  • On this edition of “The Lucas Alexander Show” special series: "Remembering the Queen Of Rock - TINA TURNER - 1939 - 2023”, the Director of the Tina Turner Museum, at the West Delta Heritage Center in Brownsville, Tennessee, SONIA OUTLAW-CLARK, is joining Lucas Alexander. An in-depth conversation about the legacy of the late, great Tina Turner, her Queen of Rock `n´ Roll status, her enormous musical influence on generations of fans and other musicians and singers, and her fascinating and awe-inspiring, tragic life-story, that became a beautiful adventure and a very personal journey, giving strength and courage to millions of women, and men, on how to change their lives for the better.
Sonia Outlaw-Clark talks about her journey that lead to becoming the Director of the Tina Turner Museum, near Tina’s hometown Nutbush (Nutbush City Limits), and how Tina’s relentless and tireless assistant and former manager, Rhonda Graam, along with Tina Turner herself, helped to create and build the museum, which is now a great success. Sonia also explains what it meant to her, to meet Tina in person, the very last time she was in America, and the importance of keeping Tina Turner´s musical legacy alive for generations to come, and her story of being a poor, black girl, picking cotton in the hot Tennessee fields to becoming the greatest female Rock entertainer in music history. The extraordinary story of turning “poison into medicine” and tears into triumph, is one that we must never forget. It CAN be done, and noone did it more remarkably than Tina Turner.
The TINA TURNER HERITAGE DAYS celebration, is taking the place every year, the 4th weekend in September. This year it will be September 22 & 24, 2023.

I watched one of your prior Tina videos, and look forward to viewing this entire video over time.
We all thought she was the Energizer Bunny of Rock, and would keep on going forever!
As a Buddhist, she will, just in different forms, including in her music and videos. And in people like you, keeping her memory and spirit alive.
She created so many great songs, my favorite of hers changes month to month.
Best wishes from Pacific NW United States.

Eddy simply tells his truth. It's his point of view. I think his book and interviews humanize her. It shows her being a vulnerable human being who is gracious and good but like all humans she has her ways lol. His book ties everything to and connects a lot of dots. His book isn't malicious at all. It's an authentic memoir of his experience and relationship with Tina. They were true friends. He said nothing bad about her. It was true that she had mood swings, she was open about being materialistic and it explained her love life after Ike. She was a woman like every other woman. She has needs. And she was classy and sophisticated. She wasn't promiscuous. It's a shame he was never mentioned in her narrative. Only Rhonda and Roger. Hell even Robbie was mentioned.

@@true90skidit isn’t right when someone confided in a person and they air it all to the world. I saw an interview where he said he was sorry and was only looking to get her attention, he also said she read the book and never contacted him. What did he expect??? That’s not how you get someone’s attention and expect them to remain friends with you. As much as I am super interested in every ounce of her, I haven’t read the book and have no intentions of doing so, things said in the book was personal to her and should have stayed that way. Tina isn’t an ordinary person where things like that would die a natural death. That’s betrayal, and then it would make her now to not trust. He said Erwin was controlling but Erwin, as everyone else who’s close to T is just super protective of her and has every right to be, he I been in her life I would have been that way too.
