I love Karnivool! One of the only newer (New to me cause I'm an old fuck! Haha!) bands that is still in touch with how important dynamics are in a song or album. Kick ass band, no doubt about it! Very creative!
Oh, sweet as! I've seen Kenny live w/ Birds of Tokyo and I know he can definitely sing, but this is something special for some reason. It may be because it feels like he's just ready to bust it out at any time - at a show, I suppose you expect it (he lived OVER my expectations that night) and take it for granted when they're spot on. That voice is something else, it's up there with Buckley, but more listener friendly (for those who know what the 'Screaming Buckley's' are.. I'm a huge Buckley fan, but I understand.) and so... Something else. All I know is those vocals make you want to say "Fuck off.. as if.. That's brilliant.." Anyhoo, I can't wait to see them play in Perth in January '14. I just just confirmed I'm going. Not that that really matters to anyone reading this! :) I just wanted to say, even having these guys play on your couch looks pretty awesome; stuff like this is a true sign of an awesome band. I'm such a KarniFool.
