA to use. If mastered, this can be the best. Black Ops just has a simple pattern of work to learn and is more lenient due to offering 2 types of AA. Only do precision if you are passionate about learning something high skill, otherwise black ops will get you high kill games with less effort.

    I use a tall right thumbstick with dynamic/black ops aim assist. Currently I have both my left and right stick deadzones on .03-.99. Sometimes my aim seems like it “skips” off target. Should I lower my max deadzone for my right stick and if so to what?

      if youre overshooting your aim increase your right stick deadzone

    • @AimTheory
      @AimTheory  Год назад +1

      This means that you are overpowering the aim assist or not engaging the aim assist effectively. It can be a combination of reasons. You're Deazones are pretty wide open and that should be fine. You could be over-using your right sticks and not enough left stick. Strafing with your left stick will automatically start to engage your right stick movements. There is likely a pattern of work error here - or your sensitivity is too high. Also if you're centering is poor, you are forcing yourself to try and make really fast and large adjustments that will cause you to break AA.

  • @Free-ks6rp
    @Free-ks6rp Год назад +2

    • @AimTheory
      @AimTheory  Год назад

      I have not done a lot of experimenting with focussing. I'd like to do some more testing on this and see how I like it. From what I have seen with the AA Activiations - the AA boxes are really huge. I am not sure at what rate/speed they carry tracking currently. Your Aim Assist type and Aim Curve are relative to the "pattern of work" that you prefer. While Deadzones and Sensitivity are more pertinent to your centering.
