Soloing the chorale melody in the pedal no less! The things you do to get the nicest sound.
I gather these videos are taped months ahead of when we see them so we aren't seeing any band wagon for the Baskeyfield/Becker ideas on tempo yet. But I played this very piece last Sunday so I'm commenting here. ( I needed a g- piece and Catholics are all into fussing about the dead in November.) Anyway I played the simple harmonization first at the same tempo that I then used for the Bach Prelude. Can't say there was any big revelation as a result but neither did it seem a bad idea so I'm just going to keep doing it I guess.
