Tower A at Ibn Battuta is 7 or 8 years older than tower B, which was completed over the last couple of years. Having lived in the UAE over the last 7 years I can tell you that the silver bum gun is one of the best items I have found in the UAE and I will definitely be bringing one back to the UK if I ever return. Why use 20 sheets of loo roll, when you can use 2. 😂 😂
@@jjhatch69 silver bum gun 🤣🤣🤣 is that their official title? You don't have to go to Dubai to get one. You can have anything delivered straight to your door via the magic of Amazon! Most of my family have it installed in their bathroom in London too.
@PurePeacePower It's the official British name. Even the local English speaking radio programs refer to it as either the SBG or silver bum gun. 🤣 If I were to use one in the UK, I think I would have a mixer tap to avoid the shock from cold water in the winter. Over here, it's the other way round. The jet is very hot in the summer and has a nice temperature in the winter. Laying pipes in the desert can be a distinct disadvantage for thermal comfort.
I would absolutely stay there and especially for that price. The room was fabulous looking, loved how you could block off the bathroom if you wanted to, and the corner room views were stunning. I also like that the breakfast, which looked like a relatively nice spread, was included in the price of your room. Thanks for taking us along with you, Tim!
I’ve got a booking in this hotel for 2 weeks in July for £400!!! It’s a family room without breakfast but still come on. Thanks for the video now I’m excited even more 😍
It’s always surprised me how reasonably priced hotel rooms are in Dubai, add to that is the fact that you can eat out relatively cheaply (if you’re sensible) Together with cheap taxis, make Dubai relatively cost effective for a break. This does exclude the cost of airfares to get there though. Tip there is a duty-free shop at Dubai airport on your arrival. stock up on beers and wines, very reasonable prices compared to what you’ll pay in the hotel bars
Going to Dubai doesn't always mean 5* or go home - thanks Tim for this video! I'll definitely put this at the top of my list when it comes to accomodation next time
Really look forward to your videos. Can’t believe i’ve just googled that room as cheap as £45 yet I’ve clocked premier inns in the uk for £120-200 a night! Shocking value compared to Dubai.

I've been to Dubai and the hotel I stayed was fantastic, but this Premier Inn looks equally as fantastic. I love the door design for the bathroom and the shower cubicle is a great size.
What a great vlog, I'm always impressed by the way you describe everything, explaining in detail the good and the not so good, and the important thing the prices. Thanks again Tim well done, 😘💚
Wow ,A Wonderful Inn ! It is truly a unique inn that offers ease and comfort to its visitors and facilitates them with the service of a 4 - star hotel as well as entertains them with the view of the beautiful landscape ! Thanks for sharing ! ❤️❤️
Great video - You also forgot to mention that there is a bridge that gives you direct access to the massive Ibn Batuta mall which has loads of restaurants and a cinema.
I went to Dubai 3 years ago for a conference and booked Premier Inn Al Jaddaf - it was great just like the one you just reviewed except it didn’t have 3 towers. The restaurants were good and loved that they had costa coffee in the cafe in the foyer. I was there by myself so I could pop down in a morning and grab a coffee and pastry if I didn’t want a bigger breakfast without having to wander the streets looking for stuff. I would definitely recommend it. It also had a pool. Good value and very clean and new. I have used Premier inns all over the UK when on holidays from Brisbane and never had any issues so felt confident booking this one in Dubai but was stunned by how good it was. 👍❤️
i have stayed in dubai many times , and initially 4 and 5 start hotels , but now i always just stay in a premier inn , great value for money , and cant fault them , ive stayed at this 1 in ibn buttata , there is a very very cheap food court in ibn shopping mall , and its right next to metro station , so absolutly bang on place to stay
Wow I love this video! Thanks for sharing. Never knew Dubai had a premier inn. I’d defo give it a try, it looks perfect for getting a comfortable nights stay after hectic days sightseeing 😊
Premier Inn Abu Dhabi International Airport is also very nice & also has a pool. The best part is that it’s inside the airport so it’s perfect for long layovers
What a lot of people do not or even refuse to acknowledge is that basic living standards in the UK are pretty substandard when compared with the majority of the developed world so it comes as no surprise when you see that hotels and accommodation are of a much higher standard than we see over here, you notice these things the more you travel abroad.
The premier Inn looks so clean and modern ,and the price per night very good ,alot of UK ones charge more ,and without Breakfast, great tip, Tim,book there , and a flight , bargain , thanks another great vidio Tim 👍
Ah, I wish I knew you were in Dubai! I stayed in the Premier Inn by Dubai International airport 2 nights ago, and thought it was alright (but nothing special), but decent for what I paid to be honest. Great video - will be watching what else you get up to during your stay here!
One of my friends has been to Dubai numerous times and just loves it, for work, not play. He said they look at him crazy then talk his ear off about all his tattoos.
In fairness to Premier Inn, we really don’t have the climate for a pool and loungers here in the UK 😂 It’s absolutely superb value though, especially with the upgrade.
My partner that works for Travelodge says that Travelodge and premier inn pop their names on hotels in other countries. Like george Forman and his grill! They're so proud of it, they put their name on it!
The main airport hotel at Abu Dhabi Airport with connecting walkway to the terminal is a Premier Inn, yes has a roof top swimming pool with views over the airport and it was quite nice, it even has a Costa Coffee inside reception area. Nice vlog. 🙂
I love Premier Inns in the UK when we go there so impressed with price point and cleanness and such friendly staffs. Very helpful, too. Your room was amazing the corner windows were fabulous and loved the bathroom set up. Your reviews are top-notch as you cover all the important points with such a friendly attitude.
Never been, never wanted to go to Dubai. But your flight and now the Premier Inn - maybe.....just for the experience. I don't ever see much advertising for trips to Dubai, might have to just go there ! To think I began watching you in Cromer !
Stayed in a.premiere Inn near Silverstone at the weekend. Where was out swimming pool!😅 Our rooms were cream and brown, white bedding. Same bed set up etc we had a nice enclosed bathroom with shower.

I have stayed here several times for work and it is very good. On the doorstep is a massive shopping mall with bowling and cinema. Just across the street is the metro which means you can get anywhere quite cheaply and quickly.
Wow! Them Premier Inns look more posh then the one back in the UK. I have never seen a swimming pool or a gym in a Premier Inn. The corridors looks a bit more wider then the ones in the UK, such a nice room with a nice window view. Oh how cool is that with the bathroom door. You can easy tell that someone was on floor 3 when waiting for the lift.
It’s so hot there, I arrived in a transit hotel in the desert a few years back, stepped out of a cheeky ciggie and was 32 degrees at 1am! But Premier Inn beds are the best!
That’s a stunning room for the price - I used to sell holidays to Dubai many moons ago (I’ve never been) and that room is comparable to many of the “famous” hotels in Dubai that cost a lot more!
What a splendid hotel! Gorgeous room and amenities. I’d definitely stay there for the majority of the holiday, maybe splurge for a night or two at a really fancy hotel. But this looks like a great place to spend the most time at as your home base during the holiday while you explore Dubai.
We stayed at the premier inn in Edinburgh recently and the bed was exactly the same and the room was very similar except for the bathroom was basic but did supply all the shampoo shower gel etc, tea/coffee mini bar for a basic double room I thought it was great value for money. So maybe they are upgrading their properties
Hi Tim. This looks fab. I would love to travel more now that we can. It's hard to find reasonable priced hotels that includes almost everything. I would definitely look into this one. It would be for 2 or 3 adults and a baby. Thankyou for your videos. 😊. Hope you're all well. UK is pretty miserable right now lol. Can't wait for the next video. 👍. Xx
If you're trying to convince me to come to Dubai, then you're certainly going about it the right way. What a wonderful hotel this is, you'd never believe that this is a Premier Inn, and I can't believe the price either. Breakfast being included is an added bonus. If you're curious about the plugs and sockets showing up here, the UK isn't the only country to use the type G, they're used in a handful of smaller commonwealth countries as well as Saudi Arabia and its neighbours.
Yep tim, I'm as sad as you. Said "wow" when you entered the room. Love the cream headboard rather than purple. Lovely Premier Inn. Weird toilet!! Phone in toilet. Soaking your trousers 😂. Brilliant video 🤗😘
Interesting. I like Premier Inns in the UK, especially the all-you-can-scoff breakfast. Some hotels in Dubai, at the higher end of the market, do serve pork bacon and sausages, but they need a separate kitchen to prepare them and you are supposed to use separate cutlery to eat them. Similarly, some supermarkets sell pork products, but the area for that is sectioned off.
Another good video, only just came across your youtube channel on Thursday, I have watched quite a few of your videos since then, but I can remember when you were on Jackpot TV in the early hours of the mornings.
There used to be a Premier Inn at Norman Cross near Peterborough that used to have a health club but I think it’s gone now! On Dubai, nice to visit but we prefer Abu Dhabi, probably as I have family there so accommodation is free😊
As someone who wants to visit with my partner but doesn't want to spend hundreds on a room this video is great. Least we know we can get a fairly cheap hotel that actually looks very good Thanks Tim!
This is a great video, I do like Premier Inn also if I’m in Dubai I’ll look for that.. the reason the UK does not have the bum-jet gun in the toilet is actually very simple, the water In winter is just too cold! I often thought of making one with a heated reservoir tank and pump.. I got used to those in Thailand and most of Asia.
You know what, I was surprised when I first saw PI in Dubai😂, and if they could replicate that standard back over here in the U.K., it would seriously challenge a lot of bigger name hotels👍🏾
We bought a 'bum gun' with us back from Singapore, Tim. All South East Asian countries use 'em in the loos. I used them for 20 years before heading back home. Tbh, it is more for hygiene than saving on loo role (although that's a bonus). Never feel clean just using bog roll anymore. It just kind of smears all those germs around, if you know what I mean. UK is way behind on this.
I stayed in a hotel in Edmonton Alberta last summer which had disability rooms ( I am disabled) no extra charge with an amazing toilet with the as you call it “ bum gun”. I’ve never been cleaner. I’m going to look for a portable one for home and travel use, thanks for posting that comment.
@@LordMelbury1953 No problem, Kevin. One word - try and get a more pricey, solid stainless steel gun with flexible stainless hose, as there are a lot of cheap plastic versions, which are a bit naff. You want it to last. If you are on Facebook, you can message me your details and I'll send back a brief video of our set up and how it is plumbed in.
Premier Inn in Dubai? Who knew! Really useful info, thanks. Actually, apart from the bathroom layout, there are similarities with the one I just stayed in at Heathrow T4. That too had a fridge, safe, big TV and phone. Same reading lights as well. Price is a no-brainer. If you factor in that a Premier Inn breakfast is around a tenner in the UK then, for a couple, it brings the “room only” price down to the equivalent of £79 a night, which is similar to many PI UK prices in popular locations. I didn’t catch whereabouts it is. Some distance from the city centre given the distant view of the skyline, I guess?
I’ve visited Dubai twice now and would go again. For a few nights. It’s a great hotel to stop in, as most of the time you’re in the city I notice it’s also close to the Metro. 👍👍
Hi Tim thanks for making that great video and wow its amazing that Dubai has a premier Inn and the room looked so awesome. I would stay there for sure.
Thank you Tim for this I had no idea you could stay there at a good price. I knew they don’t have pork bacon or anything but that’s OK. The room look beautiful. good job Tim
I'm wondering if that's a handicap accessible unit that they gave you because of such space and width of the entryway. And all around the bed with a roll-in shower to accommodate wheelchairs plus the size of the shower. ?
I had the worst night's sleep in a Glasgow premier inn 5 years ago. The main reason for that was the bedding - pillowcases, duvets, covers, etc. was made from 100% synthetic fibers which is the cheapest and worst fabric to come into contact with human skin. I may as well have wrapped myself in foil and tucked into an oven. Within minutes of contact, I heated up and couldn't sleep a wink. Never again.
I do believe you as I stayed there, it is a great location as you can catch a coach to Abu Dhabi from Ibn Bat… also it is handy during the Grand Prix season.. lovely video
Have you ever considered staying at any of the Leonardo hotels in the UK? I recently stayed in one and was impressed and I'm planning on trying out one in London later on this year.
It’s got Meilá vibes especially with the design of the bathroom, although the sliding doors adds some comfort. Not sure if sharing rooms with twin beds have that, but some don’t, which makes business trip sharing rooms really awkward
Really enjoyed this.Your personality always comes shining through!Appreciate the detail you always put in.Also , love the polo shirts very professional and smart .Thank you for bringing Dubai to us! Your devoted fan from America
I am lucky to visit Dubai every 4-6 weeks due to work, and its amazing how you can get a 3 star hotel (Which is more like 4/5 Star) for £50-£100 a night, I think people only look at hotels like the Atlantis and think the rest of Dubai is super expensive. Also for Tourists...Dubai has dropped its alcohol tax lately (30%!) so people should start seeing a massive value change there too. (I would say that normal pubs (Not the tourist traps!) are now cheaper than alot of London pubs)
Hello Tim,as a premier Inn like this one I would stay there, the room is amazing, looks more expensive, the breakfast meal was nice and plenty to choose from.
I have stayed here in 2020 and I stayed in the corner room of the other building which was enormous just for one person that the price tag on that room was 169 Dirhams. I have stayed in a few premier inns in the UK. Heathrow T4, Preston north and Milton keynes willen lake with all are very good in quality and price too
Hi Tim. I love your corner room just how they should be for a standard room in Dubai although I know you said it was an up grade.perhaps the single rooms in that one are the same but smaller. The room by the airport looked cheap and nasty.
You and your videos and content are great, please don't devalue your worth by adding cringey clickbait titles like 'you won't believe it' and 'I was shocked' taglines to your videos, you certainly don't need them to draw people in. Staying in a Premier Inn in Dubai is intriguing and unusual enough for me to click.
@@heinsmit6206 uh.. yeah? Look at all the video titles ‘I was SHOCKED’, ‘You WONT believe this!’ And such. It’s a click bait tactic. Which is disappointing as his videos are great, he doesn’t need to stoop down to that.
Iban Batuta is a bit remote from central Dubai for me so the taxi journey is quite long. Nice mall though. Also that area does suffer from high winds which can be very frightening. Good very informative video , thanks , keep them coming!
I love premiee Inns , always use it in the u.k . Havent tried it in dubai. But the travel lodge was very good. All i need from a hotel , is a comfotable bed. Clean room and toilets. Everything working . Acces to an iron if requested. I prefer to spend the money on other parts of my holiday.
The cleanlinesses of that hotel was rather mind blowing. I was really impressed with your room, especially the fancy bathroom doors. 3 bum washers too 😂😂 For a similar price to here 🇬🇧 with all those extra amenities too !!! Breakfast …… At least the eggs will be real, not like the bacon but they’re a Muslim country aren’t they so that’s normal for them. Can we score ? I’ll say 8/10. -2 points for bacon and the sausages.
Their is some premier inn plus rooms in hotels in England, they don't cost much more but they certainly have a huge difference for compared to the standard rooms
Well presented as usual Tim It would be good if British Premier Hotel’s were as plush as the one in Dubai. Don’t think that one could be beaten.😊 All the best i look forward to more future videos I really enjoy them.👍
Great vlog Tim! I was in Dubai for a week in May 2022 and I found it weird having a telephone next to the toilet 😂😂😂 and glad you mentioned how strange it was lol
Hello, is that reception? / Yes, are you on the toilet? / Err, well, yes if you must know! / What are you doing? / Never you mind! / Do you need toilet paper? / NO!!! I wanted to know if breakfast is served!
I came across your channel today and I’ve watched a dozen videos. I really like your style and that you review a variety of places. Just subbed. Thanks from Las Vegas. 💞
Generally hotels aren’t expensive in Dubai, it’s everything else which is super expensive. Good video Tim and remember you can’t please everyone all of the time! Do you videos how you want.
Certainly a Premier Inn like no other; but then, it is Dubai! The upgrade part is very nice and good value, also taking into account you can have a good feast at breakfast.
I am a regular visitor to Dubai, love my annual trips, yes I'd certainly stop there as it looked really nice indeed - it's a bit far out to where I would like to stop, but overall I was impressed by the room and the facilities, but it's Dubai so what would you expect, nothing but the best and its always spotless and clean, nothing is ever a bad experience there in all fairness, in fact I have never had a bad experience, and staff at Hotels are first class and nothing is too much trouble. Now I've seen this, I'm now itching to go and book a trip there in September LOL.
Wow! That's the most massive Premier Inn I've ever seen! What a beautiful pool! The Night Lights in Dubai look amazing 😍good for football supporters with the big screen outside! Looks a lot posher generally than UK Premier Inns, more Premiere First Class! Wow amazing corner Dubai Room. Looks opulent! Mini fridge & condiments standard. Room service very good. Open plan Bathroom very chic👌 Ringing someone on the Toilet from the phone😂& a bidet squirter! Nice neutral decor. Massive TV. Breakfast included is fantastic. The views are spectacular. Was that Kedgeree in one of the dishes breakfast looks pretty good. I'd love some Kedgeree! And Waffle's! So many different cafes & places inside the Premier Inn. £97 pounds isn't bad at all. I thought it would be alot more expensive than that! A great first night in Dubai for you Tim Yes I would definitely stay here!!!

Similarly, some supermarkets sell pork products, but the area for that is sectioned off.
maybe they do across the road in M&S ?
Another good video, only just came across your youtube channel on Thursday, I have watched quite a few of your videos since then, but I can remember when you were on Jackpot TV in the early hours of the mornings.
Welcome aboard!
There used to be a Premier Inn at Norman Cross near Peterborough that used to have a health club but I think it’s gone now!
On Dubai, nice to visit but we prefer Abu Dhabi, probably as I have family there so accommodation is free😊
LOVE, LOVE, watching Tim on his travels... 👋
As someone who wants to visit with my partner but doesn't want to spend hundreds on a room this video is great. Least we know we can get a fairly cheap hotel that actually looks very good
Thanks Tim!
Thanks for watching!
I stay Novotel mall suites of emirates £45 a night great location rooftop pool extremely clean it’s lovely in middle of everything
The more I watch your channel the more I like the content and presentation style. Thanks.
Excellent..room looked fabulous. And for that price with brekko chucked in, unbeatable.
Ibn Battuta Mall
Also with the phone in the bathroom that's kind of a handicap thing.
Gosh I'm talking a lot today in these comments. Just call me Gabby!😊
Brilliant video Tim, what an eye opener compared to Lenny Henry’s array of offerings here in the Uk 😂 Keep up the amazing work 👍
Thanks 👍
@@philipjones9458 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Tizwas? Katanga!!!? 🤣🤣🤣
Like the design of the shower, slope towards showerhead rather than centre of floor and looks like a larger drainage area
Have you ever considered staying at any of the Leonardo hotels in the UK? I recently stayed in one and was impressed and I'm planning on trying out one in London later on this year.
I just stayed in the Leonardo Hotel in Brighton, loved it. Will be uploading a room tour a hotel explore in the next few days!
Your new youtube videos always cheer me mate legend
I am lucky to visit Dubai every 4-6 weeks due to work, and its amazing how you can get a 3 star hotel (Which is more like 4/5 Star) for £50-£100 a night, I think people only look at hotels like the Atlantis and think the rest of Dubai is super expensive. Also for Tourists...Dubai has dropped its alcohol tax lately (30%!) so people should start seeing a massive value change there too. (I would say that normal pubs (Not the tourist traps!) are now cheaper than alot of London pubs)
What do you do for work?
I’ve never been on holiday
Hello Tim,as a premier Inn like this one I would stay there, the room is amazing, looks more expensive, the breakfast meal was nice and plenty to choose from.
Tim….looks lovely! I’ve never been to Dubai, great video as usual!
When i stayed at premier inn, there was a free shuttle from the airport (outside terminal 3) you just had to ask for it. They were pretty frequent.
It's not click bait .. is it because even I was shocked
@@WalkWithMeTim Yeah, no.
Are you serious?
@@heinsmit6206 uh.. yeah? Look at all the video titles ‘I was SHOCKED’, ‘You WONT believe this!’ And such. It’s a click bait tactic. Which is disappointing as his videos are great, he doesn’t need to stoop down to that.
Iban Batuta is a bit remote from central Dubai for me so the taxi journey is quite long. Nice mall though. Also that area does suffer from high winds which can be very frightening. Good very informative video , thanks , keep them coming!
metro is only about 15 min
This guy is the goat of travel videos. From flights to hotels🔥
goat?
@@WalkWithMeTim yeah your are my greatest of all time travel channel 🔥🔥.. you are a goat🐐....😅😅 Binge watching your videos now.
Please dont use the word goat, its embarrassing
Fantastic I am planning a trip over and did wonder about the premier inn there, great insight
I lived in Dubai for a number of years and it is so clean, hotels, malls etc puts our country to shame
Canada same. Nothing but debt and taxes.
3 bum washers too 😂😂
For a similar price to here 🇬🇧 with all those extra amenities too !!!
Breakfast …… At least the eggs will be real, not like the bacon but they’re a Muslim country aren’t they so that’s normal for them.
Can we score ? I’ll say 8/10. -2 points for bacon and the sausages.
Wow now that's a lovely premier inn. Love the corner views. Not bad price either. ❤
7:14 you just demonstrated perfectly why we don't have them in the uk 🤣🤣🤣
Their is some premier inn plus rooms in hotels in England, they don't cost much more but they certainly have a huge difference for compared to the standard rooms
Well presented as usual Tim It would be good if British Premier Hotel’s were as plush as the one in Dubai. Don’t think that one could be beaten.😊 All the best i look forward to more future videos I really enjoy them.👍
Agree
Right at the end of the top floor of Tower B - how epic!!!!!!!
NO!!! I wanted to know if breakfast is served!
lol
I came across your channel today and I’ve watched a dozen videos. I really like your style and that you review a variety of places. Just subbed. Thanks from Las Vegas. 💞
Generally hotels aren’t expensive in Dubai, it’s everything else which is super expensive. Good video Tim and remember you can’t please everyone all of the time! Do you videos how you want.
Certainly a Premier Inn like no other; but then, it is Dubai! The upgrade part is very nice and good value, also taking into account you can have a good feast at breakfast.
The water thing next to the toilet isn’t for cleaning the bath 😅 it for cleaning your bumbum after having number 2😂
What a great place & of course another great video from Tim.
This one is beside Ibn Battuta Mall, i would recommend the Avani next door ...
Open plan Bathroom very chic👌
Ringing someone on the Toilet from the phone😂& a bidet squirter!
A great first night in Dubai for you Tim
Yes I would definitely stay here!!!
The one in Cardiff is far bigger lol
