Yes!! Loved all the same things you raved about. If I need more, or different, slots, they're close by!! I would ABSOLUTELY stay there!! Looks delightful!!!! ❤❤❤❤
My family stayed here before my dad passed, he really loved it. It was his 1st time to Vegas. We are coming back in November. Any "November " time ideas for our stay?
You are sooooooo much better than anyone else doing this. Hands down the absolute best. It's so apparent that you care about giving us the information we want to know, and it's not about you. So incredibly refreshing. Thank you so very, very much for all that you do. It is incredibly appreciated.
I stayed there Dec 27-30, 2022 and it's my third time staying there. I go to Vegas about 4 times a year and only stay on the strip maybe 2 times a year. Downtown Grand had great room rate, very clean and newer looking room in the Gallery Tower(same as the room in Ruby's video). A fairly new hotel maybe 10 years old. Comfortable bed. The bathroom looked new and clean as well. Freedom Beat had tasty food but wasn't very busy. You can grab a quick slice at Pizza Rock right across the narrow street. And it's good to be off of Fremont Street a bit so you can sleep at night! It's a great home base for a few days downtown! Thanks Ruby for the video!!
We get blackjack from Ruby too? This Gal does everything. The only channel I get slots, food, room review, drinks & she wears. cool fashion too. Good job and this Grand hotel is a hidden Gem🎉👍🍀😻
Thanks for doing your videos I live in Vegas and everyone always asks for advice on where to stay . I stay in my apartment so I have no idea . I let everyone know about your site and they can see everything . They love it and so do I .
Haven't been there in a while, so I just checked the deals. There's a Gambler's Special with 25 points played daily ($25 in) for 50% off select items at Freedom Beat. The Prime Rib deal is now $14.99. The last time I was there it was half off at about $10 or $11, and now it's not half off. Still a very good deal. And it's AMAZING! We haven't gone in a while, but we'll definitely be back. We stayed there just once in 2019. I'd definitely stay there again if I was going to stay in the Downtown area.
Yay! You finally stayed at my favorite property. We have a group of friends who have been to going Vegas for years- this is where we stay every year and it’s such a fun time and even within walking distance to Container Park and so many other fun things Downtown!
Long-time Vegas visitor and a resident for many years. I love Ruby's reviews because I think they're honest. We just stayed in the old Hilton property (the Westgate), but after several stays we'll be looking to relocate. I have to say that this makes a compelling case (along with the Golden Nugget) for staying downtown (as I did with the Nugget in younger days). Wow.
I showed your website to my banker she and her girlfriends are going to Vegas and we're very impressed with your videos keep up the good work we really enjoy the insight you give in a very down-to-earth unpretentious manner
Wow! Good to know about this place! I'd never even heard of it before. I did go to the Mob Museum once when I was staying at Golden Nugget but I never gave any of the surrounding hotels a second glance! I wish I'd known about it then, I would have been playing blackjack and craps like crazy! And a pool too! Here I thought only Golden Nugget and Circa were the only downtown hotels with any sort of pool to talk about!
Maybe you could request a mini fridge. We did at a hotel in the Bahamas and they brought it right up. We will be coming to Las Vegas in early June, staying at the Jockey Club as usual. Should we try the Bacchanal Buffet or The Palms Buffet? We've been to neither. Properties with a gym are very important to me. If they have them I wish you would cover them in you video too. Thanks for the videos. They are informative and helpful!
Should mention that LVA coupon is good for up to 5 days with NO resort fee. Great place to have a great time. Food is very good and affordable and everyone is very friendly.
I used to go to Vegas a lot in my singles days. Now that I'm married...not so much. My casino was The California. How is it nowadays? I noticed you don't have a video on them yet. Thanks for the great channel!
I have never gambled and have never been to Vegas but I have my first work conference in Vegas scheduled for late April and I discovered your channel while looking into “beginner tips for Vegas”. Thanks to your videos I now have planned out at least two subsequent trips as well as starting to learn how to play casino gambling games. Thank you!!!!
Just got back from staying at the Four Queens. I was most impressed with Downtown Grand on my tour of all the different places. I think next time I'll stay there. Seems like they may try a little harder because they're not in the middle of the madness underneath the canopy. It was the only $5 craps table downtown. The french toast I had at Freedom Beat was the best I've ever had. And since they're a little bit away from the non-stop blanket of noise, (that gets pretty old after three straight nights) I would imagine it's a trifle bit more peaceful at night. No mini fridge is a drag though. Nothing is better than coming back to your room after walking around forever and having ice cold water waiting for you to enjoy the rest of the night.
Stayed here, loved it! BUT had a view of Golden Spike club, and the noise bled through. So the windows facing EAST do not block the noise. Plus, a block away is a 7-11 if you want no line, affordable coffee.
We’ve been to Vegas 4 times in the last year. We’ve stayed at NYNY. My wife likes the location and vibe plus the restaurants. Now that MGM doesn’t have $1.00 chips in the roulette tables it’s time to stay downtown. We had the best time at the Nugget and The D last week. Our son has stayed at the Downtown Grand and recommended it. He normally stays at Circa. But likes the grand also. Your video has confirmed that We’ll give it a shot. Thanks
I love your videos, Ruby. I'd only been to the casino not long after it opened. It wasn't very impressive then. It looks much improved. Thanks for sharing!
I look for your reviews because of how thorough you are. I would recommend you to anyone who doesn't or hasn't been to Vegas for deals on best cheap eats and great dinning and hotel stays. I appreciate the wrap ups when you do price points, etc. Go Travel Ruby!
Enjoyed this video. Thank you for showcasing the Downtown Grand. With the low table limits going to definitely be on my list to visit. However, I did notice that the craps table appeared very crowded for a Monday. With the low table limits I wonder how hard it would be to find a spot to play on any table game? Looking forward to your next video.
Hi Ruby and Mr. Ruby! My hubby and I were just visiting Vegas…..March 29 thur April …. We stayed at The Bellagio and so enjoyed our stay. So on Friday March 31 we went over to New York New York and we were standing right behind you, Mr. Ruby and another couple was with you. Mr. Ruby was cashing out a slot voucher…..I so wanted to say something. I was so excited to just see you. This was our first visit to Vegas and we had a Wonderful Time ❤
The DTG continental breakfast is a great deal, with good food, but need to get there earlier before they run out of stuff. For Freedom Beat breakfast, the French toast is amazing.
Also all the times we’ve stayed at golden nugget we’ve never heard the noise from freemont. Just my knowlege. Fridges are at a premium in vegas, i take a collapsible cooler and find the ice machine. On to your slot play video now. Thanks
I ONLY stay here when I head to vegas. My host Curt is the absolute best and I just love the location. Never miss out on the Triple George. The Crawfish place is an absolute joke and told me they weren’t associated with the DTG, only after finishing our meal, when I was there over St Paddy’s day weekend-bummer. Thanks for reviewing. You did it Justice.
Thank you so much for this. I kept seeing this place and didn’t know. I feel like downtown is really working for their money. I’ll definitely be paying them a visit.
Stayed there on the 16th floor. Had a blast. Saw Paulie Shore do a comedy act too in the casino. He was very funny. Freemont Street was so close and was able to enjoy it as well. Would definitely go back! And on a side note. My friends thought I was nuts, but I walked from the Grand all the way to the south end of the strip. Glad I did! It was an adventure 😊😂.
Your videos are so awesome my mom loves you we just stayed at dtgrand and we loved it gallery tower ty for helping us plan a trip to vegas for a vacation
The Grand is always a visit, if we dont stay ther (which we've done many times) then we go hav b'fast at Freedom Beat(one of my fav's) and gamble....good place to play! Glad this place is finally getting a bit of a buzz....also, I'm bummed this place is getting a bit of a buzz! Ha! One of MY hidden gems! 👍
Downtown in general is so much better for people who prefer table games. The cost of table games on the strip are definitely meant for much bigger spenders.
I watch every single one of your videos and I LOVE every single one! However, will you be giving updated reviews on strip hotels? Like for example, what is different at Planet Hollywood/Paris/Horseshoe? Trying to figure out what’s best for my summer stay!
I stayed there 2 years ago. My room was just down the hall from this room. The room was great. The casino is small but nice. The Grand is very nice, but their parking garage was nasty. Every morning, in the parking garage stairwell, it smelled of urine and feces.(because there were urine and feces). There were people who passed out on the steps. I had to watch where I stepped. Triple George Grill is very good! I have been there a few times. We enjoyed the enclosed booths for privacy and a bit less noise. Other than the parking garage, I enjoyed the Grand and would stay there again.
Thank you for your review! It's been years since i stayed here and I am booked for 3 weeknights in May. I can't believe they still have $5 3-2 blackjack here! I certainly hope they do during the week I am in town. Did you notice if any of the free seats at the pool had an umbrella nearby? it's hard to tell whether that's the case. Also not sure if you drove but I assume because of how relatively small the hotel is that the parking garage is not far from the check in desk?
Love the fact that your continuing to actually stay overnight at these properties even though you are local now. The “how did you sleep” feedback is helpful.
Thoughts on Downtown Grand?
Would you stay here?
Hey Ruby, can you please do a video on which vegas Hotels has the cleanest rooms and/or best housekeeping?
@Joe mo Sorry For Your Loss My Sincere Condolences 🙏🏼To Your Family In November 18-20 2023 Formula-1 🚘 Car Racing Will Be Here If This Helps
Saw 👀 that get 2nights and get 1 free 😎 🆒️. 👍
Can Vegas just sponsor Ruby already ? This woman has helped me plan 2 Vegas trips already. If she says go I Go!
Agreed!! All of my Vegas trips start with Ruby!! We now stay downtown or off the strip bc of all her videos!! She’s the best!
You are sooooooo much better than anyone else doing this. Hands down the absolute best. It's so apparent that you care about giving us the information we want to know, and it's not about you. So incredibly refreshing. Thank you so very, very much for all that you do. It is incredibly appreciated.
was just in vegas and went to the mob museum highly recommend if you like that kind of stuff
That's a nice view. I stayed there when it was called the Lady Luck. Even back then, it was a decent hotel/casino.
Me toooooo a long long time ago!!! Loved it!

I HATE those half door showers! Who feels like soaking up an inch of water on the floor when you are done showering??
Agreed.
I had one at The D. I spent 10 minutes trying to “shut the door” after realizing that it was it. 😂 Didn’t like showering in there.
It's the only thing that I remember not liking about the room. Otherwise great!
Totally agree!!!
God, I hate them too! That’s a European trend that should have stayed over there.
9:43 Yes Queen! LOVE the Taylor shirt!!!! Nicely done review, love your shooting style and vibe!
Would love it if you could show a quick peek at the fitness center in each property too please Ruby
I've suggested the same thing.
@@Teddy31976 It wouldn't hurt to locate and use one.
We get blackjack from Ruby too? This Gal does everything. The only channel I get slots, food, room review, drinks & she wears. cool fashion too. Good job and this Grand hotel is a hidden Gem🎉👍🍀😻

Love the Downtown Grand!!

I just spent a week in Vegas and Hogs and Heffers was the most fun I had. It's not for the faint of heart 😅

You do a fantastic job reviewing each property
Amazing Video about a totally underrated resort. Love to gamble there, Pizza Rock next door ist awesome!
Love your property reviews...learn something new everytime.. thanks

Love downtown grand my favorite spot on Fremont. They treat you right
We stayed there in June of 2020. Vegas was just opening back up, we had the best stay. Very clean rooms, great service, and it was quiet.
your vids are very helpful in my decision making, thank you
Great review! I know my husband will be interested in the roulette & table games due to reasonable bets. Thanks again!🇨🇦❤️
I love your videos, Ruby. I'd only been to the casino not long after it opened. It wasn't very impressive then. It looks much improved. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve loved the Triple George since 2015.
Great review, I do like the look of it.
The DTG continental breakfast is a great deal, with good food, but need to get there earlier before they run out of stuff. For Freedom Beat breakfast, the French toast is amazing.
Another great review, Ruby! Great advice for gamblers looking for the best table game rules and reasonable limits for average players! 😉👍🌴🌴🌴
Another top job Ruby , your videos are always great
Thank you for full disclosure on room comp because of filming 😊
Also all the times we’ve stayed at golden nugget we’ve never heard the noise from freemont. Just my knowlege. Fridges are at a premium in vegas, i take a collapsible cooler and find the ice machine. On to your slot play video now. Thanks

Love the Sidecar as your drink at the steakhouse. One of my favorite drinks…
Loved those motion blurs
Thanks for the heads up! Sounds like a great place! I'm definitely going there for the exact supper you enjoyed!
Another gr8 vid by team Ruby👍! Keep up the gr8 work
Haven't been to Vegas for 20+ years and thought I would never want to go back, but after watching your videos/revi ews may have to revisit.
Stayed there in June ...liked it alot... recommend highly.
Good job on telling us about the Grand.
This is a great Vegas video. Thanks for sharing!
Good vlog. One of my favorites to stay at. Ty for sharing😁
Great review love it!!
Thank you so much for this. I kept seeing this place and didn’t know. I feel like downtown is really working for their money. I’ll definitely be paying them a visit.
Never stayed at the grand. Just gambled. Really informative. Amazing table limits.
Id love to see what its like in warmer weather!!
They have a good comedy club as well. I'm looking to stay here next time I'm in town.

I'm staying there at the end of this month. I'm so glad you did this review.
We stayed there in 2014 when we got married and loved it! Spent some time at Hogs and Heffers next door too!

Thanks for an interesting and informative video !
Love the reviews
The bloom is off the rose.
Doing an awesome job Ruby!
Good review. I look forward to my stay 😁
I love the mins at the table games
I enjoyed this hotel as well! Live near the area now as well.
Downtown in general is so much better for people who prefer table games. The cost of table games on the strip are definitely meant for much bigger spenders.
Thank you for the information. Very thorough.
The"Hidden" bar in the Mob museum is great!
Stayed there last year good basis value room was clean, but the staff could have been friendly I tipped when I won on blackjack
Switched from staying at Oasis at Goldspike to Downtown Grand. You can bring your pets to DTWN Grand too!
I watch every single one of your videos and I LOVE every single one! However, will you be giving updated reviews on strip hotels? Like for example, what is different at Planet Hollywood/Paris/Horseshoe? Trying to figure out what’s best for my summer stay!
Definitely will be revisiting strip properties
Wow. Looks like a nice place to stay & gamble.
Loved staying there when it was the Lady Luck , I was comped then allot may drop down there again soon.
Does anyone know if Downtown Grand gives out decent comps for play? TIA!
Thank you for sharing.. I will be there in September
I stayed there 2 years ago. My room was just down the hall from this room. The room was great. The casino is small but nice.

I always appreciate your reviews, fantastic work!
Love that Grand Hotel. When did Gallery Towers open?
Great video as always
Love the Grand !
Another great review Ms. Ruby. Love the way you show the amenities of the property with honesty. Definitely worth checking out !! Thank you !
Staying there in August for the first time!
Ruby, very nice video, good luck to you !!!!!!
Next time you go to Triple George Grille you HAVE to get the porcini crusted ribeye. One of the best steaks I've ever had
Stayed there a long time ago when it was the Lady Luck.
