I don't think he mentioned the rear view camera that is an option during driving. It's accessible through the rear view mirror. You can flip the lever on the bottom of the mirror for regular view, or rear camera view which gives a much broader view. When I drive I use this to get a full view behind me of all lanes of traffic.
I was in the same limbo. This has a few features that Buick Enclave Avenir does not have. One of the feature is 3D view around the car which was missing in Buick enclave Avenir because it lacked extra cameras. Additionally it has just a little bit of extra space compared to Avenir. Avenir is more quiet and just a little better to drive because it has a small car look and feel. Also Cheverlet Traverse is $5000-10,000 cheaper than Buick. I just bought the Traverse High country for the above mentioned reasons and I love it so far.
Three things to ALWAYS check for before buying any car or truck. 1) Verify you can shut off ALL lights with the car in gear. Absolutely essential for going to drive-in movies for waiting outside for someone at night. 2) Verify the PASSENGER can enter an address into the navigation system when the vehicle is moving. 3) The engine does not shut off when stopping for a red light. All the above hurt resale value.
I had the lt verison and a car smashed us from the back right side of the car it did take some damaged and the wheel exploded but the interior is fine and the kids are ok it's recommend and it's really fast and easy to drive
Been driving K-Blazers and Yukon's (3 of them) since 1981 and am looking for a new vehicle after putting 310,000 on the latest Yukon. Not going to need to do any heavy towing, but the 4WD may come in handy once or twice a year. This is $25 K less than a Denali or Premier-level Tahoe. While it doesn't have the panache of a foreign make, this is starting to look like a bargain.
Without looking at the bowtie Chevrolet logo, I would still know it's a Chevrolet by looking at the way how the head rests, seats, dashboard, centerstack, audio panel, and door boards with door handles are designed.
It may well "land in many driveways". The question is, will it also land in many mechanic shops. From a specs and feature standpoint, there is nothing significant about this that falls short compared to say the Highlander or Pilot (aside from the unexplainable lack of a rear seat entertainment system option). It's all about long term reliability and build quality.

I own a 2012 Acadia with 60k on it this is the same vehicle I love it they made the gmc smaller and made the Chevy bigger its a bargain I paid 45k in 2012 this has the same engine room and more accessories I have never had a problem in6yrs tires and brakes normal wear
Wow, what year are you living in. Almost every chevy vehicle is best in class, or at least strongly competitive. Trucks, cars, sports cars, and SUVs. All handsome, reliable and affordable.
SQUISHY!! AND YOUR NEW WORD “OODLES”.....THERES ONLY ONE DAN GRAY!! thanks as always for the review. Great looking truck. New expedition might take away sales, however....
Juansix TeenWolf I understand what your saying, but I have kids and when on long trips having a dvd entertainment system for the kids in the back is an awesome thing to have.
The seats should be the colour the customer choose.... nothing more. Why to speak about leather color, it's personal, here we learn about the vehicle, not these kind of detail
Went for a test drive. My wife sat in drivers seat and first thing she checked was for folding power mirrors. No such option, even on the high end models. That was a deal killer.... cheap omission by Chevy
Puff the Magic Dragon blog.gatewayfargo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/2018%20Traverse%20vs.%20Explorer%20Fargo.jpg?t=1510868849424&width=639&name=2018%20Traverse%20vs.%20Explorer%20Fargo.jpg That link is a pic of the two. The ford doesn’t offer Alcantar fabric and the chevy looks luxurious. The ford is a plastic dashboard and an engine that will have to be replaced 3 years later like my friends.
Erik Villegas it’s really both of those things it’s smaller and the traverse can cost more when equipped. The traverse is best in class when it comes to space and speed it does 0-60 in 6.4 seconds
Sean Mangubat MDX equipped the same is around $57,475. MDX is 7 inches shorter in length, 4 inches shorter in height, and 3rd row legroom is not too comparable. IIRC, MDX has no motion activated or hands free liftgate, no 4G WIFI standard, no dual sun/moon roof, etc. Chevy will bargain down a High Country Traverse alot, a comparable MDX, Acura will not so much. Besides the Buick Enclave (Traverse more Premium 1st cousin) is the MDX competitor, and priced in the same range the MDX is priced. Traverse competes with the Honda Pilot (MDX's less premium cousin). A similarly priced Audi Q7, is a bare bone base model Q7. Add on about $15,000 extra to the price of the High Country Traverse, to get the same goodies in a Q7. MDX/Pilot, Traverse/Enclave, are very nice looking long lasting vehicles. Q7, well people have differing opinions on the reliability of them (at least after 3 years of leasing or owning one)...
Donelle Harrison From my perspective premium trim might be enough. It gets everything you want already, and the price of premium a great deal considering for the class.
So much better than the Highlander. The quality is excellent!

im asian and 5'0 and most of my family is around that height, i think the interior space will be like a house for us
OMGz1122 lol
OMGz1122 lmao
Live in there then
howard yo , yea haha
Asian? Type?lol
I bought two Buick Rendezvous because of the Aztek...Loved them both. Haved moved on to Audi Q7 now.
Love the interior and thought put into it, but the exterior still leaves me cold. Especially for the coin.
Beautiful vehicle. Some kind of Volt-like plug-in hybrid system would make this even better.
so torn between this an the buick enclave avenir.. i like both..
Traverse for the price
Avenir much nicer looking

Traverse is better

Wow this is a beautiful automobile. I'm going to guess is the best in class.

Forgot to mention the Durango as a competitor
Gotb2chn " Competitor" barely anyone buys the durango.
Durango is in the Tahoe expedition class
This was a great review
This is not a review, it’s an ad. What are the negatives you found?
I DRIVE A GENSIS TURBO COUPE. $37,671 FOR AN LS AWD. I AM GETTING MY TRAVERSE IN BLACK.
Nice family car.
I own a 2012 Acadia with 60k on it this is the same vehicle I love it they made the gmc smaller and made the Chevy bigger its a bargain I paid 45k in 2012 this has the same engine room and more accessories I have never had a problem in6yrs tires and brakes normal wear
did chevy finally build a good vehicle?
Wow, what year are you living in. Almost every chevy vehicle is best in class, or at least strongly competitive. Trucks, cars, sports cars, and SUVs. All handsome, reliable and affordable.
Better than Ford. And I own both.
No. Government Motors

Put a v16 in it. Then it'll be interesting 👍🏻👌🏻
No dvd entertainment?
nesterg1 dvd entertainment are out of date that’s why we got iPads and iPhones now plus it gives a cleaner look
Juansix TeenWolf I understand what your saying, but I have kids and when on long trips having a dvd entertainment system for the kids in the back is an awesome thing to have.
you can order it, they all have it Chevy kicks butt for the money big time .
nesterg1 just give them an iPad mini. The traverse high country already comes with 4GLTE wifi.
It's there. Right above the VHS. Lol
Omg Chevy is finally putting Cadillac into their other brands....
Good video
verry like....
Awesome vehicle but i dont like the brown Leather it should be black leather
Shabrielle Jones black leather is sooo boring come on. I think car companies should offer MORE colors
aayonce4 im saying the seats should be black leather i dont like the brown leather
The seats should be the colour the customer choose.... nothing more. Why to speak about leather color, it's personal, here we learn about the vehicle, not these kind of detail
Very Nice
They would show the most expensive model lol

要是引入中国产销肯定销量可以
Looks so much like an Explorer.
HALWG51 no it doesn't😂 the explorer is smaller and plasticity
Chevy Fan But more reliable and better looking.

It’s good and all, but the High Country is $53K. At that price range, I’d rather go with a Q7 or MDX.
Sean Mangubat MDX equipped the same is around $57,475. MDX is 7 inches shorter in length, 4 inches shorter in height, and 3rd row legroom is not too comparable. A Q7 loaded this way will run high 70s. It's meant to compete with the Tahoe Premier and Denali.
No one pays sticker for a Chevy, at some point this year every single model at least once, has been 20% off sticker.
True, I can pick up a loaded 2018 Denali today for 10-14K off. You don't get that deal with Audi.
Chevy needs some new designers bad
I hope my dad buys this car. Watch my vids!
ugly what is new car this bad economy
TOO EXPENSIVE...
