A really good presentation with a few minor errors and omissions.
    1) The 1d red shown at 2:14 is not an 1841 1d red - those had no perforations. That example has letters in all 4 corners was not issued until 1864.
    2) You can only match a 1d black from plates 1b, 2, 5, 8, 9, 10 or 11 with a 1d red from the same plate and letterings. I have many matched pairs. The matched pair of plate 11s at 2:49 is superb: I have two as good but there aren't many in existence of that quality.
    3) The value of mint 1d reds depends heavily on the plate. Any one from the "black" plates is rare. It also depends on the condition and the presence of gum on the back.
    4) Some of the rarest 1d reds are those used for trials of perforation by Henry Archer. He doesn't mention these important issues.
    5) Another rare 1d red is the misnamed "abnormal" issue on small crown watermarked paper with alphabet 3 letters. Very elusive.
    6) The Perkins Bacon records state that no 1d reds were ever printed from plate 77. There is a LOT of controversy as to whether they are all faked of whether someone sneaked in to print a sheet before the plate was destroyed. I wouldn't touch one with a bargepole, even with a certificate.

Penny reds have been my gig since 1975, when I went with my aunt to the Norbury Stamp Shop in Stockport, and she treated me to my first ever example, an 1841 imperf, for 50p.

Hi good day. He knows how to guide me through his videos and has classified most of the postage stamps. oldest. I bought them with a lady who sold old things, among them came a box of postage stamps like from England, Italy. Russia Germany Canada among others and very old and also from the 90s the box came from 1940 and I think it was keeping. Luckily I bought those stamps for 100 dollars a whole box and I began to review each one and separated very old stamps which I got into those videos where they auction stamps to see the images. and most that some go out there. I have several. I searched for some on the net and they don't have information about some pieces and I'm looking for a philist who can help me or give me information about them. I lived in Connecticut, USA, but I don't know of any site of such interest that I can visit to value these pieces.

Very poor video technique. O.Young needs lighting. Why do most shots of the stamps pan left>right and v.v. and are short. Close-ups would be useful. The bicycle is a nice touch. Light the stamps properly.

How can a professional from Stanley Gibbons stand up and say " ... the 1d black became the 1d red - and here is a mint example issued in 1841" and hold up a 1d red with letters in all 4 corners (2 minutes 9 seconds in), not issued until 1864! Lettered appropriately sweet FA!
