Exactly
Craziest thought process ever.
“Blame Reagan for making me to a monster/Blame Oliver North and Iran Contra/I ran contraband that they sponsored” - Jay-Z
Which song is this
@@tohidi_ Jay Z - Blue Magic
Meanwhile the Sandinistas are in charge of Nicaragua today.. maybe look at what they are doing.. then decide if the Contras fight was just.
@Alexander The Great why don't you debunk me and prove me wrong instead of acting sensitive and hurling insults. The truth hurts. I know poor darlin. But some of us appreciate looking at all the facts and thinking critically.
@Alexander The Great oh.. and btw.. how am I boot licking if I am against the people who are in charge? Stop projecting.
Who else searched “Ollie North” after watching American Dad?
🗣️ You forgot the part about the CIA flying the Contras and their cocaine into Los Angeles on military planes, coincidentally at the same time and place crack mysteriously appeared in South Central LA
Yeah they always 'forget' that part or leave out Bush and the CIA ran the operation while Bush was co-ordinating the US 'anti-drug' agencies and foreign policy in Latin America. Death squads in Guatemala and El Salvador equipped and trained by USA and allies like Israel. Negotiations with terrorists and the marketing of crack cocaine on the streets of the Republic. The empowerment of the police state in the USA and the export of American jobs abroad.
How Americans went to prison for selling cocaine that was shipped into the US by the US government.
Gary Webb revealed this later on.
Yeah don’t see Barry seal being mentioned here.
REAL TALK!!
"Its strange how Cocaine, rocked us" --2pac
Left out the bit that went............The plan was for Israel to ship weapons to Iran, for the United States to resupply Israel, and for Israel to pay the United States. Which led to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) finding that the U.S. had encouraged violations of international humanitarian law by assisting paramilitary actions in Nicaragua.
It’s rumored that Ollie did indeed trade cocaine as well. The infamous crack cocaine epidemic started during a Reagan’s term in office.
Then a hero came forth
His name was Oliver North!
America needs another Soldier President like Dwight D. Eisenhower
He brought Shah back to power in '53
CyberspacedLoner I mean technically Herbert Walker Bush counted, however I’d take a regular civilian over a draft dodger
I haven't felt this bad since I saw that Ronald Reagan movie!!
I learned about this on American Dad
My mom was a contra - per her they were freedom fighters.. because the government was evil.. but as I’ve grown older I’ve been more apt to learn and question everything I’ve been taught. I know the sandinistas tortured many and tried to kill my grandparents on the street .. I’ve had to educate my mother on the crack era and it’s relation to them. It’s crazy to grow up and question if you’ve been taught to be proud of something that may or may not be true. Or a truth mixed in with lies
Wow, I thought it was a bigger deal than this. At least now I know where Poindexter comes from.
Wow these political issues are so complicated and morally difficult to grasp. When will we see an expose of "Fast and Furious?" Surely that was morally upstanding and straight forward.
Wow now i understand this was simple and easy to catch
and now hes on fox neeeeeeeeeeeews!
Thanks
I cannot believe that Reagan wasn't arrested and put under the jail for this...
Iron contra was a pivotal changing point in that time in history
So people are angry about a few millions, while trillions are being unaccounted for...
I wish the context of why the Contras were trying to overthrow the Nicaraguan government - and perhaps why Reagan supported them- were included.
One word: COMMUNISM
All they have to do is look at Nicaragua today and see what the Sandinistas are doing today while they are in charge.
From what I understand, a good portion of Contra rebels were in fact ex-Sandinistas who disagreed with the path the new government was taking. As well as this, due to nationalisation policies of the Sandinistas, up to many indigenous were forcefully removed from their land which caused many to join the Contras.
@@rayfish007 Because America cares about the well being of the countries of the world
@@mat3693 well today the Sandistas shot protesters and have removed term limits to be in charge for life. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Hence the true failure of communism.
nice little brush over
What about Gary Webb Danilo Blandon Freeway Ricky Ross and their contribution to the contras by selling crack cocaine and destroying black and Latino neighborhoods in America
Mat Truth that’s not acknowledged by mainstream media.
Had to come watch this after the ollie north song on American dad
Cohen's news story made me consider how the colonel would might appreciate the variance in penalty against executive criminality for associates.. A possibility of no time served.
Ok I honestly thought that North was an American Dad character but no… he’s real
Reagan's delegating of many details to underlings worked to his benefit here. He could plausibly say that he knew nothing of what they were doing. I think he probably did but unlike Nixon he didn't tape his conversations so we don't know for sure.
He admitted to his columnist buddy Hugh Sidey that he did know. It's the "that rag in Beirut" conversation.
@@peggygeren4169 source and how do we know he actually said this to that man.
Yeah he had plausible deniability. He didn't know anything and we can't prove he did so its purely conjecture to say he knew.
Note: Reagan's Attorney General investigated Reagan's OWN administration. Prime example of the need for an independent Justice Department, not one directed toward revenge against the president's political opponents.
This scandal seems almost quaint by today's standard of kleptocratic corporatocracy.
Might call my punk band ‘Kleptocratic Corporatocracy’ haha
Its really the same plot with different stuffed shirts blathering .
Just getting more info because of snowfall
Reagan is the reason I was born in the U.S :) thank you
His also the reason your country is f-up till this day, and why we have a migrant problem.
That American Dad!'s oliver North's Theme Song!?!?!?
History Channel I thought t you were banned from airing historical programming since 2004?
Who else just got finished watching American Made
God bless Oliver North and the Contra.
Only thing I remember was this mess interrupting HeMan and Battlecat, Smurfs etc.
It's okay guys. As long as the black president didn't do it, it's fine.
-Conservatives.
AK47 LCOB ikr

Well! Obama did the NDAA! Since late 2011 all american citizens and others in the places where the US governmant is acting are to be considered possible terrorists! "But that doesn't matters much" - Liberals!
pretty sure conservatives would be pro tim scott presidency or something
"Is okay guys. As long as a republican did it, not a democrat, it's fine."
Thank u Thank u Thank U
Who else is here from American Dad?
Don't forget about what happened to Gary Webb
Oliver North is a hero!
Terrorista fsln
That cleaned it up for me!
Atleast Reagan brought back those hostages. Carter failed miserably on bringing back hostages.
It wasn’t Carter’s fault that Operation Eagle Claw went FUBAR. But Carter green-lit the Argo operation to get the ‘houseguests’ out.
Reagan violated US Policy to never sell your soul nor the country's soul to terrorists
Thanks for making my childhood in the 80s so memorable, Reagan! The crack era was soo fun!
Raegan was over rated.
Trollol Police really? Are you a history teacher?
Well he was an actor, and he played all of us.
At least he was a good actor, unlike our current president, DJ Trump.
That’s an understatement. He shouldn’t have been rated at all.
@@Xpistos510 he was too good to be rated
