- Georgia Tech pulled of the upset over a ranked North Carolina for the third straight season, winning 46-42. The Yellow Jackets rushed for 348 yards, 178 by running back Dontae Smith, 90 by quarterback Haynes King and 80 by RB Jamal Haynes. King completed 23 of 30 picks for 287 yards and 4 touchdowns. UNC quarterback Drake Maye threw for 310 yards and 2 touchdowns and rushed for 58 yards and another TD, while running back Omarion Hampton rushed for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns in the loss. The two teams combined for over 1,200 yards of offense along with the 88 points in a high-scoring thriller.
Georgia Tech is a weird team they beat ranked Miami and North Carolina but lose to Bowling Green 🤔
Maybe its just a Tech school in the ACC thing? Virginia Tech lost to Purdue, Rutgers and Marshall this year but has beaten Pitt, Wake Forest, and Syracuse by double digit scores.
It appears their only purpose is disrupting teams on streaks before sinking back into comparative irrelevance

Ironically, even though Paul Johnson was there, Tech didn’t do the notorious triple option, and yet had over 300 rushing yards; that’s the most they have this season.
So disappointed in unc football think imma turn them off this year. You know for the life of me I don't understand why our Defensive coordinator still has his job. We lost when he was head coach and now he comes in as defensive coordinator and guess what....that side if the ball is terrible aside of a few guys that get it done off individual talent and effort.

The amazing Mack Brown does it for the second week in a row-- snatching defeat from the jaws of victory against a vastly inferior opponent (Georgia Tech was 3-4 coming into the game). Paper Tiger Brown quipped after the game "Only I could have blown a shot at a third career conference championship!!" Last week's debacle against 1-5 Virginia torpedoed a shot at a National Championship. To Ol' Lard Gut: "Hip Hip Hooray!' (repeat three times and then throw up in your Tar Heel helmet.)
UNC is a basketball school. We own UNC. The last 3 times We have beaten them We have come off a lose. UNC is apparently allergic to defense because We were able to run the ball very easily on them. We have broke UNC for a 3rd straight year in a row. We are 2-0 vs Fake Maye.
