Statistics say 1 out of every 6 males is sexually assaulted prior to the age of 16, but that number could be much higher since many boys and men stay silent about their abuse. Dr. Kelli Palfy is a registered psychologist, retired RCMP officer and author of Men Too: Unspoken Truths About Male Sexual Abuse. She first became familiar with males as victims of sexual abuse when she worked with the Child Exploitation Unit of the RCMP in the early 2000s. She has since made it her goal to become an advocate for boys, young men and adult men who are too ashamed to speak up about the abuse they’ve experienced and thus suffer the consequences of staying silent. In this free six-part video series called The Hidden Epidemic of Male Sexual Abuse, Dr. Palfy will walk you through why we need to talk about this issue, how predators groom their victims, what to watch for, and how, by God’s grace, healing is possible for male victims of sexual abuse.

This person is dangerous. My husband who has PTSD contacted her for counseling. He'd just seen a psychiatric nurse at OSI who recommended he take advantage of health coverage for veterans. He called her. She said "the problem with people like you is that you wait too long for help, then it's a mess for me". Next, because my husband gets confused. He asked me to answer some of her questions. She said "I can't hear you above your wife talking". I said to my husband "this isn't going to work". He said to Ms. Palfy "this isn't going to work for us. She said "ok" and he hung up. 1 hour later 4 RCMP showed up. They'd been told that a vet with PTSD was dangerous & possibly had a woman tied up. I'm not at all kidding about this. As the poor RCMP came into a situation they might have had their lives at stake. This stupid, stupid , stupid woman did this out of malicious intent.
