Imo, what makes morlun special to me is the narrative associated with him. Hes the only Spidey villain to have killed him HUNDREDS of times. With EASE at that. To me, morlun represents destiny, I think it was obo(peters reanimated course) that stated Peter was supposed to die to morlun. But the 1st time, peter beat him, the 2nd time the great weaver brought him back. Each time after that peter has beaten him by being smart and resiliant. Morlun represents destiny to me. However with hardwork, determination, and planning, destiny doesnt always arrive. It can be changed, it can be overcome. 🤘🏾
It wasn't the great Weaver that brought him back. It was cloning. In Spider-verse he and his family would get killed and revived by being cloned in another universe, until the facility was destroyed.
I really want to see morlun and the inheritors become the next villain in the spider verse films because they were the ones who started the spider verse in the 1st place in the comics and I will like to see them be the next villains in the next spider verse movie

My whole introduction to Morlun was “the other”. I thought it was awesome. I hated how full of himself morlun was when he fought Spider-Man, but I absolutely loved when Spider-Man killed him and got his wrist spikes. Wish he kept those.
I liked how originally Morlun went from cocky and confident to full on SERIOUS as he takes more Ls to Peter. It shows morlun views him as a threat. And the stingers peter had were dope, but kaine took and mastered them when "the other" transferred to him. The in story reason is that Peter lacks the killing mentality that Kaine for a time had, and Peter rejected the power during one more day.
yeah the whole totem thing kind of totally destroys the origin of Spiderman. I guess some people like it, but the whole entire thing really should have been placed on a new separate character than spidey. I thing it's silly and lame myself, all of it.

That first introduction of Morlun is the only collection of actual Spiderman comics I have, was a Christmas present. It's kind of nice to see Rob cover it.

I just dug the Morlun comics out my parents attic, and Ezekiel tells Peter after Morlun touches him, that his adamantium walled bunkers would only help a Totem stay hidden before it has been touched by Morlun, after the touch it wouldn't help at all. What's crazy is the only issue I'd seen him in was the one where he plucks out peters eye then totally forgot about him for years. Until a video involving that issue popped up on my recommended. Brought back a lot of memories of being absolutely horrified for Spiderman

Morlun is a seriously underrated villain. Now that the multiverse has been incorporated in MCU and even SSU by extension, I really wish we could see him and the Inheritors in live-action sometime. Or at least in the Into the Spider-Verse series.

I have always said that bringing the first Morlun Vs Spiderman storyline to the big screen would be amazing because of how relentless Morlun is. The moment when SPOILER Spidey swung across the street far away from him,stops above a building and then somehow Morlun caught up to him ON FOOT and threw both him and Spidey off that building was insane.

I owned the whole storyline including the Amazing Spider-Man Straczynski book of Amazing Spider_Man issues 300? Until it was stolen from me 6 years ago!

Nah he’s a badass but tying his family into such a… large scale plot made that personal aspect of him stalking Peter exclusively and even pushing him to near death was kinda lost sadly. He was pretty cool in Black Panther though.
Sounds to me like Marvel is going to do a mash up between Morlun and Kraven the Hunter because their motivations are very similar as are their powers but individually they're quite simple characters yet if you combine them to create a super-human multiversal hunter who kills in order to extend his own life ... well, that's far more interesting.
I guess people are talking about him is that he is in this new wave of Spiderman's Marvel Legends. I think they put him there because 1) he's a Spiderman character, and it is an Spiderman wave; 2) there a similarites in his design with the Morbius character, which fits the time with his recently released trailer and hype surroundng an vampire kind of character.
I think it would be really cool if the first time we see the MCU F4 is in a Spider-Man movie as nod to his first appearance in the comics. The same can be said for the punisher who was introduced in a Spider-Man comic.

Sounds to me like Marvel is going to do a mash up between Morlun and Kraven the Hunter because their motivations are very similar as are their powers but individually they're quite simple characters yet if you combine them to create a super-human multiversal hunter who kills in order to extend his own life ... well, that's far more interesting.
I'd watch the hell out of a remaster. Love the video!
Hasbro leaked an image of an action figure for him along with the other Spiderman no way home toys back in May.
I guess people are talking about him is that he is in this new wave of Spiderman's Marvel Legends. I think they put him there because 1) he's a Spiderman character, and it is an Spiderman wave; 2) there a similarites in his design with the Morbius character, which fits the time with his recently released trailer and hype surroundng an vampire kind of character.

I think it would be really cool if the first time we see the MCU F4 is in a Spider-Man movie as nod to his first appearance in the comics. The same can be said for the punisher who was introduced in a Spider-Man comic.
