  • (19 Nov 1986) President Ronald Reagan, struggling to get off the defensive and quell reports of dissension within his administration, faces questions at a news conference about sending arms to Iran, a nation he accuses of fostering terrorism. The president meets the White House press corps tonight for the first time in three months, and questions are certain to focus on recent turns in the Reagan administration's foreign policy.

There’s a world of difference between how Trump handles criticial reporting and other legitimate leaders.
And you also have to understand, these reporters have to interrupt often because Trump takes his answers off the rails, meanders, and starts making it personal with the reporters.
Reagan was a corrupt president but he did at least have maturity, which is not a prime Trump feature. Reagan was not a provocateur while simultaneously fragile. Reagan never tried to wage a cultural war on the free press.
Media’s handling of Donald Trump was warranted. Trump was never a usual candidate and President, and not in a good way either. An “outsider” but the absolute worst type of outsider.

The 1979 revolution proved to be a regrettable decision, as it resulted in the loss of a thriving economy, social liberties, and progress towards a positive future. Instead of resorting to overthrowing the regime, dissatisfied individuals could have pursued avenues for change within the existing system. Under the leadership of Alahazrat Mohamad Reza Shah Pahlavi, Iran experienced significant development and prosperity, but unfortunately, his departure led to the downfall of our nation, the erosion of our freedoms, and numerous other setbacks.
