Maybe it's just because I was a teenager and the past will always feel nostalgic, but this game and CBS presentation (the sounds and iconic scoreboard) feels like the height of the NFL. Today just doesn't live up to it IMO.
@onedeepsavage so just bc you say they should have 3-4 rings means that they should huh?? 🤣🤣Btw if you don't think that Tom Brady is the one of the best ever, you're seriously either trolling or don't have an IQ above a cucumber.
As a Viking fan, this is one of the first games as kid I couldn't wait to watch that wasn't a Viking game. Not a big game in NFL history, but i could remember racing back home to catch this one.
thank you for this, this is from before I had Sunday Ticket and my CBS Affiliate randomly switched to Buffalo @ San Diego, the game we in this are were supposed to get , halfway through this game and then back, so both games are incomplete.
Offense was phenomenal!!! They lost because the only good players they had on Defense was Dwight Freeney and Bob Sanders.. Of course Peyton is gonna put up plenty of pts but it doesn't really matter if the defense cant stop anybody.
Vanderjagt should've never been in that position to begin with. Fucking Dungheep went into slowdown mode after Colts clinched and they lost their edge; he did the same thing in '08 when we were 14-0. VDJ was a damn good kicker 99% of the time.
@matt matt I'm sorry man but the Steelers was on fire, they won five straight going into Indianapolis and started off a 21 point lead and by the way the Steelers almost cost the game when Bettis, whom never fumbles, fumbles. With all that being said, Colts constantly choked in the playoffs until the 06 season where they faced a bears team with great defense but no offense.
You realize the Colts played 4 games during that 06 playoff run right? They beat the Chiefs, the 13-3 Ravens at Baltimore, and the 12-4 Patriots before playing the Bears, they were capable of beating a good team. You said the Bears had no offense, well they scored 37 of the 39 points scored in the NFC title game and they scored 27 points in the game before against Seattle. I don't think their offense was as big a joke as people like to make it out as.
Gregory Haynes you're right, he ripped his right elbow apart early in 2008. He also broke his nose at some point... The great bengals offensive line of 2005 was decimated by career ending injuries between 2006-2007 as well. And the bengals replaced most of them with useless scrubs (not including Andrew Whitworth). Cincy just doesn't value the Oline, and Carson (now Dalton) greatly suffered because of it
Showdown by the Ohio River in 2005, but in the end, the Colts triumphed over the Bengals, 45-37!!! BTW, the Bengals never won a single game against a team Edgerrin James played on- Edge was 4-0, all-time vs. the Bengals!!!
There was a shitload of bad defense all over the field by both teams. That’s why Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer were outstanding in this game because of too much defensive letdowns
The two teams that the Steelers beat in their Super Bowl playoff run. And it took a Injury to Palmer and a bone-headed move by the Colts during the coin toss for that to happen.
Do you have the 2002 AFC Championship Game, Titans @ Raiders (may need a download link for it), and/or the last time the Texans faced the Ravens on MNF, in 2010 (upload game)? (the Texans face the Ravens this season, in week 12)
Pre-neck surgery Peyton Manning was surgical & tight spiraling💯💯💯Peyton should have the same number of rings as he does MVP’s...nevertheless, he’s still Da G.O.A.T💯💯💯

It's a damn shame I don't take the bengals will ever win a playoff game 😂😂 after what happened to us against the Steelers I really don't think we will.
Marvin Lewis is finally gone. Our chances of winning a playoff game are no longer zero. Who knows how Zac Taylor will pan out, but we all knew winning a playoff game was a virtual impossibility with Marvin
Maybe it's just because I was a teenager and the past will always feel nostalgic, but this game and CBS presentation (the sounds and iconic scoreboard) feels like the height of the NFL. Today just doesn't live up to it IMO.
Thanks for that upload back in August. Been looking for that game for years. The shootout game
Montana, Manning, Marino, and Rodgers are the best QBs Ive ever seen play. Peyton and Dan should have had at least 3-4 rings
@onedeepsavage so just bc you say they should have 3-4 rings means that they should huh?? 🤣🤣Btw if you don't think that Tom Brady is the one of the best ever, you're seriously either trolling or don't have an IQ above a cucumber.
This 2005 Colts team is one of the best teams ever
As a Viking fan, this is one of the first games as kid I couldn't wait to watch that wasn't a Viking game. Not a big game in NFL history, but i could remember racing back home to catch this one.
Skol 💜💛
I went to this game with my dad the good times as a colts fan
So much better than Today’s NFL
thank you for this, this is from before I had Sunday Ticket and my CBS Affiliate randomly switched to Buffalo @ San Diego, the game we in this are were supposed to get , halfway through this game and then back, so both games are incomplete.
I can't believe that the Colts didn't win the SB that season. I believe this 05 team was the best all around of that Colts area
Evonna Mann it's alright, they won it the next year with a kicker who hasn't cost us a game the way Vanderjagt did in Adam Vinatieri.
Offense was phenomenal!!! They lost because the only good players they had on Defense was Dwight Freeney and Bob Sanders.. Of course Peyton is gonna put up plenty of pts but it doesn't really matter if the defense cant stop anybody.

Edgerrin was so good always fell forward 4 those extra yrds
Carson Palmer pre-injury was SO good that year. It's a shame what happened. That Cincy team in 2005 started 11-3 and they had just IT.
Chris Kreager yep. Sadly, Carson was never the same after that. Huge "what could have been" player
in 2006, he was descent also, didn't he got hurt somewhere again? I think the second one destroyed him.
Threw for 4000 yards and he went to the Pro Bowl that year.
Seems like hes always been Injury suspect to me.. Every single time he had a decent season he would get hurt about half way through that season
Showdown by the Ohio River in 2005, but in the end, the Colts triumphed over the Bengals, 45-37!!! BTW, the Bengals never won a single game against a team Edgerrin James played on- Edge was 4-0, all-time vs. the Bengals!!!
Edge was underrated 4sure a bad dude no doubt!!

Steelers outplayed Colts don't blame a coin toss

Great game
Starving Marvin Harrison

That Peyton Manning MasterCard commercial was low-key hilarious.
Pre-neck surgery Peyton Manning was surgical & tight spiraling💯💯💯Peyton should have the same number of rings as he does MVP’s...nevertheless, he’s still Da G.O.A.T💯💯💯

Do Patriots Colts week 3 of the 2001 season next!
Winning Percentage when the opponent scores 30+ points from 2001-2020:
- 13.1% winning percentage
Peyton Manning when the Colts allowed the opponent to score 30+ points from 2003-2009:
- 58.8% winning percentage
Just like most games after 2000, the defense STINKS.
Damn the Colts had 28 midway thru the 2nd qtr? The bengals D was crap.
If Indy had had a defense half of good as their offense it would've been the Colts winning 3 SB in the '00s. But they didn't in either case.
You act like they didn’t have a good defense from 2005-2009
patriots vs chargers 2014
49ers vs Ram 2016 Christmas Eve
Living near Indy, watching perfection at QB for 10 years, I just can't get interested in football anymore. That even before the kneeling bullshit.
Could you upload dallas vs Philadelphia October 9th 2005 it’s where tony romo made his debut
2006 against the giants was his debut.
First 2024-2025 season starts today!
It's a damn shame I don't take the bengals will ever win a playoff game 😂😂 after what happened to us against the Steelers I really don't think we will.
Which year? Steelers have screwed you more than once.
Marvin Lewis is finally gone. Our chances of winning a playoff game are no longer zero. Who knows how Zac Taylor will pan out, but we all knew winning a playoff game was a virtual impossibility with Marvin
So is Burfict n Jones
