A great explanation of achieving/ strengthening stimulus control and how to transfer it!

Love this video! It’s so important to look at each individual & what is motivating for them. I think we often get stuck thinking “my other client liked this, I wonder why it’s not working for this learner.” Or “everyone wants to work for iPad time.” Creating motivation can often be the most challenging yet one of those most crucial parts of our job. I also stress immediacy of delivering reinforcement & see either not delivering reinforcement immediately or frequently enough as a common era.

This video is fabulous! I love the slow and articulate speed of the video! Can I use this in my class?

This might help me, a dad, if I had a doctorate in the field so I could understand ANY of this mess. Zero help except I now know that I didn’t know that one winged dinosaurs weren’t slimes. Yeah… do you get my point?

Thanks so much for watching our video!! Since ABA is a science, we do use terms that may seem unnecessary or have a more in depth meaning. A part of of our clinicial practice and dissemination is to use teach commonly heard phrases or terms in the field of ABA or in a masters program for psychology (ABA is a branch or psychology). That being said, we really appreciate you checking out clincial channel and we can recommend you check out a couple of our other videos or taking a look at our other channel Behavioral Karma. Definitely less clinical and easier to watch back to back !! With any questions feel free to reach out and again thank you for checking out our content!

@@hackingbehavioranalysis I'm sorry and thank you for your reply. 8nfind myself looking for answers on how to transfer stimulus control. I have watched your video 6 times, and I still don't get it. I have had parent training for 8 years, so I know a lot of ABA terminology, but this is just another level. I wish for some clear examples. I'm sorry again 😩

Absolutely no reason to be sorry, ABA isn't the easiest concept to just wake up and digest. It's a constant practice of the scientific principles and strategies. It's hard to assess at times but eventually you will get a win. Be patient, stick the same procedure each time and honor the attempts. Reinforcement for yourself for trying Is also important. If you have specific questions we would be more than happy to answer!!
