Thanks Doug for posting these 2 episodes of building the crossings. Your timing was perfect as I have recently started building my first crossing and appreciate learning of your techniques.
what that crossing does for the scene is perfection, it really draws your eye to it when there is no trains moving by. Fine work, Thanks Doug. Cheers Rob
Great work. I have a dinner that's seating at the edge of the layout, I will copy your expansion 1x2 to get added area for some sidewalk and other details
Doug, great result with the crossing. Thank you for sharing your techniques, and insights, on how to get a fantastic result. Cheers, and staysafe, Michael
Turned out fantastic. I love what you said about the for hydrant for size and scale. I use 50gal drums for the same reason. I'll be using these tips soon as I am in the process of adding a country road that crosses the tracks.
Use 91%, it has way less water content. You’ll be using it around wood, probably a lot, and specially your building kit walls do NOT do very well with water…warpage, etc.!
Making my way through your videos. I like the grade crossing. Good surgical skills getting that hydrant in. Getting good tips from your content.
Looks great.
thanks learned some stuff
Nicely done, thank you for the ideas.
Excellent, your eye never fails you! Deliciously realistic, as I expected you would do. I think I’m gonna enjoy this series, a LOT!! 10:43
Awesome. Gave me a good idea to follow
Another great video! I always love seeing progress on your layout!
Thx Jason!
Nice work Doug… also here is the correct spelling for my last name… 😂

Great details, took notes!
👍👍👍
You could have just used emery sandpaper as the asphalt.
Great video thanks for share. Can be use 70% alcohol or have to be 91?.
