Makes me feel like making beautiful furniture isn't impossible and doesn't have to cost alot of $$$ in facny tools. Keep it down to earth. Looking forward to this new chapter in your life.

Good luck with the new shop. The one thing you didn’t mention in your tour was dust collection. When you bring a wood shop into the house, you will immediately notice dust that you ignored in the garage finding its way into the living spaces, particularly if the new house has forced air heating. I’m certain someone as creative as you are will find a solution.

I'm so happy for you! Welcome to the SawStop club. As someone who used your exact same DeWalt for years, and then moved to the PCS 1.75 (no 220 for me, sadly), I can say without hesitation that even just my 1.75hp is a revelation over a jobsite saw, with just the stability, noise, fence, safety, ease of use (raising the blade is so easy!), and extra table being game changers.
My only advice is that if your wings don't sit flush out of the box, mount the center of the wing flush to the main table, tighten, then use a deadblow to lower the outside of the wing flush with the edges of the main table. That was how SawStop recommended I get my wings flush, and it worked well. One more thing, make sure you have a helper. I know some guys did it all on their own on RUclips, but man, having a second pair of hands to hold things made a huge difference. Oh, one more last thing, When getting the main cabinet out of the box, use the foam on top as a flip spot, so that you can tip it onto the box part, then wiggle it off. It protects it much better. Have some rags too, that beast is oily as hell.

You hinted at "thigs to come" some time ago, it makes me grin to see it finally happening! You do things so well and it looks like your 10-year-old videographer is taking after you. Along those same lines, I wish a lot of young girls could see those few seconds where you talked about how you started and feel your pride as you held up your first jig. You might think, now, that it was poorly made, but you said it yourself: it made you feel good to have a problem and find a way to solve it! So many young girls need to hear that! (Since I'm "older," any female under 50 is a "young girl.")
    You do good, lady. 👍
(PS, I hope you consider putting that first jig somewhere in a place of pride. I think you might want to look at it again sometimes in the future. Or maybe make it a "trophy" to award when one of your kids does something they should take pride in?)

Congratulations! On the new shop! It looks like it is going to be amazing!! With heat! 😊You have inspired me and showed me that I to can create with wood! I was so lucky to have found your RUclips channel at the beginning of my journey. I watched all of your videos many times over! Made most of your jigs even when I did not need a few of them but what I learned from you during the building process of measurement, cutting, glueing, etc opened other doors for me to learn. I will miss your old shop as I watched videos I looked at your shop to pattern my needs for tools and space in my small shop affectionately now know as Julie’s Sheshed 😊I actually purchased the same DeWalt table saw you have used off of marketplace and it served me well along with your crosscut sled (which is awesome by the way) sadly I had to retire it in December as the bearings were going and it was getting so noisy and potentially dangerous so I purchased my 3hp PCS sawstop with router table as a Christmas/retirement gift to me ! I love it! And yes the safety part played a big part in my decision making. Wishing you the best as you make the move and cannot wait to see the new shop and the project plans to come.

Congrats on the move! I recently moved to a house with a walk-in basement shop. You will really appreciate being able to put your hand on the table saw in the winter and not having to worry about it sticking there 🙂. On a serious note, the more time spent organizing the packing, the quicker the setup will be in the new space. If you can think about what will going where in the new space and pack according to that (not necessarily how it was in the old space) that will definitely ease the new setup. I didn't do that and had some help packing my old shop and am still in the “It's in a box somewhere” phase.

One thing that I’m curious how you’ll integrate into your new interior / house based shop is really good dust collection / air filtration. As you’re aware, dust can get everywhere, and having this potentially get into your home (via furnace or just through doorways, etc.) could be a real problem. Your tools are also fairly separated in the new space; how do you plan to run dust collection to all of them? Really looking forward to your upcoming videos, and I hope that you produce some showing the new shop build-out as it happens. That new SawStop table saw is going to be so nice for you. I was lucky enough to use them while taking woodworking classes at a local college, and the quality was superb compared to chintzy job site style saws I’d used previously, particularly the fence and ability to use dado stacks. There’s really no comparison. The same with using a high quality jointer. Keep your eye on the classifieds; many of these tools like jointers are built to last, and you can score some great deals occasionally.

Just my 2 cents, might want to rethink where you're placing the miter saw. Carting and moving long sections of boards is gonna get old old fast. Think about putting the miter saw as close to where you unload stock. You could go from unload, cut to rough, plain, joint in as few steps possible.

I can’t wait for your projects! We are in the same boat - just upgraded to a larger shop in a new house and I have pretty much the exact same projects as you - beds, desks, cabinets, outdoor table, etc.! Excited to be able to follow along!

So happy for you! Despite the weird angles, your new space looks like it will make for nice seperation of functions and will feel like a shop and not just a huge open space.
Didn't hear you mention dust collection, but i will be interested to see how it all turns out.
Congrats! So fun to follow you over the years!
