- The timeline of these films is so all of the place that it makes Halloween look coherent. New Lines Cinema took a whack at it for the third installment, and it was not received well, but we kinda liked it!

I honestly love the idea of just ranking sequels to perfect films because the fact that most of the time the original is just so much better than the sequels that it is too predictable to have it on top. I think that is perfect for TCM (no matter how many people say the remake is better) and Halloween. Although if you ranked the only Halloween sequels, would you also include Season of the Witch? I feel like this wouldn’t work with Child’s Play or Nightmare on Elm Street because there’s no real distinction for quality or any huge differences that justify separating the original on that list. It’s not a forgone conclusion like TCM or Halloween which film of the series is best.
I know you’ve already ranked the F13 series, but someone else could even do something similar with ranking the *Jason* films as in only ranking the films that star Jason Voorhees as the killer.
@@thomasffrench3639 I think we'd have to include Season of the Witch, purely because we really like it 😂 But you could definitely do a ranking of Michaels sequels and it would still be an interesting discussion. David's opinions on the Rob Zombie films will probably be controversial....We've also talked a lot about doing a Halloween H20 Vs Halloween 2018, discussing which films works better as a legacy sequel.
We agree just doing the sequels for Child's Play or Nightmare wouldn't make sense, but we'd definitely do the same as we did for F13 and have our own personal rankings side by side. Our Child's Play rankings are very different, and we might want to slip the seasons of the show in there too.
Speaking of F13, the only reason we wouldn't rank just Jason films, is because we have a real soft spot for Part 5, we like Roy 😂

@@ycft By anthology I was referring to how each film tells a different story. It's not that there is segments in each film.

I'm honestly not a big fan of the series , I acknowledge the importance on the genre but just never tickled my fancy much.
Ive seen part 3 once and much like the Next Generation it just fell very flat for me , it probably didnt help I saw the extremely censored original uk release.
@@krs4976 You and Sam share similar opinions on the TCSM franchise. She very much watches them because David likes them 😂 Sadly we've reviewed all the good entries now, assuming The Next Generation is as weak an entry as most people say.
