I scheduled a meeting with 3 Altroz owners to get an update about Altroz. In my previous video NIlesh Brother's all 3 spark plugs were gone bad (As par Tata Service Center) so he had to change it and lag issue was resolved. 2 other Altroz owners drove the car and confirmed that there is a significant difference. Let here from them.

Tata showroom offers me 9 inches touchscreen(megavox) with reverse parking camera and 4 jbl speaker (320watt) and RD centre locking (one flip key and one remote key) and this cost me 30000rs and 1 year warranty
So what should I do?

There is a possibility ki jo spark plugs ka batch jo Tata ko mili thi for Altroz could have been faulty. I'm worried ki jitne bhi Altroz sell hue hai unhe recall kiya jaa sakta hai

No issue found in spark plug and there is one ECU AL04 Update is there. The software is not ready for XT variant. It's only available for xz now. Once tata release it for XT, then I will update and get the performance checked. Now still lag is there.

Please help my altroz is xe rythm petrol and i reside in Delhi....my car is giving me 8kmpl average and is missing in 2nd gear and viberation in ac is too much...there is a miss in pick up when it comes to 1st and second gear...and in full tank it runs just 229km.....sab motors service center people are not wven helping....please could you help if you are facing the same and has resolved?
Mere tiago 2018 model me bhi same problem tha.
I will tell the reason : Tata cost cutting ke liye ek ghatiya brand ka spark plug deta hai jo rear side se compression leak karta hai.
I changed mine after running 20k kms, used NGK iridium spark plugs. Lag chala gaya totally.
Champion spark plugs are not good i doubt they are using same in altroz

This fault is a disappointing one and is the main complaint I felt. I am very happy to thanks to these guys because there is no responds from Tata itself when I complained. Please give spark pulg specifications and help us....🙏🙏🙏
A Brand new vehicle is having serious silly issues AC Air coming without switching, Gear Jerks, switch on/off colour feds off .. Tata kindly consider these hopeless issues after all we have hard earn money to come true our dream🙏

This lag is present in many tata cars with un updated ECU. These days cars run on electric throttle rather than cable throttle. The lag is due to synchronisation between the two electronic motors each present on gas pedal and fi system. Just update the ecu code at service center for the 1sec lagfree experience

Id like you to go more in depth. Was the spark plug from the same brand as before? Are there any difference between the old and new plug? Spark plug burning is usually due to bad fuel or improper air/fuel mixture. Preamature failure happens majorly because of these 2 issues. Please elaborate on this. Also u mentioned having raised accelerator , is this idling your talking about?

Absolutely right.
Owners of Altroz must get the problem of spark plug fixed under warrenty. You should mention whether the new spark plug was of the same brand as to the spare one.
Third and the most important thing is that if it is really an issue with the spark plug or something more serious like ignition system problem as mentioned by you. If the ratio of the air and the fuel isnt optimal it will start recurring what you were experiencing before.
So tata must resolve this asap.

Kounsa spark plug lagaya aur kahan se lagaya ?
I purchased Altroz XT on Nov 13 from faridabad. The VIN number shows manufacturing to be in November itself. I may be wrong, but I have not felt any power loss or lag issue while changing gears, and the rpm seems higher too. Is is possible that the issue has been resolved on Tata's end, or am I missing something ?

Hi @Ridiculously Amazing, I really appreciate your videos. You are doing great job by spreading awareness about safe cars, especially Tata. I own a tiago and i face huge problem with 2nd and reverse gear. I would appreciate if you make a video about it and discuss how we can resolve it. Unfortunately the service center near my location is not ready to entertain the issue.

Thank you for the solution provided here. Service provider at Tirupur had advised to check the gear box(by dismantling it) and to check the clutch assembly to decipher the problem. But after seeing this video I told them to change the spark plug only, to their disappointment. Now the car is working fine with the new spark plugs.

Jerk issue will be fixed after ECU update to AL04. AC fan blower direction issue will be there

It's substandard or wrong specifications plug....
1. There is some other mechanical issue i believe. Did Tata actually do RCA to find why the spark plugs went bad?
2. If an ECU update fixed the issue, I suspect this is a workaround. Any software engineers here?

@@hemalnaik7909 ok, it is not the gear shifting issue, I also have this problem in tiago, my tiago engine feels sluggish or hesitates on first gear and when I turn on the AC the engine lags too much. I will try changing the spark plugs next week

Hey bro, I have the same jerking issue. They adjusted the spark plug gap and cleaned it. The jerks are now reduced but some minor jerks are still there! Have contacted them will try to get it replaced 😔😕
See if AL04 is updated in your car. if not then ask dealer to get it done

Definitely tata should increase ground clearance by 7 to 8mm
Great video. Shoiuld be investigated if improvement due to spark plug change only (maybe only spark gap adjustment) , or rpm adjustment only, or due to both together. I also felt the lag even in the test car, but thought at that time maybe due to mistakenly riding the clutch, or due to high weight of car. Promising lead to TML to investigate and easily rectify.

Hi i am from Kolkata. Bhaiyaji aapki kya ray hai? Altroz lene chahiye ya nahi? Altroz ka design mujhe pasand hai, features bhi best in the segment hai. But gadi aur service centre itni sari problem bata rahe hai kya kare confuse ho rahe hai. Please give some advice.
Big No at this time. Altroz is unfinished product. lots of quality issues. Somebody is facing pickup, jerk, AC knob, low power etc etc issue. let it stand for next two years till then
Go for hyundai or Japanese cars for great reliability.
Maruti had earned the respect and build trouble free cars.
Diesel acchi hai ........ For petrol wait for Turbo model......... If we take care of our car, then car wil be in best condition ..............for servicing , aap ek din nikalo service k liye aur apne aakho k samne service karao .......... Aur jo aapka service coordinator hai unse pehechan badao to servicing acchi hogi
Wait for electric cars and charging stations in next few years. Till then buy a second hand car. Can save a lot of hard earned money 💰
@Indrajit Paul yes definitely go for it...dhulichand motors service centre is good enough(acc. to google reviews)..dont miss a good car ..its not an unfinished product...and even if its unfinished its better than popular finished product of other brands..if your concern is good engine performance go with ford...else ride quality,features,safety altroz best in segment..its ok if you live in rural areas and dont have multiple service centres..if you live in kolkata there should be no concern there are multiple service centres...and if one is bad you always have a second option

You should also talk about the windshield glare from the dashboard and how it hinders us from driving against the direct sunlight.
Have you find any solution for the windshield glare, I recently purchased and it is really frustrating, it makes me feel I'm driving a cheap quality car
@@naren121nari i try to not let the cleaners use any kind of polish. Avoid dash board polishes. With time the glare will be lesser. Its new so it is showing. Dont worry its not a cheap car bro. Trust me i just finished 11k in that car in the hills and plains never regretted.
