What do you mean version need to NBT EVO X? I have X3 M40i with latest updated IDrive.
There are different Versions within each Idrive software.
I do not understand why this feature is not available even by USB connection

You may need to purchase a module or retrofit. Coding usually just brings out features that are already there and just hidden or turned off. If you don’t have the part at all, I am not sure if you can code it

No lag and I would not think so.
I have 2018 540i CarPlay on menu shows active same as under expert mode, for some reason my CarPlay still shows half screen, my iDrive is updated to the latest version.
I think you need a certain NBT head unit for the simple coding to work
Did you go over to the other half, click down and uncheck split screen?
Hi, nice video. I tried this on my 2018 330i but CarPlay still loads 2/3 screen and 1/3 where other things show is just grayed out.
Yeah it seems that only certain Idrive after a certain build date can do it

I did the same thing butIt does not work with me , it shows the rest of the screen in white colour

Same thing for my F34. The bimmercode way doesn’t work for everyone but it can still be coded via a remote coded
You need file full screen flashing thin work 100% full screen
Yeah I just read on the Bimmerpost forum it depends on the model of your Headunit. If it turns white then like the others said you will need remote coding for it to work.

It should as the software would be the same. This coding only works if you have a newer head unit
