Hope you enjoy this new episode following the adventures of Steffan Hoffman as he explores and studies the monsters and creatures from the Old World. Let us know with a comment if you are enjoying the series and any feedback you my have is always more than welcome! 😃
I laughed when he said, "What a wonderful world!" even after almost getting torn to pieces by a Griffon. Either he's crazy or he has an unnaturally high amount of optimism I wish I have.
There have always been men like this, even in real life. Mother Nature calls to them and they can't help but marvel at it. It's why so many Victorian era scholars wished to brave such dangerous places like South America and Africa among others to see what they could find. We humans are communal creatures, and like our creature comforts and civilized living...but every once in a while we all feel that wish to see the wild world that once was. They just decided to go out and find it.
Fun fact on Hippogryphs: They started as a medivial meme. Bestiaries back then featured griffons as real animals in central asia who eat primarily horses. So portraying a griffon fused with a horse is akin to a mouse fused with a cat. A thing of impossibility. My most favorite portrayl of Hippogriffs comes from Ernest Drakes guide to fantastical beast. In this fun book Hippogriffs are portrayed as plant eaters to dinstinguish it from the griffon. In a Dimetrodon/Edaphosaurus setting. Two species sharing traits but are unrelated and eat different food. However the eggs look identical. So if you are unsure who you have, you should have horse meat and grain ready. But you should hide ths horse meat, for if its the first thing a hippogriffs sees, it may be traumatized 😅
I like these videos about the worlds fauna and flora. Tragic stories of heroic men fighting and dying against daemons are all well and good but I really enjoy thinking about what happens to everything else in the world, not just the people.
This is true for me too. I am a biologist and for me its always great to see unique lifeforms and ecosystems. Often they are among the most interesting aspect of a fantasy or scifi setting.
@@elperronimo Karl Franz got Deathclaw from the Wood Elves giving the egg to him as a gift after he of all people managed to negotiate with them successfully.
They are by far my favorite unit within the Empire Army, and while they are expensive and perhaps not as useful as they might be, they are a true symbol of the Empire Marshal Might.
Another great video documenting good Hoffman's adventures. I find it interesting how Hippogryffs are so savage in the Warhmer World. Griffins, Hippogryffs and other beasts have made appareances in all form of fantastic stories, from Harry Potter, D&D and Warcraft to name a few. With so many portrayals, even if it less than the iconic dragons, sometimes lore from one series could be mistakenly applied to another. For example, I don't remember which fantasy world it was stated that Hippogryffs, being part horse, are more dócil and thus easier to tame than normal griffins yet if one tried that I the Warhammer World, one would likely end with fewer extremities than when they started.
A man who doesn't know about Bugman's, is a man rarer than any unicorn or zoat- Hoffman is the real rarity of the old world; truly a fascinating creature the likes unseen by most mortal eyes!
I would love to see videos about different provinces of the Empire, Bretonia, Ulthuan, and so on :) Similar to different Dwarf hold you did some time ago, those were amazing :)
Never heard of no Bugmans! Beautiful work - can I jsut say the music choice is GORGEOUS. Its what separates it from other lore videos. It radiates the sense of adventure. Great work ^-^
I have fallen in love with Bretonnia recently and Hippogryphs are my favorite mounts. There is so much untapped potential in that faction, but GW just never fleshed it out fully. Hopefully Old World will give us plenty of interesting lore to sink our teeth into, or I'll just write it myself as fanfiction.
Excellent work on the video on the second creature lore of Warhammer Fantasy, my friend! Can you please do the on the video on other creatures in Warhammer Fantasy?
This one is the video I was waiting mostly because i am new to fantasy (not to 40k) so when I saw them i was curious about them and I only know about deathclaw the Karl Franz griffon
Ik its fictional and all but how much luck one must have that your guide is bugmen Edit: the one with the demigrif sound too kislev probley a murc feom kislev
when I die I want to be reincarnated to the warhammer fantasy world ( not 40k ones) and tamed a griffin. after that, well….maybe I’m going to joined the empire or going to torry yvres

@@TheBookofChoyer could we see some of the Beasts of The Wood elves and the beastmen? they fascinate me the most
Dragons next please. Thank you.
@@huxflux1513 I'd love to see a cover of the monsters of Sylvania like Terrogheists and Varghulfs

Deathclaw is best boi.
Who needs a dog when you can have your very own pet griffon?
You have to be rich af to afford a griffin bro. I'll stick with my dog
@@elperronimo Karl Franz got Deathclaw from the Wood Elves giving the egg to him as a gift after he of all people managed to negotiate with them successfully.
I love the enthusiasm of Hoffman in this episode.
To be chosen as a Demigryph Knight must be as great an honor as joining the Reiksguard.
Baby Griffons, Demigryphs and Hippogryphs must be adorable when they're small and young.
All the deadliest things are adorable when tiny… you know before they grow up and take your head off at the neck
They are by far my favorite unit within the Empire Army, and while they are expensive and perhaps not as useful as they might be, they are a true symbol of the Empire Marshal Might.
What do you mean they feel like regiments of renown and cause fear them and steam tanks if you can afford it is devastating

One of the more overlooked yet, none the less, another favorite in my personal roster of favorite mythical creatures.
I would LOVE to be a zoologist in the Warhammer World. Like, it's the coolest job ever! Great video, Book of Choyer!
Not that it really matters, but these are my favorite videos that get posted to the channel!
I would love to see videos about different provinces of the Empire, Bretonia, Ulthuan, and so on :) Similar to different Dwarf hold you did some time ago, those were amazing :)
Nice to see all of the Griffs in one video, great job on this
Fantastic beats and where to find them done right.
My good Sir this dialog is amasing! Congratulations!
Never heard of no Bugmans!

It radiates the sense of adventure. Great work ^-^
I love the light roleplay
Great video as always, would like to see a video about the beast of Chao's.

Hey babe wake up new Book of Choyer vid just dropped
very nice new format of the videos. Totally loved it. I think I missed the first one so I have to get to it now that I see how awesome these are
Awesome, thank you Adam! Here is the first part my friend! ruclips.net/video/E1Qy4bT-UD8/видео.html
Excellent work on the video on the second creature lore of Warhammer Fantasy, my friend! Can you please do the on the video on other creatures in Warhammer Fantasy?
The most unbelievable part of this video is that someone who completed their PhD does not drink alcohol
Hippogryphs are pretty amazing, but have you ridden a Dinosaur?
I recall that pegasus or pegasi will never get along with hippogryphs and fights always happen. Plus demigryphs vs high elf white lions.
This one is the video I was waiting mostly because i am new to fantasy (not to 40k) so when I saw them i was curious about them and I only know about deathclaw the Karl Franz griffon
If I had to choose one of these three as a mount I'd pick demigryph and I'd name mine , swiftblade.
This is a really cool video idea. I hope you do more videos exploring the lore of the various species of the Warhammer world.
Thank you! There are two more coming very soon my friend! Next friday is the next one!🙌
Since a pegasus can be coruptet by chaos what about these? Also, love the format!

👀⚡️
Was enjoying the video until I heard the voice acting of the demigryph knight. Killed the vibe immediately.
That Demigryph stable master has a *T H I C C* accent
A comment for the Comment God.
