Yes, there's more detail, more cars and everything is better in Motorfest overall, but I would choose TDU 2 map if I had a choice. I know that map has less detail but I loved driving around the map for a very long time compared to Motorfest. I love exploring new places and felt so small in a big world compared to Motorfest.
you are right. one standout feature of the crew 2 was endless discovery. I have about 200 hours in TC2 and I am still finding new routes, places. I only played the open beta and I can already recognize all the locations of the map. TCM wanted to be FH5 so bad, it lost the one thing it was doing great, exploration in big maps.
Motorfest is obviously the more realistic and better looking map but something about tdu 2 just makes it seem so alive. Every area feels distinguishable and different. Probably has something to do with the scaling but ye it really takes me away man
The Crew actually looks really good compared to TDU 2, though that doesn't mean TDU 2 is ugly. I think the only main thing is just tunnels and stuff in Motorfest don't look good, but apart from that. I also wish Oahu was just as big in Motorfest as it was in TDU. However I guess if being the size that it is means it's more polished and handcrafted, I'm okay with that. The Crew 2 was huge, but everything looked and felt the same everywhere. Road textures, landscapes, skies, no city felt different from any other. Same thing with both TDU 1 and 2. Everything was almost the same everywhere, including roads and decorations, so I don't fully understand why so many feel TDU looks miles better, unless it's just because of the lighting.
Shame they made the road lanes twice as wide as they should be in motorfest as it takes the fun away (in my opinion). Definitely a design decision to make it more accessible for everyone to drive flat out everywhere without consequences Willy nilly.
@@user-xr2bo6ic1d well, while the map in TCM is good, it is too small for a crew game. The only thing that kept me coming back to TC2 was exploration of the huge map of USA. The only thing that pulls me back into FH5 is driving mechanics. TCM has neither of those and tries to be jack of all trades but fails in almost every way with having small map, servisable handling and no immersion. Gone are traffic and people on streets in cities.
Watching TDU makes me want to go there now and drive around. Watching TCM makes me wish that TCM Oahu was more like TDU. Oahu in TCM looks absolutely incredible but sadly the scale is a HUGE turn off
The map in the crew looks fantastic i love it, BUT the roads are way too wide and im not sure but the asphalt seems in perfect state and i don't think they should look like that.
@@Ander285 Studios tend to make really good games sometimes, but the publishers in charge of them are often really scummy. I would prefer to buy a game to financially support a studio/developers without any of those funds going to the publisher. I haven't bought a game from Ubisoft or Activision Blizzard in a very long time. Because why should I support a company that has such terrible work ethics and motives for their video games? And the fact everyone buys their stuff no matter how bad these companies are, are the exact reason _why_ they are as bad as they are. i think the island looks better in the crew motorfest, even the offroad areas look more detailed compared to when they did it last time in tdu2. my favorite part was the barbers point harbor
forza is better in every way i played motorfest and everything in it is frustrating from the progression too the stupid multiplayer too the driving that is just random
I get a warm fuzzy feeling watching the TDU2 gameplay, I used to play it like crazy, miss those times...
Same here.. my favorite racing game
Nota bene: in the 2011 game the mirrors work, but in the 2023 game with super-duper next-gen graphics - doesn't. It's funny, isn't it?
Deferred rendering works differently :)

the driving sucks in motorfest

TDU2: realistic
Motorfest: Festival style
Also TDU2 is from 2011 and made for PS3/360
derosiflo so beautiful

That's a perfect comparison I feel both are very similar despite the years
Imagine TDU2's map with TCM graphics. I'll buy it immediately.
I actually think devs made pretty god job on a map
isn't both game on same map but with different scaling?

TDU 1 is much better than TDU 2 though lol TDU 2 had major issues with its physics unless you were offroad.
1:37 oh guess what? there's the cathedral that has been there in TDU1/2, surprisingly present in TCM!
if you look at the map from outside:real,tdu2,the crew you can notice that the motorfest one has a strange shape in the North side

Still prefer TDU vibe as Motorfest.
TDU 1 is the real deal
I like both.
Two places that I want to visit personally are Hawaii and Japan
Motorfest looks like every game today
Ivory Tower did a good job but I wish I could get the game and support Ivory without supporting Ubisoft.
What?

test drive unlimited 2 is best alternative the crew motorfest/3 😉😉
Very good vid man
I just wish they went with a 1:1 scale Oahu like TDU1 and TDU2. Also are you playing TDU2 without updates? The sounds are all pre-patch.
Anyone else's ears really irritated by the high-pitched turbo sound on the two Mercedes cars in the Motorfest clips?
Amazing idea !
Thank you 🙌
so true tbh
Very cool video theboss gaming
Thank you 🙌
Eden Island would be a cool but also sad comparison
Tdu is 1:1 but motorfest is not
You can compare this with Yakuza 8 as well when it comes out in January
Also is the footage on Motorfest color graded? Esp at 2:08
Nop.. its not 🙂
he is using high camera angle for tdu making it look ds game. thats unfare.

Nahhh
not really, but it is bigger tho, so you two options: either drive in a 1:1 scale or drive in a super polished environment
