In this series I will be building the city of Sarougal in Cities Skylines. Sarougal is a fictional, highly detailed european city in a mediterranean setting. The series will feature cinematics and tutorials showing different parts of the city as it progresses.
In this ninth and last part of St Creile Airport we will go on an extensive tour through all the areas of the finished airport. Hope you enjoy, and don't forget to subscribe! :)

This is definitely one of the best airports I've ever seen in the history of Skylines. The stand markings, the aesthetic of the taxiways, the planes and how they move, man. Sarupol looks like an airport my dad would be flying to every once in a while.

This is just awesome! As someone who has spent like 500 hours building nothing but an airport this is indeed an amazing build. The verticality of the different heights, the transportation infrastructure, the combination of assets to create new and interesting architecture. Great work! I just want to load up your save game and fly around all of the infrastructure looking at the details 😂

Builds like this deserve some kind of award man what a Brilliant Job you've done! I also feel like there's no need for a Cities Skylines 2 game as this builder goes to show just how realistic you can get with the abundance of content created for this games absolutely amazing, Great back round sound track, video and camera angles to capture the details just right and with on point commentary. Its a 10!!!!

Definitely inspiring me to create an airport in Cities Skylines, although I don't have nearly enough patience (or a good enough computer) to build one as detailed and realistic as this :D

I’ve tried in the past to provide a savegame but it was too complex (and you need around 350gb of RAM/virtual memory to run it). I might try soon again though as i did a major mod cleansing that might make things easier. I won’t do another airport as i spent 3 years only building this one. I’ve started building on the city itself, making it as ultra detailed as the airport 😊

Hi, I have seen so many airports in cs... but this one?!?! It is so realistic and soooo f****** beautiful... Hope to get one day to that level of detailing in my city, altough i dont know if my pc will support that many assets😂😂 Amazing job!!!

I have to say, I'm happy to see another Video of you with your awesome custom Airport Build and all it's detailing (especially also all the new animations you added with PO I think - Towing-Trucks and Airplanes)... and also so sad that it'll be the last one we get of it.
And I have to agree, Chamëleon TBN is a great Guy and had helped me with some issues I had with my Mods too. 👍

Incredible build!!!! I'd say you can compete with FBS if you wanted to! (Though I'd say so far they might have you beat, FBS was amazing) but either way, if you keep going and working at it, you'll be right up there with the greatest airport build in C:S!!! Maybe even above it! Great job again!

Yeah FBS is indeed a great airport and a great yt-series, one of my favourites 😊 However that airport lacks quite a few details that my airport has, and that’s why i could make the claim ”most realistic”. Making the claim ”the greatest” or ”best” is something i would never do though as that’s a matter of opinion.
I’ve moved on from the airport, working on the city itself instead as I’ve spent three years working on the airport 😉

One change though would be at 7:40 ground storage and equipment is usually located under the terminal and most likely wouldn’t be in the middle of the apron from my experience

Thank you! That’s why i had realistic and not best in the title, there are a lot of great airports created by the community now, especially in the last year. And yeah FBS is a classic series. I think i started this airport at around the same time they released their first ep!

Thank you! I’m working on the actual city now, so more will come (but it will take a while). I was recently close to losing this save due to outdated mods. As long as you keep your mods updated and unsubscribe from old ones you’re usually fine with many mods. I also use Load Order Mod to manage my mods, and Compability Report mod to know if there is any issues with my mods.

Thank you! No sorry, I’ve tried to share one in the past but it’s way too complicated to do with a save like this (100’s of custom textures, 1,5gb savefile size, 300gb of ram to run, etc)

Genuine question for you: Does the plane that parked in most of the aircraft gates/stands are actually working? or it is just a plain decorative purpose? Also, if it is a really working gates, how can you aligned the plane doors with gate perfectly? Because the default Airport DLC plane stands boarding bridge sometimes mismatch with the prop asset plane (not the default plane from Airport DLC). For example, the Boeing 777 being parked too forward because it is a long plane so the boarding bridge 'stick' to the more behind the airplane fuselage causing it to not actually stick with the doors. I hope you answer my question!
Hi! Thanks for your question! All planes that moves, except those reversing with the help of a tow truck, are working. I used custom invisible plane stands then built custom gates around it (with PO mod) for it to look correct. I have a tutorial for that in one of my episodes, can’t remember which one atm 🙈

@@magim2039 you could make a custom animation as well, i didn’t though (only did animations on planes reversing/cargo loading). We can see the influence of Paris in this airport with the sheraton, mf01 metro, terminal 2abc, ''dépose minute'', the mi2n RER, the storm water bassin

Do u use the airport dlc for this, or do u do things manually with the plane stands, pedestrian paths and so on?
Most of the airport was created before the dlc, so yes, the plane stands and paths etc are created manually. But I’ve used a lot of the dlc buildings since the launch as seen here: ruclips.net/video/AT5nBctRKsE/видео.html
@@Essadcsk yea i noticed the fusion. last time i built an airport was like 2 summers ago? so waaaay before the dlc. My last map got wiped but i was planning on creating something similar to al maktoum airport, it doesnt exactly exist irl rn but i think its meant to be the biggest ever. but yeah since that map got wiped i took some time off the game. over summer i visited paris and honestly fell in love with cdg (although i didnt get to go to the round terminal 1, it was under maintenance). however, the airport, the roads, everything is just so beautfiul im planning on remaking or taking inspiration from it once the game calms down after this shitty update ;/

64gb is correct! It’s a bit of a slideshow in the middle of the airport, but 4 years in the save is still working 😊
Can you tell me what settings, lighting etc you use to get everything so crisp and realistic looking? All my graphics are set to the highest settings and everything looks cartoony… i’m also using daylight classic and relight and can’t get it anywhere near as good looking as this
I play at 4K resolution. Do you too, or use the mods better textures and dynamic resolution?
@@Essadcsk I watched a couple of youtube videos after I commented yesterday and managed to get my quality a lot better, it’s the lighting i’m still struggling with a bit, spent around 6hrs trying to get it right yesterday, it either feels too bright or funny coloured… i’ll get it though.
Spent the last month building my airport, i’m around 3/4 finished and it looks nowhere near as good as this, kinda sickening ☺️ your airport is just next level, well done…
I’ve made an airport with the airport dlc and I made it on a mountain and it had 35 runways and over 600 planes

What is the mod you use for real life airliners?
I use advanced vehicle mod to load the airplane assets ingame (and set realistic acc/speed/brake values). I also use service vehicle selector to make them taxi to the right gates

Yeah, vanilla planes don’t look very realistic. I use custom plane models from the workshop, along with around 15000 other assets and 100 mods to make this airport look realistic!

how is that you don t have like a lot of planes using the same runway?
I have functional plane stands scattered on different locations in the airport, forcing the traffic to use different taxiways/runways. There was a lot of trial and error in the beginning of this build to make it work 😊

No accusation here but stating that your own airport is the most realistic one is a bit of arrogant. Not that I don‘t like your work but you never know how many C:S builder out there don‘t show their work to the rest of the world…
That’s true, i can’t know about those who don’t show their work - but after all these years working on this i have a pretty good knowledge about what’s currently created in this community. I know there are cooler and prettier airports created. But if anything more realistic (this size) comes up i’ll def change the title!

I still have to use 300gb of virtual memory to make the save run :P
I also have a secondary computer that i use for audio and music production but not for gaming or video production.
