As someone who does editing, this trailer was edited to perfection. Super intense and gets you hyped for the movie, this is how trailers suppose to be done. Yes, it showed a bit more than I wanted but I can't lie this trailer is a certfied banger and I can't wait to see this movie. As someone who seen every single Alien film including AvP movies, I am excited about this. Even Ridley Scott said it himself that this film is something special and we know how harsh of a critic Ridley Scott can be of his own projects being directed by other directors, but I think after Blade Runner 2049 (Which was even better than the original film for me) Ridley is more confident to see other people adapt something of his work. Fede Alvarez is a right horror director for this, like Robert Eggers is the right director for Nosferatu or Oz Perkins, who is the right director for Longlegs. Each of these directors is really good at making horror films, but in they own way and all of them are more than capable to get your ass in the theatre. I am eagerly anticipating other projects these gentlemen will release in the future. Oh, how could I forget Jordan Peele, Ari Aster and Mike Flanagan who are also some of the best horror directors we have right now.
This trailer reminds me a lot of Alien Isolation, the Alien themed game from a few years back. Which was also heart pounding and takes place mostly on a space station.
Álvarez actually took a lot of inspo from the game too! He’s played it and owns the book about the art of the game. He even included the “save” stations in the ship
Im mainly wondering if the Romulus Space Station was a bredding facility for the xenomorph, and if the reason the facehuggers are jumping out of some kind of capsule like an incubator or something is a tie-back to Alien Covenant when David regurgatated the facehuggr in some sort of egg to put in the drawer.
You MUST know that I just recently saw this trailer in the theater attached to Deadpool Wolverine....and Dayum.. That's a trailer for you and worthy of its Alien Heritage. There mother of all space horror. I got the feels, and I want more, mission accomplished
I swear whoever is cutting the trailers for this movie is operating on an entirely different plane of existence from the rest of us. They have been SO good. I still don't know if I'll be able to handle watching it (I'm a huge wimp!) but I'm so stoked for the franchise. I agree with y'all that I hope this is the Prey of the Alien franchise. Fede Alvarez looks like he's doing a stealth Alien Isolation adaptation and he's out to scare everyone to death 😂💀
About “Alien: Earth” you mentioned: Described as the first-ever Alien story set on Earth, Alien: Earth is set before the events of Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic Alien. It will adhere to the retro-futuristic look of that film. Moreover Prometheus and Alien Covenant will not influence the show. 😉👌🏻

On top of the horror/sci-fi aspects it's interesting to consider the lore and context given that we know this to be between ALIEN and ALIENS. I've been impressed with the chats that I've seen with Fede - he seems to have a favourite sandbox, but he's enthusiastic and seems to know what he's doing.
@HeroesReforged Adam, Fede Alvarez confirmed on his Twitter back then that EVIL DEAD (2013) was indeed a direct sequel to the original film. Ash's car is even rusted away in front of the cabin. It wasn't a remake.
We need this. Alien 3 is awful. Alien: Resurrection is hot garbage. Prometheus should be a standalone human origin story without anything Alien related. Covenant was just a desperate attempt from Ridley to fix his problem with Prometheus. IMO, Romulus will be the true and proper third installment. Now, if we could just get someone to save the Terminator franchise!
They actually used a lot of practical effects for this movie. Been watching the special feature videos. A lot of the alien's are puppets or suits and a lot of scene's where there was falling had the actors in harnesses so Its not all CG. :)
I’m so excited to see Archie Renaux in such a big movie. The first two Alien’s scared me to death so I don’t know if I can force myself to watch this one 😂

I think is going to be the 3rd best Alien movie. I hope they left out some great deaths for the screen, because I believe the chest burst scene is the one they said is brutal and they just showed the majority of it.

I once saw a short snippet of Alien, don't know exactly what it was, but I know it scarred me. Haven't seen anything Alien related since. The teaser looked interesting, now I see this and I'm like: Nope..., nope, hard pass.
I gotta be honest, I hated this trailer, really regretted watching it. They show the deaths of at least half the cast, we saw way too much. I can only hope these scenes are just the setup and there's more to the movie in the back half were not seeing.
This trailer gives off major Dead Space vibes in the good ways, this trailer was crazy. I cannot wait to be scared to death in the theatre!
