@Stay Woke Nah not talking about the style. Kinda hard to explain. When I look at the animation paused it actually isn't all that bad, at least in the Netflix as they fixed a lot of Meliodas's creepypasta faces. man this whole fight choreo was ass, it was obvious they tried to hide it with the smoke, that's why it felt slow as a parked car, if they really wanted this shitstorm fixed, they should overhaul it and make the movement more dynamic and the pacing faster
@@kaelthunderhoof5619 Have you ever heard the story of the mist from Silent Hill 1? They used it to hide some low details, it's the same with the smoke here, but the animation, the pacing, the choreography just doesn't live up to any fight that came before. Is like most hits they delivered are weightless as if they're playing around, but we've got to see Ban and Meliodas "Greating" and that playing around was more of a fight than this.
If Netflix actually animated Season 3 Instead of juat polishing what TvTokyo already animated, I felt like it would have been a fight to go down in history
The choreography itself renders this fight unfixable... They did their best I presume there's no chance of the whole season being completely reanimated?
to be honest, the only way to fix the episode is to make an OVA/ONA like one piece did. Episode of blue, episode of merry and so on. They did improve the animation but to be honest for one piece case, the old one is better as the newer lack feelings and very different artstyle. But 7DS can really use that to fix this clusterfuck animation. Will they do it? probably not and never will but if they does after the anime is finish.
Honestly I agree. I feel pretty bad for them because of the title the fight has because everybody is saying it’s the one of the worst fight in anime history and I actually totally agree with the people that say that. Somebody in another video that was showing the worst anime battles said that this battle was the best. I don’t watch this anime so I ain’t putting the names but anyways I searched it up to only find out it’s the worst. I think the person was joking because if they weren’t then they have bad taste. I like fantasy, comedy, action, and adventure anime.
@@sun_mon1307 bruh nice taste, you should watch Fairy tail, but the anime has alot of plots but only results to one thing, its still amazing tho how many arcs revolve to two star crossed lovers
They tried. They definitely tried their best. But this entire fight is beyond repair. Even if the quality of everything else is improved, the animation is still comparable to a slideshow. Do the whole thing over
They should literally completely redo the entire season, from scratch. This is a complete injustice to the seven deadly sins reputation, previous seasons, it's fan base and the manga
True, but the manga was rushed after this part of the sage.... 3 fights with the demon king? Escanor Dying like a hero but merlin going with Arthur who is essentially a god? Ban became 100% irrelevant...and hawk besides being a side joke for the plot has a serious plot point? Nah ....
@@bepis8562 that has nothing to do with how bad this adaptation is... even if we feel like it was rushed in the manga. this entire season was a big drop off from what the first and second had to offer...manga aside even anime onlys were pissed with how this season came out.
@@mariojeffery624 That isn't 7ds fault it was Studio Deen that got the stupid idea of asking some trash studio to help 7ds wanted to keep A-1 pictures but A-1 pictures had to much anime to animate at the same time and Studio Deen didn't have enough Time
@@themagicaldiamond8774 I never said it was seven deadly sins fault if anything I defended the manga as the first guy blames mangas ending for how bad last season was....your response would have been better served to the first guy because I understand that it was 100% the studio switch that caused the massive drop in quality.
For some people who are confused: Netflix said “If the animation error is minor or occurs close to the edge of the frame, may be able to address with a simple re-comp or paint fix. However for larger animation errors, they might need to return to the studio to correct and re-render affected shots” so that means the most minor animation errors they can fix. However, if the animation error is like important, they need to go back to the original animation studio to get it fixed.
Man Man I think we can all agree that there would’ve been backlash at the release getting pushed back for quality, but not nearly as much backlash as this animation caused
Sure the fight is improved but as a whole this is a dissapointment. They just recreated the manga 1to1 not adding anything special. And it doesn't even do the BEST job of recreating the manga. I know the studio didn't have much time too make it but i would've preferred no s3 or waited years for the next season
@@Hooman_Gacha the fans weren't rushing for s3 too be done. Long story short if s3 wasn't done and relased when it was then the anime would've been cancelled. This is not a decision of the fans but of the advertisers of the show and the tv station in japan it aired on. Probably wanting too rush it for money. While the stressed animators themselves barely get paid anything
For people in the comments Its the same company they just got extra time imagine going from getting to make the whole season at once to having to do one episode a week Even u couldn’t do that And also they had to hire another company to help So the people’s who dissing the animation remember this if u had about a week to make an episode and at least 1 day used for storyboarding 2-4 for the voice acting so they could animate the mouth movements right wow would u look at that less then 5 days to animate the episode So stop acting like i could do better Because u know u can’t
@@mxitzz did i ever said i would do better? Lol no i am not an animator, i can draw but that's totally another thing. If the problem is that they rushed it and didn't have time, they could just have taien more time, i mean, people would have surely liked to get a better animated series instead of a bad animated but early published anime season. And i don't see the need to say this,in a video where i am saying what netflix is has done, to this terrible animation and drawings (it's just a fact it is) We can surely comprend and empatyze to the animstors but at the end of the day the result is still shit and you can't deny it
@@mxitzz by the way this animation is not actually total shit, some parts are good, like the start and some more "static" scenes where we have better drawing, but i am just saying no one can deny some parts are just hilarious
While I think it's 'bad' for the high standards we nowadays enjoy, I still think they made the Netflix Rework somewhat decent. I mean it isn't only the better drawings of character designs, but also the new animated frames that look so much better.
What I don't like about the animation more than the lack of motion is that they make it look like both of them are just standing around to take damage instead of making them feel fast and blocking attacks where they stand is actually understandable. Like, why was Escanor just grinning when Meliodas stabbed him and why was Meliodas just staring at air when Escanor swung his Super Slash? Instead of making their counters feel like a flex cuz the attack did nothing, they just look like dumbasses when they just stare around. This was such an anticipated fight.
Remember the scene when meliodas caught the lighting spear and through it back in S1. I wish we got to see this fight with that type of effort in the animation
To be completely honest Netflix did a fantastic job trying to fix the animation without redoing the whole season with a whole different studio to animate it
Correction: The animators of Studio Deen finaly got time, after this breakneck schedule for tv release, to rework scened for the bluray release. Netflix streams tje bluray version.
The King V Plays The manga was better, but mostly because the animation threw almost everyone off. The fight scenes looked really slow and the attacks looked weak. Plus, some parts of how they handled the story threw me off
The frames lack basic fluidity and thicknesses, When the characters move they look like they are only one part of them is moving the rest of their body is a part of the frame (like how escanor is almost static when swinging his axe at meliodas’ sword. This makes everything look slow and robotic, there’s no fixing the basic frames the thin lines used to draw them doesn’t help either. It literally looks like it was made in MS paint
Bruv. I’ve also noticed that throughout the anime, they have a bad habit of only animating one character/item at a time. Threw off the whole pacing for me.
@Tom like 1 punch, the next frame just multiple line tossing escanor lol, wtf is that. and then when meliodas sword spinning attack thing, only some black thing spinning with white line ROFL tf this studio
Imagine Nanatsu no Taizai was your first anime to watch, you like it very much that it brought you into watching anime. You were fascinated on how good the animation of season 1 and 2 then suddenly you get this season made with windows paint running in a toaster.
While they definitely cleaned up the edges to make it look more professional from frame to frame, Netflix can’t fix the pacing. Even bumping it up to 2x speed there’s still plenty of awkward pauses and the attack lack any sense of impact. This just feels more lazy than incompetent really.
I agree. They have to start going to the next level. Of course I’m not an anime artist so I don’t know what going on. But I have seen much better. The little things Netflix changed. Even somebody said they add the smoke to hide the biggest mistakes. I’m kinda glad I didn’t choose to watch seven deadly sins.
Sad that nearly half of these comments don't know that these streaming services don't MAKE/correct the animations, rather they distribute them from producers + animation studios mentioned in this video (Studio DEEN and Marvy Jack)
@@GOD-sb9pz It really doesn't make sense. Pride Escanor doesn't show fear, and he probably did fight Meliodas before, otherwise how else did he join the Sins with a Pride that huge?
He never fought this Meliodas. This Meliodas was sealed centuries before Escanor’s birth. When Escanor joined the Sins he was the strongest because Meliodas was weakened, at this point Meliodas is stronger than Escanor who only wins because of The One

@@wakito64 "at this point Meliodas is stronger than Escanor who only wins because of The One" Which means Escanor is stronger lmao
Stronger during only 1 minute and without any kind of control over the transformation is not an argument in a fight. If he was able to transform in The One whenever he wanted he would have been stronger than meliodas because he could have win every fight but because he can only be The One at noon he is not stronger. He won this fight only because it was 11:59, at any other time of the day Meliodas would have killed him. At this point in the manga The One>Meliodas>Escanor>Merlin>Other Sins
I simply cannot comprehend why anybody would choreograph this fight with such little effort...You’d think if you slam your axe on a sword more than three times that you’d switch it up. They made Escanor look like he’s a 3 year old with the way he fights.
Colonel Sanders Studio Dean animates Konsuba, guaranteed now since they have time to work on the next season the JP release is going to be better. man this whole fight choreo was ass, it was obvious they tried to hide it with the smoke, that's why it felt slow as a parked car, if they really wanted this shitstorm fixed, they should overhaul it and make the movement more dynamic and the pacing faster

Well, at least they tried. Sadly though, no matter how much you polish a turd, its still a turd.
to be honest, the only way to fix the episode is to make an OVA/ONA like one piece did.

I don’t watch this anime so I ain’t putting the names but anyways I searched it up to only find out it’s the worst. I think the person was joking because if they weren’t then they have bad taste.

Sure the fight is improved but as a whole this is a dissapointment. They just recreated the manga 1to1 not adding anything special. And it doesn't even do the BEST job of recreating the manga. @@Hooman_Gacha the fans weren't rushing for s3 too be done. Long story short if s3 wasn't done and relased when it was then the anime would've been cancelled. 2-4 for the voice acting so they could animate the mouth movements right wow would u look at that less then 5 days to animate the episode
So stop acting like i could do better
Because u know u can’t
@@mxitzz did i ever said i would do better? Lol no i am not an animator, i can draw but that's totally another thing.
If the problem is that they rushed it and didn't have time, they could just have taien more time, i mean, people would have surely liked to get a better animated series instead of a bad animated but early published anime season.
And i don't see the need to say this,in a video where i am saying what netflix is has done, to this terrible animation and drawings (it's just a fact it is)
We can surely comprend and empatyze to the animstors but at the end of the day the result is still shit and you can't deny it
@@mxitzz by the way this animation is not actually total shit, some parts are good, like the start and some more "static" scenes where we have better drawing, but i am just saying no one can deny some parts are just hilarious

The King V Plays The manga was better, but mostly because the animation threw almost everyone off. The fight scenes looked really slow and the attacks looked weak. Plus, some parts of how they handled the story threw me off
They just need to redo the entire season
The frames lack basic fluidity and thicknesses, When the characters move they look like they are only one part of them is moving the rest of their body is a part of the frame (like how escanor is almost static when swinging his axe at meliodas’ sword. This makes everything look slow and robotic, there’s no fixing the basic frames the thin lines used to draw them doesn’t help either. It literally looks like it was made in MS paint
pretty much sums it all
Bruv. I’ve also noticed that throughout the anime, they have a bad habit of only animating one character/item at a time. Threw off the whole pacing for me.

Stronger during only 1 minute and without any kind of control over the transformation is not an argument in a fight.
