I think windows are harder to break now. Windows in like the 80s were way thinner and maybe not tempered? I just know from experience they broke easier. Modern windows are definitely beefier.
Paperboy was the reason why, when I was an actual paperboy, I was disappointed that there was never an obstacle/training course at the end of my route!
There wasn't any sand pit or unoccupied field nearby where you could build jumps with soil and planks and all that?
I was a paperboy before,it was traumatic, dogs were biting my ass 24/7

My dad in the old days actually did launch newspapers into mailboxes/doir steps from his car. And he actually was a... well not a town hero but a mail hero. He went to some competition for it and won $500

As a former paperboy myself, I can attest that many times I had my female customers run out in their robe, curlers, and slippers to bitch me out about something. Like cutting through their yard or putting the paper in the wrong door or not getting a certain section of the paper and etc. Whoever designed this game was obviously a former paperboy himself.

O James tinha mudado um pouco a personalidade do AVGN. Parecia que ele estava querendo que o Nerd fosse como ele é pessoalmente. Tanto que ele ria das coisas, falava como se fosse um vlog, não tinha mais os "teatros" etc.. Mas devo dizer, ainda bem que ele voltou a esse estilo clássico. Não dá pra descrever mesmo, está muito bom! :D
Totally agree, it felt a lot better than most of the recent episodes. The nerd has been hit or miss for quite some time, unfortunately, but this one was seriously great. I think it has something to do with how relatively simple the jokes were, as well as how well timed it all was.

I loved this game as a kid and became a paperboy. I can confirm that by rolling your papers up a certain way resulted in a superior throwing weapon. It was more like throwing a hatchet. I prided myself on my ability to throw from the street or sidewalk accurately. I loved paper boxes because they were a challenge. My route was around 130 papers and I hated Sunday Papers...
Have you ever played the Game Boy version? All the houses have the same colour, but the manual still says I should look for the red blue and yellow houses.
Gb version is great

He was trying with a modern newspaper roll, which are very light. Back in the 1990's, newspapers were massive and they were rolled up tightly to reduce volume. A 1990's newspaper roll could smash through a window like it was made of sugar.

In retrospect, this was really a horror game. You've got a kid delivering newspapers in a neighborhood where there are graves in the front yard, lawn statues and tires move on their own as if animated by telepathy or demonic possession, mutants peek up out of the sewers, crazed people come running out of their houses, and the grim reaper is lurking around every corner.
The whole game was one sick twisted game of Saw. The people waving at the end were those saved because he passed the test

I was surprised he didn't like Paperboy. I loved this game. You gain new subscribers by completing a perfect route. Some of those converted red houses that convert are almost impossible to hit. The Tornado is a Swarm of bee's. The dog and bee's are the number one Killers. AVGN Fan right here. Thank you for the years of laughs.

The reason pausing the game is so difficult is due to a quirk in the game engine-the game cannot be paused while the digitized sound effects (dog barking, car horn, glass breaking, and crashing sound samples) are playing. It actually says so in the manual, surprisingly.

I'll never forget that one time when I was a kid and my mom called home to ask If I wanted her to rent me a game for the weekend. I said yes please please and she asked which game , I said without hesitation KIRBY and then she asked whats on the box ? I said a round pink character ( I did not say character but since where french its the closest that come to mind ) When she came home with paperboy I almost cried ! xD
