Did you get the Check Hybrid System? I've had this car for a few years and replaced the battery 3 years prior to this one failing, and I got the same service light on the dash before that one went out as well. I checked it with a Multi-Meter, and it was only putting out 9.8 volts. So it was definitely time to throw in a new 12 Volt battery. I will also show you how to safely disconnect the hybrid system. My CT is a 2012 but should work for most model years, or at least point you in the right direction. Thus video should also be helpful for the Toyota Prius as this is pretty much the same vehicle.
