I saw these guys at the 700 Wing on Kingsway in Edmonton 100 years ago. When it was all done a few hundred punks wander out into the street half deaf and speechless. We couldn't make sense of what the fuck we had just seen. Still today a lifetime later I have never seen anything like it. Good times.
I guesss i'm going to do replay and get stoned . Sounds good on the downplay bro . Coming down but relaxing so much to this Dead of Winter . Lovin' it all day . Peace to all who care ... Love ya ' Yeah!
msil103 Correct. This is the remastered version called Back and Forth 2. The original is usually heard as a bootleg of the original 35 copies that were released and of that only 15 tapes were dubbed at normal speed, the other 20 are high speed dubs... not quite as clear sounding but the average person wouldn't notice. So there are a lot of taped copies of the originals. I love good ole "brap" living room sessions like this. It's a wonderful experience and mostly free form and not pre written.
Explore the iron gratings, see the rusted rivets on my iron hull. Deep inside this inpenetrable shell is just a afraid skinny puppy you will never be able to touch. But it still hears your songs and wants to know what is making that beautyful noise.
so love this one... seems to start out in the sometimes-ugly hotness of late summer, then crash-cuts into an early hot, dry fall, with crimson leaves blowing violently all around in dust-devils for so long... then by the end, soft-lands into a cool, crisp snowfall... ;0 lol, i dunno! :) that's the mental imagery i always get from this one... ("centre bullet" and "one day" are my true fave "dead of winter irl" tracks ;)
There will always be sounds that were influenced by something prior. I've heard artists say that they go out of their way to not listen to other peoples music, for fear of being too influenced by. But, you can't escape the reach of the past. That said, it's totally possible for someone to stumble across something new. Myopic to expect that you will never hear something you feel is new. It's a possible outcome, but not absolute.
The 80's and 90's are the future of music... Now music corrodes and decays as we climb backwards into the womb of time to escape the generic thoughtless garbage of this hell of pathetically over-bred race baby fed with there feeble thoughts... What was I talking about? Twitch-twitch..
@@theekenneth the 80 s were a quintessential time period. everything was happening all at once, every fashion, sound, genre, and drug. all at once. we will never have another time period like this.
This coming out in 2018 = complete jaw dropping release ... nobody would even notice, maybe the odd : " they still maintain a pretty "retro " ( in lack of a much better word ) sound, mainly to the use of what seems like mostly analogue equipment and recording technics , all in all the most forward thinking band I´ve listened to the entire year " * some random critic 2018
Yeah I'm looping the album around my head... 5:43 pm Spokane Washington 1123 Oakland dr public library closed... messages from inside house I am robbing. Meet me at your place Bring the matches...
@mediacesspool OK . He did some stuff with Download and Pigface as well. Totally good to keep track of who gets cred were. I dont think Genifer was paid though probley got REAL fkin high x _ x
I found this CD in a “CDWAREHOUSE” in 2001 and blasted it on my parents soundsystem while they were at work. Good times ☝🏻😾
ha ha my sentiments exactly. CD warehouse--best bargains on flimsy plastic discs sought after feverishly by roughly 6,000 people per state.
Haha, I would do the same while skipping class and rushing home to blast this!
i used to just play alien crush on TB16 or make my parents figure out how to turn on pause mode for wizards and warriors on NES
❤
Their early stuff was awesome...And still is.Great band.
rtyna find that back and forth mixtape
JESTEM KOMPOZYTOREM I WYKONAWCĄ TEJ MUZYKI Z PRZESYŁU CZYŚCOWEGO . JESTEM NA ZDJĘCIU I OKŁADCE MOJEJ PŁYTY . ARTUR OLEARCZYK .
Na und!! 😱😭😭😭😭
Probably my all time favorite intro of any song ever! The first 2 minutes could have easily been 2 songs on their own.
I totally agree. I always wished they’d have made a song using the sound from the intro.
The earlier the better with SP
I wish I was alive when Skinny Puppy first came out. Thank the gods my uncle showed me SP. :D

Seen them in Houston in 1990 same experience. Just speechless after the concert!

Awesome song! Very raw production to an osbcure and macabre track! I loved it!
So hard to believe this is early 80s
That acid synth opening up the track made me think 1987-1994.

Way2Spirited I agree, spontaneous braps have heart and soul
this is still blowing my mind over 14 years after i heard it and almost 25 years since it was made.

Production doesn’t sound like the early eighties, rather 20 years later.
Thank you RIP DJ TRON for introducing me to skinny puppy in 1994.
the soul that creates
its almost hard to believe this is pre-mind skinny puppy.

This is the structure famous for shaping the structure of 80s music...
I have 40 y.o. And I know that my kids will never show me something new for listening. Everything was discovered from 80's to 90's.
WTF are you talking about. (o czym ty do mnie talkujesz?) You sound like my grandfather god bless his soul.

Chill Puppy, love it, loved it and it still bounces in my spine as I go through life. 30 year old electronica still sounds amazing
