Truly one of the nicest celebrities and he loves encouraging children. I saw him do a pantomime (a type of family show) in the UK and he ended it by saying to all the kids in the audience that they all have the potential to do great things. What a guy.
Henry Winkler is a national treasure. May he live to be 200.
@@clintstudt3796 Proof?
Coming soon to a network near you I promise , Pandemonium on the horizon, you will be shocked at the folks revealed ,
Fun coincidence - I teach English to Chinese children online. For the past 2 weeks our lessons for the younger students have actually been focused on Winkler's books and about dyslexia.
Please don't teach English to Chinese, we Indians will lose all our IT and IT enabled service jobs. Lol, please.
@@purumr I'm gonna sound mean, but I mean no disrespect. Heavy Indian accents speaking English, I have a hard time understanding them. Heavy Chinese accents speaking English, though, not so much. Unless you were my one TA in calculus (Chinese exchange student), "the X is scared" "SCARED OF WHAT?! SHOULD I BE?"
@@jkap34 I find it opposite. in fact, many US and UK friends of mine told me Chinese accent English is much more harder to understand than Indian accent English. I have seen IT projects moved from China to India just because of that. Also, indian who studied in English medium school from grade 1 in tier 1 or 2 cities which Is very common, will not have heavy accent. With just knowing English you can easily live and manage in any tier 1 or 2 cities in India, you cannot say the same for China.
@@purumr very true. I live in Hong Kong (where the level of English also appears to be declining, although the only evidence I have for this is anecdotal) and often go to Shanghai and Beijing. Very hard to get by without knowing Mandarin there. Didn't have the same experience when visiting Delhi and Goa.
Henry Winkler: Come for the "Eeeeeeeeeyyyy", stay for the "He seems like a genuinly nice person I'd like to have a conversation with"
Chase dreams, regardless what everyone else say to you.
You can achieve greatness
What if dream is to be next Hitler or travel 75.4 billion light years away. Have a seat.
I have a signed copy of Hank Zipzer"I got a D in salami". I met Henry Winkler after he did a lecture/book signing at a college by my house. I have dyslexia and my mom took me to check it out when I was younger. He was super cool and nice as hell when I met him.
If I literally ate 250 pounds of sugar, I still wouldn't be as sweet as that man.
Bless you, Henry Winkler. ♥
As a kid who grew up with dyslexia and still struggles with it as a woman in her early 20s, this man has always been a huge inspiration to me. I hope that I can meet him one day. Also the new book comes out a day before my birthday which is pretty dang cool. 😊
In my 3rd grade class (I’m a senior in high school now) my teacher read the first few hank zipzer novels and to be honest the story stuck with me ever since then! I’m glad to hear Henry winkler is still writing books.
I loved him in Scream 1 and Warerboy. Him as the Principal in Scream was an underrated role.
Who knew the Fonz would grow older and be even cooler, makes me smile every time I hear from him :D
Love him in comedies. He was hilarious in the Water Boy.
MUCH RESPECT TO THE FONZ. HE ALWAYS TURNED TO ANDY WHILE TALKING.
They both Just seem like such lovely people
We all should write a book before we die!
Wow and all the scripts he had to read. Respect!
blessings to this gentle soul
He's the man. A good man!
I don’t know why but I really want this guy in Stranger Things
I don't want to risk that in fear that they'll kill him off

For me he is Fonzie forever. Yup, I was a kid at 70's and early 80's. I even had a Fonzie poster on the wall.

Alien on a sitcom was done by American Dad too
Dude was channeling his inner Shatner while describing that alien book.
We need Daisy on the couch! Get it done, guys!
Conan hair blew off.. he was basically saying we are ALL human
Isn't that what Alf is?
That man is a damn saint.
Awesome!!
Did that spaceship have the shape of an egg, by any chance?
I think it also landed in Stanley, N.M.
Cool guy!!
When I'm famous I'm gonna reference this comment on my first interview with Conan.

Mind blowing fact:
literally anyone can write a book. It's not hard.

Anyone else getting tired of these "no one would ever guess you had (insert whatever) and look what you've accomplished!" themes? Apart from the reductive inspiration porn aspect, we get it. He's able to succeed, so why haven't we? Someone else overcame adversity, so why haven't you? We'll celebrate him, but you - back to work.
