I made this recipe twice this week, and it turned out great!! I used hazelnuts and almonds instead of cranberries and pecans (that's what I had). I also added 1/4 cup of chopped dark chocolate and 5 sukari dates (these are the moist kinds of dates). I added under a 1/3rd cup of water (which wasn't very necessary a tablespoon would've been good), and shaped the cookies with oiled fingers. Will probably make these again with cranberries and dried apple !!
Appreciation comment for this gem. Have made this more than 20 times in past 6 months. Always turns out great. Have gifted these to relatives and they all loved it. One thing that is inaccurate is baking time, it takes me 40 minutes to bake to golden brown.
I just made some. However, I do not use nuts and cranberry. I replaced them with chopped dark chocolate. 3 tbsp milk to heavy cream. I also reduced the amount of coconut oil to 40g + 50g butter. Thanks for the recipe. Very yummy and crunchy
Used Muesli instead of oats. Butter instead of coconut oil. Raisins instead of Cranberry. Cashew , almond, pumpkin seeds instead of walnuts. Also added some coffee Powder. It turned out amazing.
@@raviadiwal walnuts are great not everyone can have coconut oil or cashew do to reaction on skin. Besides everything is healthy if natural the sugar is the problem but raisins add natural sweetness
Thank you!! These turned out great for me. The only change I made was to replace Milk/Water with Soy Milk (Vanilla Flavored) and instead of 3 TBSP, I used 4.5 TBSP as it was a bit crumbly with 3TBSP.
Hi I just made hmmm yummy n healthy,,in my convection oven took 25 minutes to bake and I got 20 cookies Crunchy ❤Oatmeal,,and I add 1/3 cup chocolate chips 🤩
I just tried it but I don't have flaxseed, I didn't thought that it was for binding so I didn't use it. The dough was too dry and the ingredients couldn't get together so I used 1 egg white and it turned out great, we loved it.
I followed the recipe exactly, but mine were almost too crumbly to form into any shape. I pushed them together as well as I could and they're in the oven now. Smells great, but do you have any tips for what to add to make the dough hold together better, like yours do? Thanks!
I got the same problem! They turned out delicious, but a bit oily and crumbly at the same time. Will probably make them again, and add some water and banana (as someone suggested above). Good luck!
Hey I made these cookies twice and kids loved it ❤. It is very easy to make. Could also give recipe for coconut cookies without all purpose flour please

@@OverSeaToo Yes ! I myself make them without sugar ! I use liquid stevia or you can even leave it out since they have raisins ! The only problem with this recipe is that they really fall apart after baking ! They are so crumbly that they don’t stick together at all, otherwise they are very tasty !
It looks super tasty, however with the added sugar I think it's not healthy anymore maybe it would be healthy if the sugar was substituted by dates or honey or dried fruits

I took them out of the oven and added some stewed dates and the water to them to see if I could save the ingredients. It worked but they could have been better. Has anyone else found they are too crumbly and found a good solution?
It turns out like that when flax seed and milk mixture sits for more time. You can add more milk and it will become sticky again to form cookies. I have tried this.
I made these today, well as a lot of you said mine too were crumbly, so I added more coconut oil to get a consistency like hers, but now they are too oily and drenched
Wow; that does look good! Thanks for sharing 😸 (P.S. I'm baking it now but I must say that I must have done something wrong. When I pressed the dough together to make the little balls, they were very crumbly! Nowhere as beautiful as your cookies!)
Hi. Mine were very crumbly too so I just added splashes of milk, stirring in between to make it come together when pressed between the palms. But I didn’t overdo it because I didn’t want to end up with mush (mistakes made in the past) Good luck 👍
I tried it, very delicious, except I get a slight bitter aftertaste. I might have gone wrong somewhere. Most likely will repeat as it is very easy and simple ingredients. Thank you indeed
Looks yummy and almost healthy! Although much healthier than other oatmeal cookies I've seen. Any healthy oatmeal cookies I've tried taste too healthy to satisfy that desire for a cookie. 😜
Can I swap the sugar with maple syrup if yes what’s the quantity please? Thanks in advance P.S. I just discovered your channel and you have healthy recipes with sugar alternatives which is exactly what I was looking for so I can give to my young children. Looking forward to more such recipes & can’t wait to try them.
How do you store these? and how long will it last? I'm the only one eating oatmeal in my family. I can't eat all of these cookies alone, I gotta know how to store it 😅
I tried it today. At first, I thought the cookies were too dry, but then after a few more bites, I liked them. They are like breakfast bars I didn't add nutmeg, substituted the cranberries for dates & choc chips and butter for oil. Definitely going to try it again another time ☺️

I've tried backing it and it was really delicous. My kids love it. I replace sugar with date paste

I found the same. I'm a bit annoyed . Some expensive ingredients that will become granola! They need a lot more moisture to hold them together.
I added one banana for moisture.
I got the same problem! They turned out delicious, but a bit oily and crumbly at the same time. Will probably make them again, and add some water and banana (as someone suggested above). Good luck!
Don’t let flax seeds mixture sit for too long. If crumbly, best to just add more milk
