Every spring we have had a pair of mating mallard ducks in our pool for the past 5 - 6 years. I have tried everything (several types of floating alligators, hawks, owls, motion sensor sprayers, reflector floating balls, snakes, fireworks, and more!) without success. FINALLY I FOUND SOMETHING! I stretched a black net with 2" squares over the pool about 1-2 feet above the water. We have seen the ducks around our house but not once at the pool. If I could train them to crap in my landscape instead of around the pool I would feed them!
I tied rope to my hybiscus trees from one cside of pool to other abt. 2 ft abv. Then tied baloons on them. Lot of work. So far working. WHEN DO I TAKE IT ALL DOWN?.?🤔🙏

So far, we've tried all of these, except the water fountain. If you leave that fountain going, it will raise your pH, then you'll be having to use muriatic acid all the time to lower it back down. I just watched another video where he used fishing line to deter the ducks. We're going to try that, as long as it doesn't injure them.
What if the duck is deaf
I have tried keeping my waterfall on and have lots of floats in pool. I started with 2 ducks the 3 now four. I need to get rid of them they are messy. I’m ordering moving owls to see if it will work. There has to be a real way to get rid of them all together. Ducks are winning.
Good luck with those owls! I haven’t had an issue with ducks in quite awhile, but there was one year they showed up on occasion. Let me know how it goes!
@@easyclearpool fingers crossed. The female duck hasn’t been here so I think she might be nesting on her eggs somewhere else. I had to get someone to really clean my pool good. It started looking greenish brown and they always poop on the side of the pool and in the pool. We’ve had the pool for a year only. Plus they like it because it’s a salt water pool. ❤️
the most important thing to remember is: DON'T FEED THEM!

They don’t seem to like the chlorine here.
