Glad to see it back, man. I bought a Dragy a while back, ( I feel like I’m telling everybody about the Dragy lol ) took it to the track to compare to a time slip. In my slow 18 sec pickup it reads consistently .04 sec slower than the time slip and within .13 mph. Very useful test and tune tool so far. I noticed the street racers are using them too.
Funny i was just thinking about you this afternoon! Glad you got it going. Don’t know if there is a way to set timing max on the fi tech but i would probably try to manual lock it at like 20deg for awhile till I knew it was handling the afr right.
I owned the exact same car from 89-93. Second owner, had a slant 6, 3 on the tree. Body was in great shape, same color green. Starting a new family, had to let it go. Thanks for sharing.
WOW… looks AWESOME! I love the 2-door Post look! Looks like a real SLEEPER! I’m actually working on my 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury with a 440. 👍 Staten Island, New York 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Some sweet noises coming out from under that hood! I recommend the dragy man, I tried one in the Jeep one day and then ran it at the track that week and it was dead on with time and mph.
Sorry you had the virus. Good to see you recovered with no major issues. Mr Jones sounds great I know you are happy to have him running again. Keep us up to date on how hes running!
Looks good running a similar setup in a valiant in Australia except for forged internals bigger turbo spec cam intercooled and holley terminator fuel system all inspired from your build keep up good work
Well hellooooo !😁 good to see you man ... been wondering if you give up RUclips lol !! 🤣 I’m glad your feeling better An happy to see you have got the car up An going !!! Look forward to see some track videos when ever you have it ready to go soon !! Cheers man 👍
Just last week I realized I haven't seen a video from Alex in a long time! I had to double-check to see if I was still subbed. Glad he's back. ( that Valient sounds awesome!)
Right on!!! Great to see you got it back up and running. Hope you have better luck with this one but I'm thinking it's going to be alright just get the tune right and run the proper fuel and everything should be alright.
@@TheGasTap That's what i thought. I was told there was a guy in Albany but nobody can get me his info. Sucks when you can't find one good engine machine shop in a city the size of Tallahassee.
Steel Mopar replica wheels 15x6 3.75” offset with 205/65 up front 15x8 4” offset with 275/60 out back All of this information and much more about the build is in the description of the video.
How do you keep your motivation? I'm having issues with my motivation and ability to focus.. I want to build my valiant (also a 69 2 door) but I have so much work to do.. it's just frustrating.. any advice?
I have mentioned this in a previous video. Motivation is crap. Be disciplined and do the work. Once you see progress your motivation to finish will awaken within you. I bet you don’t wake up every day “motivated “ to go to work, but you do it anyway. GET TO WORK! Get the car done.
That makes more since. I took that as you didn’t like the sound of something weather it was the engine, wind noise in the camera etc. Glad I was wrong.
Car sounds great and no smoke is a bonus. Glad you made it through covid. If you haven't get the vaccine of your choice so you don't get it again, or at least you won't get very sick if you do. Must be nice to have a pretty much fully rebuilt engine that's almost dialed in. Will be interesting to see how it runs and a dyno pull with a tune would be nice.
Thanks for the support EVERYBODY! Y’all are awesome!!!
Glad to see her running again. Keep the videos coming !
Good to see that baby running again.
Welcome back Mr. Jones ! And you too of course. The engine looks and sounds great
The Valiant sounds great! Glad to see you back and look forward to seeing some track passes.

The smile on your face says it all!!
“Good experience”, well said. So many times is just about learning and using whats learned. In cars as well as in life. Great vid!
Glad to see you’re OK and have made plenty of progress getting Mr J up and running while you were “away”. Can’t wait to see some track vids!
Good to see ya Alex. Mr. Jones sounding good.
Glad to see you & Mr. Jones back in action!
Good to see that you are doing well. LOL, I was thinking you might have gone on vacation as it has been a while.

Thanks for posting the turbo process. I've been wanting to do a 360 turbo in my 1968 Plymouth Satellite so learning from your experience.
Yowza Mr Jones on the beat again!!
Dang man, every time I watch your channel, I miss my Dart that much more...
Good to see it back up. I need to find a magnum 5.9 now I already have Most of a turbo kit ready lol.

Good to see you back and doing well.the valiant sounds healthy and should be a ripper when tuned .
I just checked here this AM, was wondering what happened. Engine sounds a lot healthier!
Just last week I realized I haven't seen a video from Alex in a long time!

Glad to hear you made it through Covid okay, looking forward to seeing videos when you get back to the track!

Damn, I’m glad your back. Been waiting for some action from you . Nice job . Get healthy!
Car sounds good!
It appears you are born again hard.
Good to see you back man.
Car sounds great Alex ! That Covid sucks . My family and I had it last year
Sounds and looks good
Glad you beat covid and are back!! I was beginning to wonder what happened. Car sounds really great!! Hope it raises hell at the track!!
What size is the exhaust housing on the gt45?
3.5
@@TheGasTap no I mean ar size. Sorry
I think 1.05
Right on bud!
That's a bad ass car! Awesome!
Glad to see your back Alex. I got a question for ya. I'm fixing to start a 79 Ford F100 project. Who does good engine machining in Tallahassee now?
No one. My buddy uses a guy in Panama City.
@@TheGasTap That's what i thought. I was told there was a guy in Albany but nobody can get me his info. Sucks when you can't find one good engine machine shop in a city the size of Tallahassee.
That thing sounds mean. Nice work.
You were missed, I kept looking to see if I some how got unsubscribed. Mr Jones sounds great
Did you have a cover over the opening of the turbo?
Very nice and a thumbs up liked.
Nice ride
Nice car! Sound mean too.
Wow, nice project! Hi from fellow 69 Valiant er!;) Yours is an absolute killer, be carefull man;)
I've said it before and I'll say it again I'd drive the hell out of Mr Jones. I'd love your same set up in my old dodge truck
What torque converter and stall are you using ? Thanks for the video!
2400 stall from superior transmission. My buddy gave me a new one for free… so I used it.
👍💪
Your video popped up, nice man nice! You sure do alot of engine swapping lol dammm
What wheels are those ..hard to tell from pic..what's the backspacing and tire sizes front to back. Thanks
Steel Mopar replica wheels
15x6 3.75” offset with 205/65 up front
15x8 4” offset with 275/60 out back
All of this information and much more about the build is in the description of the video.
Been a minute
lots of minutes. lol
What cam did you get for it and is the intake manifold new or just painted?
The cam is a discontinued Mopar unit. Same intake painted black.
Glad your doing better! What are you doing for your hot side on the turbo setup?
I have magnum manifolds turned backwards and a lot of pie cuts for pipe.
@@TheGasTap Thanks, keep up the good work!

Now I'm curious to see how much faster Mr. Jones will be with the fresh engine and new cam.
Me too!
What gear you running
3:55 gear, he lists most information about the car in the description of the video.
Sound 🥵
What’s the value in this comment? I always try to add value to help someone/better them.
@@TheGasTap The value is that I really liked the sound of the engine
That makes more since. I took that as you didn’t like the sound of something weather it was the engine, wind noise in the camera etc. Glad I was wrong.
Bring it up racing October 9th, #MoparVsBrandXstreetcarShowdown
That was my goal but I think work is going to keep me from meeting you guys once again. We’ll see. I really want to go.
How are you, Alex? How goes the valiant?
I’m good. The Valiant is getting close. I’ve been driving it today!!
Im glad you are allrigrht. Home to see you again soon. Is it fast?
I’ve been tuning n/a and found a problem. It’s going to be better this time around. 👌🏼
@@TheGasTap keep trying. It will be a success.
I had one just like this but with the 225 slant six nearly 50 years ago. It was one of the most forgettable cars I’ve ever owned.
i think the air inlet needs fresher air i think you are getting a lot of underhood hot air just my opinion
I gotta ask...where'd you get your shirt. It's killer man.
THE GAS TAP MERCH!!!!! www.storefrontier.com/thegastap

Shouldve left the carb on. A good tune is just as good as fuel injection. Otherwise, sweet ride man
