I like the wheel. Came from a g29. Everyone had their own taste and ok like the look. I don't want to mess it up with stickers either. And I'm not set with my buttons. I have the GT4 also and the alpha mini. Great stuff.
I have the leather. Fit and feel are great.
Over 6 mins to get to the wheel… :(. Hopefully other vids get to the point much quicker. Thx for the review.
Lol cry baby
I reckon I'm going to pick one up for my moza r9; it weighs less than the ES I'm using and I like the leather and the customization.
Will it work with the Moza (R9)?
@@jgloc25 no, but it will showcase nice with the simagic logo
@@Arvidje too late, got mine week ago. Disappointing wheel, nice buttons and encoders, but worse/hardest grip I've had, and quite thin. Hope the GT Pro hub and wheel will be better.
@@jgloc25 did u have the leather version?
@@ArvidjeYes leather, for longevity as my T300 599XX alcantara wheel was good only at the start. I thought it would be the same leather like the Moza CS wheel (which was nice to hold), but unfortunately not. It has thin leatherette, so there's not much cushioning and you can feel hard metal inside as you grip the wheel,.... and the diameter is quite small too.
I like mine. Just wish it was bigger.
I felt like this wheel felt very cheap for how much it costed.
that's a nice wheel! i actually prefer the way this wheel looks vs other ones in the price range. at least on video it looks very high quality. I'm curios why you would be underwhelmed?
Thanks for commenting, I guess it's the law of diminishing returns, or it could be that size matters and I'm so accustomed to a 320/330mm rim, I think with more use I will change my tone, I will do a first impressions of it in use and let you know.
@@AshHobsonso how do you think it compares to a 320mm wheel for rallying?
@@Jose-pq4bc personally, the wheel is too small for me to rally, i tend to use it as a GT3/Sports car wheel rather than rally, dont get me wrong, its a great wheel, nice and chunky, but i prefer the larger diameter. If i could go back, i would of purchased the GT Hub and fitted an aftermarket rim as a catch all.
Thanks for the reply! That is exactly what I intend to do. Get a 320mm wheel and the gt pro hub.
There was a particular reason to choose the alcantara version for you? I'm really undecided wheter I should take this or the leather one. I prefer the feel of alcantara, but I also like playing without being forced to wear gloves. I don't know...
I am hopefully getting the leather rim shortly so I will be able to offer a better comparison for the feel. I would suggest leather as it will last longer and no need to maintain it.
What monitor is that? Looks nice!
Liyama G-master 34inch (21:9), sadly it only has freesync, but otherwise a very capable monitor!
Thanks for letting me know!
I'm very interested, can you pls tell me is your simagic base reliable? Did you have any issues. I'm considering buying simagic so i want to know this stuff. Thank you. Great vid.
The software is in beta, so there are regular updates, not all of them are problem free however they also have a firmware version that is reliable. It is more involved than thrustmaster or logitech. But if you have any issues the simagic discord always comes up with a solution or top tips.
Nice wheel! Maybe with adapter to Simucube also? :)
Let me investigate and get back to you, but would need some modification, more than a traditional button plate wheel.
I'm very very jealous I'm coming over
Does gts work work with moza bases ?? . As I will be purchasing them soon
Not natively, the wheel will fit onto the moza wheelbase as they both use NRG Quick releasw . you can plug the USB-C into the wheel and use the buttons through simagic software, but it won't be a strong fix and won't work natively through Moza Pithouse software. Best get one of the Moza Wheels TBH.
So I have to use a separate software for sim magic wheel to work on moza base , Like I wont be able to control the wheel into the moza hub instead I have to use sim magic software @@AshHobson
Nice video mate.
Cheers buddy, I hope you are well!
what's with your little wee monitor?
That's for obs/overlays for streams etc..
@@AshHobson nah i mean the one behind your wheel homie
@@johnspencefareal420 sorry bud, I'm not sure what you referring to, if you mean my main monitor, the specs are in the description.
@@AshHobson Why do you use a 34 inch as your main monitor
@@johnspencefareal420 because its bigger than my 24inch...... lol. in my old place i had to fit in a certain space so a 49inch or triples wasn't an option.
What rim is that in the back ground?
OMP 35cm deep dish, great wheel for rallying.
Thanks, I am wanting to add a MPI rim. Was just wondering how it would work with the Quick Release
@@AshHobson
@ericdriggans632 with simagic quick release there is a 50mm or 70mm pattern version, aslong as your wheel has the same pattern as your quick release it can just marry up easily.
Clickbait title. Nothing about why you regret buying it.
@PhilThompson-y8r fair point, in short the wheel feels nice, buttons are lovely, shifter clicks are purposeful without being too noisy, and alcantara is soft, although I should of got leather.
Bad points. Too few buttons, It's too small for me, paint on wheel chips easily, and it doesn't look like a "proper" racing wheel. I should've gone for the GT pro hub and aftermarket wheel. The £40 saving getting this I don't think was worth it.
@@AshHobson Appreciate the reply. Interesting about the lack of buttons and the "proper" racing wheel comment. I race in VR so high number of buttons is a must. I just worry the GT Pro would be a bit big. Thanks again for your reply.
@PhilThompson-y8r no worries. I found that with ACC, for example, I just needed a few more inputs on the wheel to have complete functionality, like it's a compromised wheel.
Proper wheel is of course, personal preference, but this wheel doesn't look like any wheel I've seen on a race car, hence being underwhelmed. Hope that helps!
