You know, with the whole covid crap and the closing of theme parks and all that; if they brought back these kinds of commercials, they would probably see a huge increase in park attendance for the foreseeable future.
I still to this very day wonder why they got rid of Mr. Six? He was very popular back in the day and they just retired him after one year of commercials. That was it. I had not seen the water park or the retirement one, but saw all the others back when they were broadcast. The original one is odd because it was based on the park in New Orleans, Louisiana - the Superdome is seen at 58 seconds. That park shut down within 5 years when a hurricane flooded it and Six Flags could not get the property reinsured so they never rebuilt it.
@ I read about that. Apparently he was eliminated by Dan Snyder when he bought Six Flags and ran it into the ground close to bankruptcy. Once bought from him, Mr. Six was brought back but market research showed while the majority liked him, a small minority hated him so of course the minority got their way and he was retired permanently (make sense, make the minority of customers happy). Probably why the chain is still not so well run.
I don't know why that's weird about the New Orleans park but ok. The reason why they retired Mr. Six originally was the park changed owners. The new one hated the character. No one liked the new owner so he was forced to resigned. The next one and I think current one agreed to bring him back but enough people hated the character so he we dropped for good. The amount of people to hate Mr. Six? 18%

Little red-haired girl = Lilliana Mumy, the daughter of Bill Mumy (Will Robinson from Lost In Space). At least, I think it's her. If you watch the "It's Still A Good Life" episode of a remake of The Twilight Zone, it's the same girl, I believe.
With the bald-head, I can almost envision casting Mr. Six as the next 'Agent-47' in a Hitman-3 movie, if such a thing were possible. I mean seriously...if you were to be his next 'mark'...WHAT on earth would possibly leave you with ANY impression whatsoever, that the very LAST thing you would be consciously-witnessing (in this life) would be THAT guy, stepping out of a 50's era tour-bus, dancing his a** off in front of you ? Honestly, I cannot think of a more 'effective' (or 'humane' ?) assassin than Mr. Six. What a way to 'go', huh ? One minute you're laughing & giggling you're butt off...and then 'BAM'....you're gone !
I doubt the first half of it will be with the masks and all those other precautions. But if they get more people vaccinated and cases decrease significantly, I could definitely see operations go back to normal and it will definitely be better by then.
@@mitchellries256 I personally don't think we will ever get back to "normal" ever again, because the pandemic lockdowns will change to the climate change lockdowns. If anyone wants to know how the world is going to end, it's not going to be climate change, it's not going to be an astroid, and it's not going to be the sun exploding; it's humans that are going to end the world. And they're going to end it by trying to save it. It slowly happens each and every day.
@@nascarfanatic2425 I disagree. Mankind has survived every pandemic that came before it and then things went back to normal immediately afterwards. We're certainlt capable of surviving this one and I have no doubt in my mind that masks will be a thing of the past within the next 2 to 3 months. Even Dr. Anthony Faucci himself expects a return to normalcy by early summer.
I'm close to two different Six Flags parks; one in Massachusetts and one in New Jersey. However, I cannot enjoy them both because I'm too tall and have a wide upper body, so I can't ride certain attractions.
