even in it's original version this is the best rally game ever- the physics..graphics..handling of the cars..realism..stress..hardship..immersiveness..tracks..overall feel...this game was not intended for mass population but for real hardcore rally fans and that's why it was neglected and silently 'prosecuted' by corporate world of 'easy fun' experience...I can say we'll always return to this game no matter what big companies put out for us in the future...

sound is okay with leza's sound mod! Default mix is just awful. I have no stutter with 144hz personally

I had this originally on Xbox when it first came out just recently got it on PS5 store not played it for a long time I forgot how much I enjoyed it

Too bad for the punctures. I wasn't completely happy with the setup but had to just go. Taxi is definitely the fastest in WRC -I don't think I've even been to half of the locations yet. Haha the silent hill PS2 graphics do look like their only purpose is to limit the render distance. The 7th stage was unbareable in that regard. Graphics are even worse using the VR mod at the moment. I picked up a 20 second penalty pushing my luck on the repair screen unnecessarily, for the loss. Still trying to figure it all out. I think the shifter cam could be cool. Thanks for the stream.

For me Colin McRea 1 on PSX. I loved it! The gritty, dirty, rainy, grey feel of those damp feeling forests. Class! I borrowed a Sega Saturn from a mate and my other mate had a cheap 100 (Irish Punts) wheel with pedals and a sequential shifter attached... I broke it playing Sega Rally too much! R.I.P! Then I was a fucking pro in the arcades on Sega Rally and was buzzing my ass off with the H pattern in the arcade. Then Colin 2.0 and v rally but i always just loved Colin mc 1... Then came Gran Turismo 1... Mindblowing game....

Ive got to say, they've greatly remedied the performance issues as of late. took a little while to get the ball rolling but everything is much improved now.

Keeping my eye on the game but I don't have much hope of a smooth running game anytime soon to be honest. Better is obviusly not 'there' yet. Thanks for sharing.

I still enjoy the original Colin Mcrae games. The graphics don't bother me at all. Obviously the physics and feel of the vehicle is what's important and that's where the newer games like RBR, Dirt and WRC shine but the oldies are still fun.

Not sure why this game got so much hate. I think simply because wasn´t made by codemasters. Anyway, in this game we have: Great diversity of cars. Diversity of disciplines. Great hadling, specially with wheel. Amazing force feedback. Best co-driver I have seen in long time since it is recorded on stage and it doesn´t simply input the notes. Funny and well designed stages. Just missing few more location in rally, but apart of this, this is one of the greatest rally games done in the last 10 years.

Over 6 mins to get to the wheel… :(. Hopefully other vids get to the point much quicker. Thx for the review.

Right on - coming from an alpha mini owner. I love it but don't liked to fiddle with settings on the wheel or car. Don't know what I'm doing also.

I like the wheel. Came from a g29. Everyone had their own taste and ok like the look. I don't want to mess it up with stickers either. And I'm not set with my buttons. I have the GT4 also and the alpha mini. Great stuff. I have the leather. Fit and feel are great.
