What Is Flageolet?

This exercise CHANGED my voice!
Flageolet is basically a really small, high and squeaky head voice.
To access that part of your voice sing as high as you possibly can at a REALLY low volume… like you’re barely making any sound!
Now why would you want to squeak like that?!
OMG there are so many benefits!!
🔥 It helps you expand your range
🔥 It helps gain more control over your volume
🔥 It helps bring more balance into your sing by thinning out the voice
And just overall that stretch can feel so nice on your voice if you’re a heavy singer like me!
If you’re someone who gets tired quickly, has a heavy voice and just in general struggles with tension then please give this exercise a try!
Practice it daily for the next 3-4 weeks and you’ll feel how your voice is starting to get lighter and your stamina improved!

Flageolet is fantastic. I got stuck in the habit of bringing it to the bottom of my range, but if you slowly push it to the top and keep it squeaky, it really transforms everything about your voice. It's how I instinctively learn to sing and increase my range, but I thought it was wrong. Spend years going down the falsetto rabbit hole which went nowhere. Flageolet is truly the brass ring and the keys to the kingdom.
