Dave grohl bought the old neev console from sound city a world famous studio and built his own studio around that same console and records on old school 2 inch tape! its the same console they recorded nevermind on! the console was hand wired and cost 70k in the mid 70s! that's 350k in today's money! so wen sound city went out of biz Dave jumped at the chance to own possibly the worlds coolest most historic peace of rock and roll history in the universe! slayer recorded reign in blood at that studio fleetwood mac rick springfeild all the la metal bands in the 80s recorded on that console! and its still pumping out works of art such as Alice in chains black returns to blue!

Black gives way to blue is excellent because it has Elton John on the keys and I've been listening to him forever (thanks mom) and I like the whole damn album. It seems that they have grown with me as many bands have. Kudos Jerry!
