In today’s video, we dive into maintaining a client's dignity throughout ABA sessions. We cover the power of simple gestures like knocking on a door before entering, setting the stage for comfort and respect. We explore essential concepts such as client assent and consent, while honing the skill to interpret nonverbal cues that signal positive progress.
We emphasize the importance of privacy and boundaries in teaching tasks like dressing and toileting, how to foster dignity in a classroom environment, creating a nurturing space for growth, and talk about the concept of "televisibility," gauging session success, and mastering the delicate balance of discussing clients outside of work.

This was so important, especially as my son is an adult now. I would like to learn more about the more subtle ways he may feel disrespected or unappreciated. I recognize that I myself don’t always respect his dignity, especially in a crisis type moment.
Thank you for presenting this important topic with examples
