I just wanted to say that you guys are awesome. I love watching your videos and this one was extra special. I really enjoyed seeing all the news shops, stages and eateries, and upcoming shows. Your new mugs look fantastic, and the pins look great as well. I think it's really admirable how you guys help promote the local craftsmen and vendors at the faire and make sure that they get some extra attention spotlighting their wares. I love to support the independent artists and craftsmen by purchasing new items each year at the Ren Faire I go to. I have friends that moved to PA about 5 years ago and I hope to go with them this year to the PA Ren Faire for the first time. Thank you for your update for the 2024 Season, and keep up the great work. Oh and it was a lot of fun watching the outtakes you guys left us with at the end of the video, that was a nice touch.
This is crazy! I was doing research on PA Ren Faire when I was offered a contract here a few months ago, and I used your videos to help see what the place was like. Now, I’m a cast member, I saw you guys at a show I’m in, and I’m in this video LOL! Thank y’all for your videos, they led me to perhaps the coolest job EVER!!
Oh that’s awesome!! Welcome to PRF! Now you have been immortalized in one of our videos so you can prove to people that you did indeed work at a Ren Faire. 😉😂
I love your videos! My partner and I watch them to get hype about our yearly visit to the Shire. Your info is so thorough and it's obvious how much you care about helping visitors to the PA Ren Faire have a good time. We'll be there for Time Travelers and Halloween 2024 and this has made me all the more excited!!
We love to help visitors of the PA Faire enjoy their time there as much as we enjoy it! So we are happy to help!! 😊 Hopefully you bought your tickets already since Saturday of Time Travelers is already sold out. 😬
Shamrocks and Shenanigans Weekend we will BE THERE! Thank you for providing a much needed sneak preview of all the things we wouldn't want to miss. Can't wait to see and hear the adult themed Treetops stage performances. As pirates, we support the thieves guild! See all of you there! Cheers!
Thank you for always keeping us in the loop! I can tell you, the chicken schnitzel sandwich is delightful! My husband and I also enjoyed the Messy Puppeteers show. Absolutely family oriented but with some jokes for the more (or less) mature audience members. Love seeing some of our favorite vendors showcased, including a lovely young person in a barrel. Keep up the good work!
I love seeing these every year. Helps me map out what we’ll be seeing. Can’t wait for the mask shop! And thanks for showing the menus. I always try to track down the rotisserie chickens and they’re always on the move. Now I know where to get one this year. Lol. I always wonder if my family will ever bump into you guys, we’ve been going to the PA ren faire since 2008 I think! Someday ❤️☺️
I'm coming to PARF for the first Halloween weekend and I absolutely cannot wait! If you guys could do an in-depth video about this year's storyline, that would be amazing, I love knowing what's going on so I can interact even more with the cast.
I live about 10 minutes away from the Faire. It's lovely going there. I like to wait for the discounted tickets for after 4pm if I just want to be there for a little bit. But it's better to buy the full ticket to experience everything if I bring people who have never been there.
I knew there was a lot new this year, but I didn’t realize how much I missed this past weekend! I’ll definitely be checking out everything next weekend. Also, my guess for your later season cosplay: Tom Bombadil and Goldberry?
I LOVE this video!!!!! You guys did an amazing job as always!!!!! I am sad I won’t be attending this year😢 hopefully next year and maybe next time I will buy one of your mugs, and hopefully meet you guys there.
Thanks for the What's New videos, they help me to see everything. I'll be going back again this year to catch what I missed. Thanks for the positive comment about my hairy hobbit feet.
It is sad for all of us who really enjoyed that show and those actors, but those actors are currently doing some incredible new things in their careers so we are very happy for them!
Love these videos, thank you so much for making yet another! I'm sad to hear the mermaids are gone but it looks like a much better use of the space now. Do you have any insight as to why the faire seems to be getting upgrades for the last few years? Maybe it's just me finally taking notice.
PRF has always done improvements, but you are right in saying it seems like a lot more than in the past. Ownership of the Faire has been the same for the past 15 years. A lot of it has to do with the older parts of the Faire needing to be replaced due to age and decay. Also, vendors and performers change regularly which allows the Faire to continually feel fresh and new.
My mother and I will soon be visiting the Faire this weekend. So, I have a few questions regarding things there you may not have mentioned. 1. Are there any other weapons shoppes besides La Forge worth checking out and if so, where? 2. I was told yesterday that the Mud Pit has been closed up for good. What has been set up there in its place? 3. Are there any new bands/musicians at the Faire worth looking up? I always love buying a CD or DVD from them. Finally...speaking of DVDs, I still own the 25th Anniversary DVD the Faire staff made way back in 2005. Since we'll be entering in the Faire's 41st anniversary, how long do you think it will be before a new DVD will be made to celebrate the shire's history?
We hope you have a fun time this weekend! We will do our best to answer your questions: 1. Other than La Forge’s handmade weapons shop, you can find licensed swords at Be Steel My Heart, and Canes Enable has some sword canes in their collection. 2. The Mud Pit was replaced by the Treetop Stage. 3. Jeremy Graeff has a new band called Lamning. He used to be a solo act. Other than that, every other musician/band that’s here for Wizarding Weekend has been to PRF in recent years. If you haven’t seen a Hob The Troll show, we highly recommend you check it out! 4. This is currently the 44th year of operation for PRF. If they would do another DVD or special release for an anniversary, our bet is on the 50th anniversary.
@@FromtheHobbitHole I don't know if you remember seeing us...but my mother and I saw you at Roxie's Airshow, yesterday. She asked if she could take a picture of you guys
Yes! If you look under the Royal Kitchens key on the map side of the writ, the foods that are gluten free will be marked with GF next to them. You can find the writ for each themed weekend here: www.parenfaire.com/themedweekends.html
The mermaids were a fun addition to the Faire while they were here, and we miss them too! But, contracts end and venues need to keep bringing new shows in to have more variety to keep people returning. Hopefully one day we will see mermaids at PRF again!
2:36 at this frame you can see a barn in the center right of the screen, nest to the tent. I’ve been trying to track down the merchant who sells the foam swords and replica armors and last year I believe they were at that barn looking building. Do you guys know the name of that merchant? Also, thanks for the updates! Love the video and the faire looks so fun this year!
There are no shops down that road that currently sells foam swords. The foam sword shop that we are aware of, called Duck and Cover, is located between the Sussex Stage and Hart Inn Stage on the map. It’s booth 217. Hopefully that helps!
@@FromtheHobbitHole you guys are awesome for helping me out with this, I was trying to figure out where they get their swords from so I could get an idea of if they would have foam claymores, and I did a little digging and it looks like they get generic ones from Amazon and similar sites, and the claymore from Amazon I was looking at shows up in quite a few pictures of the shop! I’m going to the pa faire in October and I wanted to get a claymore to complete my outfit so now I know I can probably get one from the faire and have it be more special. I definitely will try to pick up one of your guy’s pins too!
I recently went to the Bristol Renn Faire near chicago. The sign in front claimed they were the number 1 renn faire in the US. The layout was too tight and the stages especially the main ones had inadquite sound and seating. The main storyline was just not defined well enough. The joust area in particular was too tiny and the show much lower quality. Every single aspect was so poorly planned and executed compared to the PA Faire. It was also more expensive for everything especially if you planned to go multiple times. It made me appreciate PA a lot more.

The Wine Shop sells wine and wine related items along with Faire tshirts and sweatshirts. They also do tastings in there.

They were created so cleverly! As cosplayers, we enjoy seeing how others come up with unique ways of costuming.
The gold mug! ☕ 🤩
It IS gorgeous! Meg really outdid herself with that one.
I'm so bummed the mermaids are gone!! They were my favorite part.
10/10 Video! My goal this season is to finally get a photo with y’all!

From what I know, there were some management changes, and that has spurred on the revamping
