I just got my pt01.i did a little more than half of the installation and then I drove 1hr and 20 min to jesse deans shop and he helped me with the start stop button and target light.i finished mine and it had a hum and I also found the problem.Lucky to live in L.A.Jesse Dean is smart talented a genius of a man.and became friends with him.i dumped like over 600dlls and I built me 2 pt01.with every thing.so now I will be advertising installation my self.i bought 2 pt01 in superb shape with a raiden mini mixer and a coffin.150 us dollars street price. But gas at 5 dls a gallon killed me
I had to drive to buy everything and for Jesse to show me 2 things.Expensive but WORTH IT.IM SO HAPPY.THANK U JESSE DEAN

What did you do to solve the problem with the hum sound?

    • @oldstyleanalog6459

@@yanezjoseph84 hey sorry for late reply.it was the ground wires touching stuff..check all ur wires.if u need to use shrink tube to seal ur wires.and if u solder make sure u splice a very small piece.im good with soldering so I got lucky.others burn their stuff.ISOLATE ANY GROUND U HAVE.JESSE DEAN WILL MODIFY A SOUND PREAMP SO UR OG SPEAKERS SOUND LOUDER.I DID THAT WITH JIM.HIS WORKER.THESE DUDES ARE FUCKING COOL NICE GUYS.AND THEIR PRICES ARE UNBEATABLE.THE BEST THING IF UR IN SO CAL DRIVE UP TO HIS SHOP.I LIVE 1 HR AND 20 MIN FROM HIM.WE ARE BASICALLY FRIENDS NOW.BUT KEEP IN MIND THESE GUYS ARE BUSY AND I MEAN BUSY.Jesse is doing some fabrication on remote control cars and motors servos and so on.Genius dude.love that man.hit him up.And tell him Jose from L.A. recommended u to talk to him about everything I told you.good luck man

Practice soldering on old circuits ..that's how I learned

I started soldering as a kid it was like playng :) it seems so simple that i can’t believe for some people is a mission impossibile. As someone said practice on old circuits/cables trash before attempt to modify good products. Quality iron solder and tin is highly required especially if u’re not skilled.

Hey Mojaxx.ur turntable ain't junk.all u need is a 2 dl part for ur so called burned turntable.I don't know how bad u fried the board with the soldering iron but if it'd not bad it can be repaired.Jesse Dean fixed mine. his worker connected the wrong power supply and burned it.but jesse had the right part and in 3 min we were back in action.Jesse does wonders.call him if u didn't fry ur board that bad

I've been DJing with a cheap Numark mixtrack for about a year and I want to get into vinyl and scratching as I love old school hip hop, would a pt01 be a good place to start or should I save up for 2 proper decks and a mixer? Any help is much appreciated!

That's completely up to you. I personally started skratching with the PT01S. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than getting two 1200s and a mixer. The portability alone is a major selling point, as you can practice anywhere with a wall outlet. If you mod it, you can add a battery inside and really practice ANYWHERE.

I agree it’s a perfect way to mess about with scratching and see if it’s for you. I don’t really recommend any budget full-size turntables, and so getting those is a big investment. And there’s no reason you can’t learn most techniques on a portable and then transfer those to regular tables later.

TTW have started stocking the circuitry innards of the PT01 on their spare parts list. So as much as you could end up mucking things up modifying your turntable, their spare parts stock may well end up saving your bacon and is really worth knowing. Particularly where costs are involved. Http://TTW.bigcartel.com
