It must be in a freshwater lake,if it were exposed to saltwater the aluminum would be gone leaving blobs of rusted iron that are the engines.

Amazing. I don't get to watch your videos very often, but when I do, they are fascinating. I used to volunteer on the Battleship Texas with restoration and archives. It always excited us when items were found like cans of peaches or potted meats. These were items stashed by the crew and forgotten. Here, we found it 75 years later.

It’s not everyday you discover a 76 year old or older warplane!
I wonder if the aircraft stalled with the right wing down or the right wing hit the water first and hence we don’t see the right wing, but the related engine tore off and landed near the center of the debris field?

This is THE find of the year! Absolutely mind blowing you actually found the Dornier 24. AND the cockpit with the pilots seat. Forward of the cockpit you can see the collapsed ring for the forward machine gun turret. That "Filter" thing you saw was actually one of the pilots control pedals. She's obviously been scavenged at some time, since there's no instrument panel or radios in the aft compartment, but, what a find. Cannot wait to see what else you find once you have the ROV improved and powering! Well Done, fantastic work! Cheers to you both!

Wow what an epic video, stunning find! I was in awe the whole time and hoping you don't tangle the tether. Good work recovering the rov!

Hi HistoryHunter and family...I am commenting before even finishing the video. Thank you and thanks to all those who helped you do this. What a find. As close to live as possible and an amazing find. Words fail me. Now I cannot wait to get back to the plane - Congratulations!

Great work even with all the frustration, l think the filters you saw in the cockpit area are the rudder pedals👍

Stunning stuff, never stopped looking for the mounted MG and Magazine. As for the fish, they are mostly pouting but i agree about the cod @ 17:24, It would batter nicely!!!
