    Thanks for the shout out! Ok I was 11-12 and my dad asked my advice on how he should draw the paperboy's bike. I specifically told him no mag wheels, spoked wheels were much cooler. I told him baskets were not cool and real paperboys used canvas bags. I also (a few times) told him how I thought the brace plate on the front triangle of the bike was also not very cool and finally that tassels were definitely NOT COOL. And what does he do?! The exact opposite of everything I said. He didn't do it on purpose, he was just a flakey dude xDD rip

    Wow, that is so exciting watching you play!
    This was the greatest game I played in the arcade in the 80's. Those handlebar controllers was just genius. It felt so good gripping them and playing a video game.
    Thanks so much for posting this video!

    Either this or Marble Madness was the beginning of the Atari Games Corp era! I LOVE the stripe pattern on the side of this and Marble Madness!!

      You can tell how similar they are. The really clean graphics, the little do-doodlee-do-do-do sound effects, the heavily reverberated level intro music.

    So cool to come across this game on your videos. I remember playing this game back in the day and I used to be pretty good at it. I remember back in the day when you're taking the training course when you go off the last jump your supposed to aim the bike into the grandstands towards the people a certain way and you could get like a million points. Every time you take the training course if you did that every single time you would get like a million points it was some kind of a glitch or a secret trick. if I could ever come across one of these one day I'm going to buy it most collectors have these nowadays you don't see to many of these games in arcades anymore.

    • @LyonsArcade
      @LyonsArcade  4 года назад +3

      Yeah this is a tough one to find.... they're pretty desirable because a lotta folks have a lot of good memories of it... and with the handlebars it was something you couldn't really play very well on the home systems.... Thanks for watching Ronnie, see you on the next video!

    You get points for stopping the robber, very hard shot. Hitting the kids on the big wheels, the break dancer, the fighters, the jackhammerer, the tombstones. During the bonus round, I just keeping firing papers to hit the targets and jumping to get more papers. Fun game. Looking forward to the restore videos.

    Good scores for not being an expert! I can remember getting to a point in the game where there were 3 men doing the 'line dance-fighting' routine towards the street as you would pass. Hysterically funny to me!

    Loved playing this game! Used to do a trick at the end of the Bonus course where you you go off to the right at the finish line where there is a break in the line and the dirt to fence.. when you took it very sharp to the right, you can keep going and be messed up and get a huge score...

    One game I would love to see that was one of my all time favorites is Peter Pack-Rat. The music in this game on these Atari games, such as Marble Madness were outstanding I felt.

    • @LyonsArcade
      @LyonsArcade  5 лет назад +1

      Yeah Atari really went all out with the music it's like they took more time to get it right, even the lesser games had good music.

      I try to get across to people that there’s something fun in all of these even if it’s just that they attempted to get people to play a game that wasn’t the best… I try to enjoy life and in general don’t really like reviews because it’s just people complaining and thinking up things not to like lol. Thanks for watching!!!
