Petition for Karthik to review all 104 varients of the nexon 😂
Maar daala!
@@motorinc Don't be lazy Karthik 😂
Awesome 😂
While writing this comment, TATA has just added 3 more variants😅 sorry 3 more personas
i personally feel tata should drop a diesel version of altroz racer with a tuned up revotorq engine and a 6 speed greabox from nexon because the 1.5 diesel engine in altroz is a very underrated engine which can outperform the i turbo+
@@jai9293 Like Ford did with the Figo Sport!
That was another pocket rocket which people forget!
Altroz is a real underrated car. We own the 1.2 NA variant but trust me if you are upgrading from an entry level car like the Alto the performance will be great. It's enough for the city. If it's driver driven then no problem at all. The driving dynamics and comfort are spot on. Mileage isn't bad at 12-14 in city and maximum of 24 on the highway. All you need for a family car. Just take a bite for the service centres they aren't as bad as many say about. Quick tip try finding a service center in a small city or town. They are less crowded and give more time to your car.
Thanks PS! That’s helpful! How long have you had it?
@@motorinc It's been 3.5 years she's born on October, 2020. She's been trouble free apart from the battery replacement which was done a few months back!
You get 24 on highway?
@@pratyasaha9876 Bro I own an August 2020 Tata Altroz Diesel with it's 90 bhp (I wished Tata gave it atleast 100 bhp) and fat 200 nm torque, I feel it's the best engine for Altroz with it's superb handling, perfect suspension setup and dream like steering feedback it is an underrated small beast 🔥
@@harshaddhavalikar9123 Yes buddy at 80 kmph in eco mode

Thanks for letting us know!
Shumi makes me regret my choice of buying a Tata car everytime I hear him talk about them. On top of it being an EV owner I am just bracing for the next words that Shumi has to say about them 😂.
😆 No need to be @rawalsushant. Once you have a vehicle, it's the best in the world for you. 😊
Shumi doesn't like cars. Don't regret your choice based on someone who's biased towards bikes. 🫂
@@Swagat_kPno no it’s just the tatas
I am happy with my Nexon. It is my first car. Would I like other cars after that YES. But it's a nice car to have as your first.
Shumi reminds me of an average IT sector employee who is disgruntled with everything - unhappy with company, unhappy with project, unhappy with promotion, unhappy with salary, unhappy with hike, unhappy with canteen food, unhappy with that broken tap in restroom - some sort of an addiction to whine about everything and not leaving a chance to see the positives
Also with Karthikeya saying this should have been the Altroz GT, maybe Tata gets an idea, launch Altroz GT with minor cosmetic updates and launch another 42 variants. 😅
Nooooo!
Altroz racer is the perfect hatchback in the city and outside as well 🙌
❤️
25 people liked it and none of them will buy
On an unrelated note, I'd love an episode introducing the MotorInc team. Their work is fantastic, from visuals, to music, and edits.
Thanks for asking UB! 🙏🏾
If elders shouldn't race, what is Schumi doing at race tracks multiple times a year?
As usual great banter!
Not racing! But going faasst!
@surajshanbhag you are calling him an elderly person
Man is just 50 I guess
Not too old so racing is fine
@@motorincjust like altrozz racer😅😅
@@kshitijpandey6514 he only has mentioned in his 50's which could also mean 59. On a serious note, knowing Schumi, he wouldnt want anyone who is not actually racing for a living, racing at all. His (and everyone at TWO riding school) intentions of going to tracks most times is to help others become better riders, 1 rider at a time.
@@surajshanbhagfair enough was just saying that as a joke
Shumi might not be a fan of TATA's strategy of having a million variants but it's clearly working for them. Having so many variants gives consumers the flexibility to pick and choose what they want in their car which no other manufacturers offer. When we're spending lakhs on a car I believe people don't mind taking their own time going through the feature list and comparing the variants to pick what suits them the best.
Hey VB, good to have your take. Choice is good. Too much choice is crippling. 🤷♂️
I like having other way around give me choice of features list i can add and pay for only those. Sell the car with all safety tech with just the essential and I'll decide which features i want
@@motorincespecially for dealers itself..
Tata is still missing lot of cars, No cars in A-segment. Does Nano's failure made Tata tram lethargic. Also why Tata isn't launching CUV on Tiago's platform. Just saw Suzuki's June 2024 sales 1.2 lakhs with 7 out 17 models in top 10. Tata might have only 1-3 models. Punch might be no 1 in sales. But sometimes success blind you(Tata) They need more cars instead of more variants
This video should be published on ...tv so everybody can watch it and they couldn't know the truth about highly overrated altroz#racer
At this point, Tata should just stop naming it's car variants and just introduce a "Build your own car". Feature wise pricing, add whatever you want and get the final price. 🤷🏻♂️ I don't think even the sales guy can remember all these variants.
Dear editor please make compilations of kartikeya's awesome sound effects and post it at the end of the year. 4:05, it was awesome.

Sumi woke up and chose violence 😂 roasted both Indian car buyers and companies 😅
He expects us to increase our standard but we just sit back and disagree and worship what we have
But he has experienced world class stuff in his riding career and he expects us to feel those emotions I guess
Which is why he questions our taste cuz I am pretty sure manufacturers love to lobby instead of taking the competition head on
That's why he was proud of what the new himalayan 450 which did try to be the best adv it possibly could which is why he liked it
Hope more manufacturers take on the foreign competition than lobby against it🤞🤞🤞🤞
Absolutely!
Psych exam in an hour guys, I'll be back to tell how it goes and watch this!
All the best! Keep us posted!
How was your exam?
How was it??
Ayo, how was the exam?
thanks guys ! it went phenomenal !
Great episode guys. One of the main things that I have faced as a prior Tata Nexon owner, the BS6 variant, is the fact that these cars are not reliable. I had that car for around two years and there was a coolant issue which led to the coolant getting mixed in with the engine oil and I ended up having to sell the car because of all the hassles at a much depreciated price than the actual value. For this issue, I blame the car itself and a lot more blame goes to the Tata service across the metro cities of Kolkata and Delhi for never servicing properly despite me sending the car time and again. This has just made me very very apprehensive towards newer Tata cars. The new Altroz Racer as far as I could tell from your episode is just another cosmetic upgrade whereas they need to work on their engines and reliability. All of this is just a distraction.
P.S I now drive a 2018 GT TSI 1.2 and couldn’t be happier.
Happy GT TSI-ing! ❤️
I saw the tata altroz racer in the showroom And oh boy does it look so good looking just love the car for it looks.
Indeed Glanza/Baleno are the best all rounder. K series engine that’s a love and buttery smooth. They are the king when it comes to 1.2 NA.
i20 is best when we go for Turbo variants and worth all penny.
Altroz is one which I want to love but it has niggles at engine end which is heart of any vehicle. It’s like Tank but having a rust at function level which spoils everything.
Tata needs to overcome this at earliest and I will be the first one to book and say vocal for local ❤.
Waiting…
We need shumi going for a car launch
P S :I am never going to stop commenting until this happens.
We are with you!
@@motorincEspecially Tata launch! And Ofc, he has to remember all the variants along with the pricing, some of which would not be revealed at launch :)
So many people are totally unaware of Altroz Diesel which has 90 bhp and 200 nm torque and boy oh boy it's a beast with it's perfect steering feedback and suspension setup and that lovely chassis it's so so good and I'm a proud owner of an August 2020 Tata Altroz Diesel ❤
Glad to hear that @daninwheels1006. Thanks for sharing!
Its not good to question Tata's consistency. I mean they have been rolling out consistently safe & good cars, which are consistently lacking tight QC & niggle-y, and supported by consistently bad dealership experience!😂
You almost had us there @museycal!😅
If those Tata stans could read they'd be very upset
There should be an episode on indian brands as well, like you did on japanese brands on podcast. Like how well are they doing 2W, 4W, ev and all. And where Indian automobile industry stand at global level.
Absolutely spot on with the "experience" factor of owning a Tata or any other brand. Being an owner of 4 years old grand i10 nios amt and 1 year old altroz dca, I must say I wish I had gone ahead for the i20 ivt. Hyundai just gives a hasslefree experience overall.
How's your overall experience with DCA (Specific to Gearbox)
@@KeyurGoswami it's good till now. Smooth and quick shifts, been on long drive Pune to Goa in flat highways, narrow and uneven country and hilly roads, no problem at all. And yes it's talking point is always the suspension comfort. My comparison reference is my own grand i10 nios amt. For an amt gearbox nothing can beat Hyundai.
@@Ariwin10 thanks, I have NA altroz petrol 2021 model and looking to upgrade to automatic but waiting for DCA and turbo combination. I drive from Bangalore to Ahmedabad twice year and yes suspension comfort is top notch and it’s mile muncher without any issue. But NA is slow as slug
4:16 completely agree. There are a lot of vocal Polo fans out there, but the Figo was the benchmark in terms of handling characteristics and fun to drive nature.
❤️
You are absolutely bang on right on Mumbai-Pune highway cruising around 120 kmph you'll always feel a gitter no way it's disturbing or uncomfortable but yes you'll feel it, but again it's very comfortable
Polo not being a sporty car is a great perspective! I have a Taigun GT+ with 17s and have noticed that understeer thing in a few occasions of pushing it beyond the limit. Especially with the factory Goodyear Tyres which are bad. Now I have changed to Conti UC6s and it is much better to drive but I have not pushed it beyond 10/10ths yet. Also the fuel economy has dropped by 7-10%. The more I drive this car, the more I realise it is more of an awesome GT than a sporty car. So according to you, how has the chassis balance changed from Polo/Vento to Taigun/Virtus? In terms of understeery nature etc? Would love to know your thoughts!
Also, what would be the best sporty car below a BMW 3 Series? Or let’s say under 50 lakhs? Just the driving dynamics without considering anything else? It seems to be a dying breed! Also it’d be interesting to know what are such options we used to have that are not present anymore! Maybe we can chat in the comments or would love to see a complete podcast on this topic!
This engine should have been the one when the car was launched, given the beautiful platform it is built on.
So true RS!
First comment here. We've had our iturbo for a couple of years now. Wife and I love it to bits. It's a joy to drive out on open and twisty roads. When this racer came out i was a bit relieved that the the mechanical upgrades were only slight. It killed the fomo I had since the racer was announced last year.
I felt this review was slightly lacking - I'd have liked it if karthikeya touched upon the updated ice system, whether or not the ventilated seats do their job well, sunroof functionality - these are new to the altroz after all. Lacks a comprehensive interior review in general. Usually the 'first' series addresses these.
Thank you for the feedback @Rururay. We'll hopefully get to test it for longer and if we do, we'll address the common questions there too.
If you like Tata Altroz Racer and holding back due to the way it looks, just take it to a reputed detailing studio after delivery and get the bonnet wrapped in body colour shade. Not sure about Orange but the White and Grey wraps are easily available.
😆👍🏽👍🏽
I like the oversized tees that @Kartikeya wears in many of these podcasts.. Where can I get those ?

You guys seem to really enjoy the Baleno. Can you please discuss that car in detail too? Perhaps covering the older generations too
Another MotorInc video morning! Good Morning 🏍️
Morning Sreejat!
Exactly... Very well said about the sport variant from any brand...
The best way is done by Hyundai because the normal i20,Creta and i20 N-line and Creta N-line feel like different cars and drive like what it was meant to be the Hot hatchback...
Yep! It’s legit sportier.
My Grande Punto still sets the bar high in driving dynamics and very engaging irrespective of road conditions.
Why doesn't the Abarth Punto ever come into conversations of used, cheap(ish) hatches to buy? Its always the Polo GT TSI. You don't even need to work a lot on the suspension unless you're looking for an autocross build, because it is a fair bit stiffer than the regular Puntos. The chassis was always great, and it comes with the T-Jet engine in its highest state of factory tune. The only drawback is the skinny tyres.
100
Same issue as the Polo. Average chassis, average suspension but decent drivetrain.
The issue with it was the weight. And it was still a bit tall. These affected handling and performance. It could have been so much more.
When I saw the Altroz Racer's ad on Instagram for the first time, I was excited - finally a hot-hatch! It was full of beautiful images, that I realized were heavily edited / AI generated. Then I read the caption. They'd highlighted the paintjob, sunroof, comfort, infotainment screen, and whatnot. No words about the suspension, no 0-100, no performance data. No substance, all gimmick. C****ya samajh rakha hai in logon ne customers ko -_-
Go faster looking. That’s top priority.
Sadly that's what we have come to in India. People love the gimmicks more than what's underneath your butt. That's why no hot hatch is on sale today except one. Punto Abarth, Polo GT TSI, Baleno RS, Tiago JTP - they all died because they offered substance and less/no gimmicks. At the end of the day you need numbers.
Citreon C3 turbo available now@@MikBan
Figo / Freestyle tdci diesels are relatively tougher to find in used market nowadays, seems after Ford left India, people started taking them more seriously.
😔
I think ford didn't take India seriously. And the nail in the Coffin is the Sanand plant and the Ford Mahindra partnership didn't happen.
@@sauravkr2011 that's true. Ford had very few cars in the portfolio. Although they were good, They lost their perceived value & weren't considered during the buying process.
Whereas frequent latest launches that other companies made eg Kia, Maruti, Tata, Hyundai etc. stole the show.
Shumi is the real life version of the phrase“setting cat among pigeons”. Though I find his views of safety very irksome but mad props and respect where its due, calling spade a spade in these time where auto companies will shadow-ban you for even looking at them wrong.
Thank you for the backhanded compliment @RangerV8!😅
On quality, when I was looking to buy my first motorcycle in 2007, I was thinking between Pulsar/Discover v/s Unicorn/Achiever/CBZ Extreme. I got some very sane advice from a senior who told me - Go for a HeroHonda/Honda, because on day-1 Bajaj will ride as well or better than HH/Honda, but after 3 years of use, HH/Honda expereience will be 85% of day-1 while Bajaj will be 60% because of niggles. Same thing with Tata/Mahindra v/s Suzuki/Hyundai
Sorry are Tata/Mahindra supposed to Honda or Bajaj in this parallel @saligramvishwanath1?
@@motorinc :) I mean Tata/Mahindra to be Bajaj in terms of quality and reliability
Bajaj has come a long way in last 15 years and proved their ability to develop good vehicles, but in 2007-08 they were still going through the transition
You both are rockstars. Thanks for this channel

Honda transalp 750
Will you guyz cover these bikes since it has been a long time these bikes launched in India🤷
Even I am waiting for honda NX500 review for so so long😢
Waiting for the boys to cover the big bikes
Great observations for how Indian brands can be successful and how important this is as we have all the logistics to export our made in india products. I think it will be hard for any brand to scale down the number of variants as this will have impact during servicing and reselling the car. Tata should hire Shumi as a product marketing consultant
All they have to do is ask. We just want better machines.
The intro is 🔥 as always, i always listen to it twice 😂
See when tata had launched their JTP s no had brought that . We had lost a diamond in search of gold. As a tata motors fan they should improve their consistency and QC for their passenger vehicle industry survival. We all love TATA and Mahindra.😊😊😊
I turbo+ with DCA minus the flashy cosmetic bits is a better choice, now my question is should I wait for this variant or buy a fronx turbo AT?🤔
Absolutely brilliant video. Loved the conversation. The summary is brilliant😂
Thanks for joining us @elijahnissi.
As an owner of Altroz naturally exasperated petrol and having done 54k km till now, I can say that the strong points of the car are excellent handling, great ride quality on high ways, good brakes and good steering feedback. The biggest problems are the stupid clutch with the bite so high that it is akin to plucking dates from a palm tree and that notchy long throw gear lever. Engine although less powerful and unrefined, but its not that bad as it is made to look by this combination of gear lever and clutch. As long as u are driving a sedate pace or unhurriedly this is a nice and comfortable experience. The moment pace picks up it becomes difficult to time the clutch release properly and the notchy gearbox takes forever to shift, at times even refuses to shift and u can never maintain the revs leading to a very jerky ride. With the racer I expected them to work on the usable clutch bite range and the gearbox and from the looks of it, that has not been the case. 0-100 timings doesnt matter, I was looking for a car which is easier to drive when the pace picks up. Unless they work on the clutch and gearbox, there is nothing that excites me in this car. And the cherry on top is the Balaji ka tilak 😂.
Heya B! Spot on - the clutch still bites high up. But you don’t have to make as many gear changes in this. So, it didn’t feel as annoying. Thanks for your report on the car.
I know it was a typo, but 'naturally exasperated' might just describe the Tata buyers' state of mind after they get their vehicle :P
@@freudiansnipad4301 😀
Who is gearbox supplier of Tata motors same jerky clutch operation with notchy gear changes is found in Tata Nexon which is quite disappointing while driving it in hills
@@freudiansnipad4301 that's for the online guys who have always panned Tata's engine. Believe me the ownership is smooth if you can overlook the idiosyncrasies. No major issue as such and definitely not unreliable as it is made to be in the online forums. Our altroz had small rattles on day 1 and they have remained the same in intensity in the last 4 years and 54k km later. However our Swift Vxi petrol was smooth as butter when new but now after 80k and 6 yrs later, I don't even need a horn. The whole car rattles. The suspension as well as the body panel rattles so much that it is difficult to pinpoint the source of the rattle and roof has a dent because an uncle in a family function thought it wise to lean on our car roof when he was dishing out his opinion about the function😢
Either Tata's conversion system is faulty or they just boost the economy numbers. My Tiago xza-petrol shows economy of 16km/pl in the city and 21 km/pl out on the highway, but it actually delivers 11-12 km/pl in the city and 17-18km/pl on the highway.
Question : would the stripes affect lane keep assist on SUVs following the racer?
That’s a good question. We hope not!
Shumi asking the question at the begining is it new and karthik's expression was really every tata owners reaction. And i love it when these 2 talk. People see the humor and without knowing listeners are taught on every podacst. They are the teachers we need.😂
I am one of those who own the Alteoz i-Turbo. The sole reason to purchase was that Polo was getting discontinued and i20 N-Line only had an automatic transmission and JTPs were already gone. Worst thing about my car I feel is the gearbox which I hope has improved with the 6-speed as the 5 speed is bad. Still love my car though and for me it’s best in the world. Thanks MotorInc
Appreciate the work guys ! Love your content ❤
🙏🏾 Thanks RM!
The rainforest challenge comment does make one think. If not for the SUV craze in the market, Tata could have done such a great crossover. This is such a Subaru thing.

N Line representation!
Good point about them focusing more on the chassis and handling, which is very apparent when you drive one.
Also, huge props to Hyundai for keeping the enthusiast car segment alive for the common folk!
Hullo NN! How long have you had it?
@@motorinc Completed 7 months now.
The sporty hatch I could count on was the Abarth Punto. It was simply too good. Polo GT may come next after the aftermarket suspension of course. TATA has to either bring in back the JTP variant as this feels a Little too normal for a Racer Tag. Agreeing to the point that TATA isn't consistent enough.
Hullo! Have you spent time with the little scorpion?
@@motorinc Yup! And it was fantastic. I still get goosebumps when I think of it. Really wish it was made available again.
Damn this was unexpected. I was holding by decision to book Racer for this episode and I am glad I did.
You forgot about blind view monitoring . This is the cheapest car with ventilated seat and blind view monitoring system. Also 120 ps at 12 lakhs and 11sec 0-100 is almost as good as slavia or virtus 1 .0 at their base price with good mileage. If this has tall seating even being a hatch back what would you comment on germans tall seating. I am not tata fan boy.
Thanks for pointing it out! Appreciate it EB!
The i20 N line has the same 120ps from a much more refined engine and a very nice shifting manual gearbox for the same price. I’m not sure why anyone would pick the Altroz racer over that thing. Also the N line has a sub 10 second 0-100
@@srikarvundavalli5934 weight difference is the issue. Altroz will has scored 5 star and i20 i guess isn't even 3 star
Altroz Racer or fronx turbo which is a better balanced purchase , I would think fronx turbo as racer isn't racer enough.
I was a former fanboy of Tata. Desh ki mitti, desh ka namak . With inflated pride and acidity I bought a tata vehicle. The sales team was amazing. When the time came for servicing, with every service of the vehicle I could see degradation in how the vehicle drove, how it handled , reduced fuel efficiency etc. Strangely just a day after the expiration of the extended warranty, TASS told me the front suspension needs replacement, steering rack is damaged etc.
Changed above stuff. Don't drive the car now.
Got old maruti zen , it laughs at me every day. Bloody fanboy😂
Oh wow this was a rollercoaster of a read @aniketvaidya628. We'd suggest that you drive it intermittently though because parked cars can actually lead to more problems.
Where do you get your shirts from dude looks cool
Totally agreed, one of my frnd has previous petrol variant, performance is not great, in highways, it struggles to overtake.
Also tata cars, i felt breaking performance is also not good.....my insight is from driving harrier, punch and altroz.
Thanks for sharing that with us JM!

I thought shumi would call it Altrozev not Altroz E V😅😅😂😂
😁
I totally agree with Karthik. I bought the Altroz when it was lauched (2020). I was really excited to buy it. But, when I drove it, it was quite the disapointment. Some things right, some things wrong (mainly engine). I had to adjust myself for it to make sense as a buying option. My dad thought it was good, and not too much an issue. So we bought it. But, I still love the car with all its downsides. I do enjoy driving it.
The last car that I enjoyed driving was the polo before that. Altroz is as good or slightly better than polo's handling. Never felt that I lose control over the car at whatever speed I go. I have touched 170 which is where the limiter is I guess becase the throttle didnt do much after that. It was just a one time thing, I know shumi is gonna yell at me for that 😅.
I wished for altroz to have nexon's engine way back in 2020 and it has become the reality now.
Hey VS! Thanks for sharing that with us! Which engine?
@@motorinc Its the 3 cylinder NA engine. I knew the i20 was gonna launch its new model. But, couldnt wait that long coz I waited too long for altroz to launch.
Rather than working on launching new cars Tata should work on their engines and electronics for 1 year and they can take over the market. They are curving everything but not curving the engine manufacturing trajectory.
Rating this a five star😊. I just love the way schumi describes his points and shows his disappointment.
Some may think of it as being over-critical but we need more people like him in the automotive journalism where there is an absolute lack of criticism for any car.
We need more Schumis - seriously.
Kartikey just complements the show as that base key board player in a band whose work is core to the band but it’s not over the top like the lead singer or say the - guitarist 😊
Kudos to both of you.
Thank you for joining us @soumyapune.
@18.40 when shumi said stick your head out of sunroof, Just imagine & google and person driving a tank & looking out of the hatch, you will instantly imagine what it will look in car.🤣🤣
😆
Figo & Ford in general are arguably the best handlers int wh world!! We have one 1.4 TDCi from 2012 & it handles sooooooo well!!😌😌
About the suspension:
I own i-Turbo for the past two and a half years and I do not understand the need to tune it further. Cause, the suspension is clearly mature and very stable at good speeds.
I have no experience with i20 (n-line or regular), all the talks about the suspension tunes for the n-line and how it gives better stability than the non n-line, clearly states that i20 regualr is not fairly stable at good speeds.
But, cutrent Altroz lineup is very stable. Maybe Altroz, didnt need a suspension tune or chage. Even if they did, it would make very samll difference with the existing Altroz lineup.
What your thoughts on this?
@@AmP_BYD i own the regular i20 and have test driven the nline many times and altroz, the normal i20 has a softer suspension compared to the nline, the dampers are stiffer on nline. This doesnt mean the normal i20 is unstable, its just more comfortable and has more body roll. While the nline handled superb at speeds through corners, the car stays more flat and doesn’t nose dive under breaking, doesn’t understeer like the polo does and rear is stable unlike the altroz. Ive lowered my normal i20 on cobra and it’s drastically improved the handle. Its on par with the stock nline now but nline with cobra suspension is just better, the stiffer damper help a lot. Yes its a lot uncomfortable but for a driving enthusiasts it doesnt matter. The nline is better than any other hatchback sold under 15laks in india.
It would be fun to have both together to see what happens.
i am in the market for the same class of cars what do you suggest me i20nline n6 manual or altroz racer??
yes i will be looking out for test drive but whats your suggestion where should i lean my self according to your suggestion
Envious! N Line please. Let us know once you have driven both?
I purchased the tata tiago last year, it doesnt get driven a lot (8000km till now) major problem i am facing car gives mileage of 12-13kmpl the tata service people say nothing is wrong with the car (I am yet to take it out to a 3rd party mechanic) and there are two small problems in the software sometimes when i start the car the sound system starts and works but the screen doesnt it gets resolved by a restart and once the reverse sensors stopped working with a warning on screen saying take it to the service center which again got resolved by a restart. Finally another small issue the air pump they give us with it complimentary it stopped working after the first use. I believe all of these issues are small issues but they do add up to an inconvenient experience except for the mileage because oh my god i am a student and that car drinks petrol like a college student drinks OMR.
Hey Karthikeya, what would be your opinion on the Abarth Punto as an enthusiast car? Looking to get a used one.
I knew something was off when I saw the poster with that face of @kartiksinghee sir. Now the video confirms it.
Any idea about when the Altroz "Racer" would be getting the DCA transmission?
Not yet. But they can since they have with the Nexon.
Still room
for improvement in R&D sector of Tata, to feel it's presence in Indian road in coming days
Definitely!
Listening to this I really feel bad that most of hatchbacks are phasing out or have poor sales.
I am big fan of hot hatches. I badly miss the chance to own & drive Polo GTs(Both TSI & TDI), Figos. I got a used 90HP Punto and what a car that is. I have to for almoat 4 years now and thoroughly enjoy it.
One more point I would highlight is slow phasing out of diesel cars. Turbo petrol may be as efficient or even more, but ample low down torque of diesel is unbeatable.
Tata Altroz BEN 10 Omnitrix Edition ⌚⌚
Please explain! 😆
@@motorinc the atomic orange dual tone color scheme of the altroz racer looks kinda similar to the color scheme of the Ben 10 alien force watch known as Omnitrix 😅
@@kabyamtalukdar3066I misread it dominatri x
😁
27:05 just an exception where tata turned around dud aria into fantastic Hexa although it didn't sell that well
👍🏽 Have you driven both?
@@motorinc Actually none...but whatever I have heard and read about it.... Btw what's your take?
Honestly I am not a suv guy, but for the pathetic roads in bangalore I would like the higherish ground clearance and plush suspension, so I was looking forward to this car. I rode i20 nline with 5 seated. My family felt a bit firm and felt paying almost 16lac on road was a stretch. Although I love it , I have to respect my family's wishes. Now adding to my confusion is should I wait for a sensible altroz variant or buy fronx turbo , and if I am waiting should I wait a bit longer for the skoda sub 4m car. My dad keeping checking with me every month if that's launched yet. So many choices😂😂
Why cant manufacturers sells cars with the basic requirements and the features as a option list, where we can choose what we want?
That’s a must now.
A made to order with just the components you want would be a dream....and most people would willingly wait for some time before taking delivery.
All extra features are basically plug and play/slot in components.....so it's really a mystery that companies do not offer a "make your own car" option on their web site.
But then it's not just an issue with India.......afaik no one in the world gives the customer the option of "make your own car"....other than the super luxury segment.
The IAF prefers Mirage and Rafale over apna LCA, and the Indian Army is finally getting the Kalashnikov AK 62 it's been demanding. How unpatriotic!!!
Hahaha
And They are marketing it as India’s first sports car 😂
It gives me some solace to see that in this sea of SUVs there is still hope for a good hatchback. Maybe one day we will get our own proper hot-hatch! Not just yet
🤞🏾
A video on different types of Turbo engines ? Just like how Suzuki's 1.2L 4 cylinder NA engine is different as compare to Hyundai's 1.2L 4C. There are few different names out there. VW's TSI , Suzuki's Boosterjet , Mahindra 3xo's TCMPFi & TGDI & so so. Because most of the people think car companies just add a turbo in their engines. But I think in reality it's more than that.
Love the intro as always❤
Thank you Krishnendu.
Eagerly Waiting for detailed talk on Bajaj CNG Freedom

Every video of MotorInc are like therapy for motor heads
I own a Figo and I can't get my head around why it failed. We need an episode on why India doesn't like "good" cars
Are you listening @motorinc? Fiat Linea, Cruze, Figo, and so many were there
@@trideep220280 rear seat experience ruined the sales.
I think the rear seat experience in the Figo was simply unacceptable. I've had the pleasure of renting it quite a few times for trips, and everytime I got to the backseat, it felt like those were there just because they needed to be there. No bottle holders, vents, space. Definitely wasn't the all rounder that the Indian market values.
@@anishkancharla9675the cruze had good reason to not be successful. It looked and went better than most, but the quality and reliability definitely played a part in its demise.
And the Linea failing makes less sense, until you look inside it. It was spartan at best, and the Verna and City were far better in terms of creature comforts, and that feel good factor.
@@anishkancharla9675Cruze was a terrible car
Hey guys! Been waiting for an Altroz episode for a long time now as I purchased the previous iturbo last year.
In the time I’ve spent with it, I found it’s a beautifully handling car, in fact surprisingly so I’ve you’ve ever driven the Punch or the Nexon. The NA engine felt absolutely gutless, the turbo allows for a little more enthusiastic driving but it only fills in for a deficiency in performance rather than adding a surge of power.
I’m wondering how big the delta is between the performance of the iturbo and the iturbo+. Would it be worth it to explore an ECU retune to match that 10BHP gain or let it be as it is?
Not enough for your to FOMO! Enjoy your Altroz MD!
On the contrary, Narain Kartikeyan has the opposite view on the Tata altroz racer, he seems excited with engine, handling and specially direct steering controls, which he tested om race track. 2nd best is I10 N line.
Can you also check it performance on the race track too.😊
Hi Sachin, do you know who was Narain’s sponsor? 😆
If the put Shumi's statistics on this short, they are both on opposite side, Shumi is sitting on the right side
Kartik be like : Wha ya tryinaa say, what ya trynaa say brothaa
Sumi : What I'm asking is ' didn't you joined the revolt'?
Hi Team, I had one question which I wanted to ask and also your opinion if that's ok. Why don't Mahindra and TATA join hand? Mahindra will get products like altroz and Tiago and TATA will have their Engine + Transmission. Just a thought
came for I don't know why?
Stayed for the puns 😂
Had pun?
Is it only me or did anyone else see the driver side strip is not in middle but closer to the other strip especially in that orange colour. But still nice content 👍
Oh no!
We are still not able to listen to the video on RUclips after locking the screen despite having RUclips Premium as well as the All Access membership :(
Hello Wilson, this is a know issue with RUclips. Please try and update your app and see if it works.
Haha I’ve got the same problem seems like a RUclips issue
We have Updated App but don't seem to work 😅@@motorinc
Sorry to hear that. We have heard from some users that the newer version fixed that.
Batata is thing which Shumi suggested Jawa to do right ??
How would he feel about 4 engines with different tuning on same chasis
That suggestion was specific to Jawa @kshitijpandey6514 because looking at the bikes' appearances, you'd think they'd all ride differently but the engine tuning is the same on all of them. It isn't applicable universally!
@@motorincah ok thanks for clearing that up
After using Nexon for 3 years now im already inclined towards buying a foriegn brand as my next vehicle. So im looking for a new bike and im like i cant go for Indian brand again, i want a superior quality product. No compromises! No RE, no Hero!
Please make a video on Xiaomi SU7 and your thoughts on the future in India.
Hi @shreeharimenon5275, we believe currently it's just a showcase. If Xiaomi decides to launch it in India, we'll share our thoughts once we get to drive it.
I think we deserve a proper comparison between alteros reserve and i20 DCT
IMHO, Tata makes great looking cars/SUVs. It's a shame, the driving dynamics don't go hand in hand with the packaging.
Heya Rupin, do you have one?
@@motorinc almost bought the updated Harrier. Gurgaon roads, speed bumps, potholes, the usual story. waiting for the Curvv-e 🤞
