  • Behavior contingency maps are a visual representation of a behavior plan. They are a great addition to your teacher toolbox and help to explain to students the consequences of both their positive and negative behaviors. Behavior contingency maps are an evidence-based practice that follows the 3-term contingency in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): antecedent, behavior, and consequence, or "ABC." I love that these maps SHOW the difference between the consequences of the negative behavior and the positive behavior.
*These contingency maps are not a replacement for a behavior plan, are not one-size-fits-all, and are simply one tool that can be used to visually help learners. They are meant to be differentiated and tailored to each learner.*
