I for a long time stopped believing the ANC, but when Ace Magashule told us on the news that him and the ANC knows how to rig elections (under the nose of the IEC), i believe him. So how does extra eyes on our voting hurt anything?

The IEC is a reputable institution which does not need imperial west (regime change professionals) for them to conduct credible, free and fair elections! I watched another show on this. Ms Emma Powell was explicit about her goal in writing the letter. That goal is to put boots on the ground so that any anomalies, be they nefarious or accidental can be picked up and corrected. Any responsible government would welcome support for a free and fair election in South Africa. She also stated clearly that the IEC is a body that is respected by all parties. The issue is enough people to cover the volume of voting stations around the country. Sounds fair to me.

Surely, bringing in more independent observers will strengthen the position of the winner. The winner could be the ANC, and so there is more to be gained than lost here. The fact that the ANC is very uncomfortable about this, and now doing all it can to give a racist spin to this, actually gives strength to the DA's argument.

The integrity of anc anf iec are the reason ppl want to make sure this is done correctly. Anc cant be mad ppl dont trust them when thryhave been allowed to loot and destroy steal and punish south africans for 30 yrs without accountability or justice.
