    PANASONIC CR2016 works for me. I thought DURACELL CR2016 was a good brand, until I attempt to use it on my 2013 Toyota Rav4… it didn’t work. I read the comments, and found majority said their panasonic batteries worked. So I gave it a shot, $5 instead of buying a replacement key fob for over $100+. The patience and severance worked. My Panasonic came, and I pop the sucker out, and put in the new PANASONIC CR2016. I went to my car, and holy smokes, it worked!

    Excellent video. After changing the battery, and reassembling the key, it still would not work! I took it apart again, and discovered that I had not taken the tiny sticker (which warns that swallowing the battery can be dangerous for children) off the back of the new battery! I removed the sticker, reassembled the key, and it worked great! Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video!

    Thank you soooo much for this!! I was having a stressful week already and then I dropped my mom's Toyota key and thought I had broken it. I was frantically calling the Toyota Dealer and they said "Yeah probably you'll have to order a new key and it'll take a few days for it to come in". I did it!
    I called Autozone and they said they’d replace the battery for me. But they didn’t have Panasonic brand. It would cost me 10.99
    So I went to Walmart and bought the batteries 2/5.67, they just had energizer & Duracell. So I got the same battery as Autozone had, the energizer and watched your video.
    It worked! Cool. I saved some money still , but at least I learned how to do this myself!
    Thank you so much for the video!

    Your instructions are a good way to break the little plastic clips. The "use coin to open" sign is not telling you to use a coin to pry that interal piece out. Its telling you to use a coin to open up that piece to get to the battery. Using a screwdriver to pry the little clips up is incorrect and can result in broken clips. I would suggest using a penny instead of a butter knife as well since that slot is literally designed for a penny to open it. A butter knife is a little slimmer and gives you a lot of leverage to break things. Just trying to help.

    • @jimsomethingelse9493
      @jimsomethingelse9493 5 лет назад

      I'm not sure what "little plastic clips" you're referring to. Assuming you mean the outer case, mine requires a dime. A penny will not fit.
