I completely agree with you Mack...I started singing in my little Pentecostal Church in Alabama when I was about 10 years old and I listened to Kenny and learned all of their music. I miss hearing Kenny sing. He was taken way to soon. I thank God we still have all of his albums and these RUclips videos are great.
If you ever saw this group live in concert, you know what feeling they were talking about, because as Ronnie always said "If this don't stir your soul, then your spoon's done fell out of your bowl"!!!! This is what it's all about.
this is what is called an "annoited" group...their are groups out there with great harmony but no passion.many are called but few are chosen. When you can feel the spirit almost 30 years past recording date you have something special.
I love this song by The Hinsons. Kenny on left end is just having a ball. The lady singing here is their sister, Yvonne. They will bless your soul. We just don't see many groups like this. Augusta churches don't even support these singings that much. Of course, there aren't groups like this too much. There's nothing wrong with contemporary music, but it doesn't hurt to truly enjoy this type singing. God Bless You & ALL The Hinsons. Gwen Weaver
Please remind me how Bo is related to Kenny, Larry, & Ronny. Many Blessings to all of the Hinson Family. Playing these favorites in loving memory of Larry & Kenny today.
The Hinsons were and still are such an awesome group, but you've got to give credit to this awesome band as well. This band could follow Ronnie and Kenny in their antics and keep right on cue with every part of the service. Notice as Ronnie turns to Kenny and says "I want you to slow it down, mmmm." You can hear the pianist gently play the key cuing the singers in on the note after Ronnie had spend a couple of minutes talking. Good solid band and singers!
+Kyle Mac Almost. Tracy on drums, me on steel (to Tracy's left), Huckaba on bass, Kelly Back on guitar, Rodney LaShum on piano. RIP Kenny, Rodney and Tracy
Jay, yeah the band is nothing but bass+drums until they found me about 1:03. Rodney's piano is barely there, and Kelly might as well have not shown up. Typical of the wannabe sound men back then who didn't care about anything except rock and needed to take a bath. You gotta love a 3 piece bass/drums/steel band. They couldn't even figure it out in a 7 minute song.
You are thinking about their brother Larry on the Gospel Singing Jubilee. Bo is Ronny's son. He wasn't on the Gospel Jubilee. Larry left the group and their nephew Eric replaced Larry. When Eric left he was replaced by Bo.
Wonder how a church gets gospel groups to sing at their church. I would think you have to pay them quite a lot. Especially since they are backed by professional-level musicians
Hello everyboby! May God bless you all in the name of Jesus our Lord. I need a help from some of you. I'm a Brazilian guy and I would like to know exactly what Ronnie says when he speaks to the people. So, if someone here could type the words that he said, I will be able to translate here and get moore understanding about the message as well. I would be thankfull and happy. I'm waiting for anwers. again God bless you all.
Folks if you don't know who Daryll LeCroy is thats giving this information? You didn't follow this family and band...I know who you Daryll and you know what you are talking about bud...
Saw the Original Hinson's twice in the late 80s. No doubt about it. Kenny Hinson was the very best male vocalist ever in Southern Gospel Music.

Best Band Ever. Did Kenny manage and hire the band?
FYI this can't be 1987. I'm playing steel on this, and I went back with Gold City in fall of 1986.
I'm glad whoever was mixing this finally found you after a minute or 2.

Daryll LeCroy man you guys were the BEST
I'll second that!! The Hinsons band were a true inspiration. Best of the best.
Wow that's amazing. That's some great steel playing man. That whole band was awesome
bo looks totally different than when they were on gospel jubile
