The demon warrior still held the bridge. - Goemon Ishikawa is basically Japanese Robin Hood, steal from the rich, give to the poor. He was caught and was boiled alive with his family in a giant pot as punishment, some say he held up his son above his head to save him or drowned him quickly and held his body up in defiance to his captors. The plot of Alien Challenge (which shows up if you let the attract mode run) is in broken English so I can't say for certain, but the idea seems to be that the eight characters are "gods" who "annoyed" the rulers of the "Celestial World" and were expelled to "discipline themselves" in the human world. I'm pretty sure "Alien" is either a bad translation of "Celestial" or (more likely) was chosen to sound cooler. Also the bald dude is literally Wong Fei-hung (the kung-fu folk hero that Jet Li played in the "Once Upon a Time in China" movies) and the woman in pink armor is literally Hua Mulan, who as we all know defeated the Huns with the power of her boobs.
If you need the Fairy Tail deep lore: Lucy Heartfilia is a summoner who uses "celestial keys" to summon celestial spirits (aka sexy cow man Taurus and horse archer guy Sagittaurius) from a celestial plane of existence. She seeks out these keys to collect and add to her arsenal, either as items to buy or rewards to collect, and each have their own distinct personalities and relationships with Lucy. She's pretty much just a normal girl otherwise. And that's your Fairy Tail deep lore of the decade.

As a massive Fairy Tail fan: - Lucy Heartfillia, the main girl of the series (One of Cherami Leigh's biggest character's that isn't Sword Art's Asuna, Cyberpunk's V or SF6's Manon). - She's a Summoner type, which means she has a contract with certain spirits, and fight for her like Pokémon' Digimon or Yu-Gi-Oh!. The biggest ones are the ones based on the Horoscope. Seen in the game, Sagittarius (Archer in horse costume) Taurus (Cow man, who's always playfully hitting on Lucy in someway). - Besides that Lucy as a "Fleuve d'étoiles" whip, from celestial world, and can extend and has magical energy capabilities. - Lastly, she has her signature "Lucy kick!", which is just a normal kick used as a recurring joke, but it gets the job done. Not gonna go on too much because it's not that necessary, and I could keep going if not stopped.

I don't really have any interest. It was funfded by a shitty publisher I don't wanna advertise.
@@flophouseplaysWhich one? At this point there are so many shitty publishers that you need to specify now XD

Did anyone notice the background music in the Chinese martial artist stage is from or based on the theme from Once upon a time in China and the character is based on that movie.
Inuyasha did get sequel series recently.
13:50 Big bang of Claire from Ehrgeiz 😂
a complicated genesis of transformation is my second-favorite coheed and cambria album
I actually downloaded and ironically enjoy Blandia in spite of its slightly primitive clunkiness. The repeat music tracks are a bit off putting but i legit dig the sprites, throw animations and uh....dialogue. Big props to actually completing it in this silly sweet compilation.
32:04 yeah, I'll never use druos, thanks Williams
Someone needs to make a english translation for sunday vs magazine cause the game looks dope and its surprising to see Getbackers and Project ARMS characters in anything at all.
2:22 apparently they gave him Law's moves from tekken
the drag in SvM is, all of the things (starting from characters to moves) are needed to be unlocked in the Dungeon mode. so yeah, it takes time lol
So Matt, you being a beat em up enthusiast, have you ever heard of game called Demolish Fist? It’s from Dimp, one of their first games before Rumble Fish, it looks pretty hype and might be right up your alley
Yes! I played it back in the day. Been thinking of doing a video on it.

The last game's voice acting was some of the best English I've ever herd in my life.
The spin sound effect in Shogun Warriors sounds like the Crash Bandicoot spin sound but a different pitch lol
34:01 where’s my ninja werewolf game, dammit.
14 year old me would've loved Heartbreakers. For obvious reasons...
I agree that fighting games should have more powerups, but the people that act like only 2% of Smash Bros is playable would freak out!
Maybe Alien challenge is a challenge BY the aliens, like they abducted all these weirdos and are making them fight for their amusement or something.
1:35 "yoooo we in tgat! Tgat era" ahh yes, an era that is sorely missed, and needs to make it's triumphant return. Someday, maybe someday....
This video was funny asf nice 1 yo
Negima vs Hajime No Ippo, that's how Houdini died.
Didn’t know Kekkaishi and Law of Ueki were in a crossover game; nice
Blandia appears to be the versus fighter sequel the the 1986 classic Gladiator.
There was a Inuyasha sequel anime a couple of years ago called, IIRC, Yashahime.
Am I just a 90's kid or was that the Beyblade theme I heard @42:36 when "Cinder" started spinning??
That character in Alien Challenge reminds me of Donnie Yen in Iron Monkey (1993).
Heartbreakers (seems everybody ‘lost their smile’ like HBK Shawn Michaels did once) and Blandia especially seemed pretty cool!
I've known Sunday VS Magazine before but I never actually saw its gameplay until now.
It actually looks so good and simple. But too simple. Was there some kind of longer combos or that's just it?
Shounen Jump is Japan's equivalent to DC while Shounen Sunday and Magazine are like the equivalents to Marvel and Image, though in the case of Sunday vs. Magazine it may be more Image vs. Whoever the hell the 4th place comic company is (IDW maybe?).
