My mother was looking to replace her Mercedes C class and I told her to look into Audi among other brands so that if she bought the new MERC Cabriolet she had been eyeballing, at least she had kept her options open. She really just wanted something that gave her more of a thrill to drive as the 4-cyl in her C Class was under whelming. Her and I, drove the Audi A5, and S4. S4 was very powerful and has beautiful lines but inside it gave off this very masculine vibe. Loved the power but it wasn't making us jump for joy. Literal luck we drove past a Jaguar dealership and mom remembered she needed to drop off a key to one she had given them. She had owned a 2001 Jaguar S Type brand new and had recently let it go. I had asked her if she wanted to look into Jaguar for a new car and she said no and I didn't have any big reasons to persuade her otherwise. I shrugged it off. So while we are there I walk outside to look at the inventory as I am a personal fan of the Jaguar XJ. I'm 6'4 and prefer bigger sedans. This isn't quite what the older models look like." We looked through the window and saw everything was updated and gorgeous. The body lines of this car really have to be seen up close and personal to be appreciated. We test drove the car and she loved it, I loved it. The XF weighs hundreds of pounds less than the three row SUVs that have the same or less horsepower, but reviewers think it's enough for something that big? The XF is the best kept secret in the sedan market and I'll be sad to see it go in a year or two. It is truly gorgeous, especially in British Racing Green and really makes heads turn.
Jaguars have some beautiful styling. The interior is nice but I wouldn’t get white. No supercharger is definitely a zonk! Thanks for the awesome review Joe! Well done Lori! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Hey Joe, believe you got the stats wrong. The SE and S come with a 2L 248 HP engine with standard RWD. AWD comes as standard in the R Dynamic SE trim with the same 2L engine putting out 296 HP.
Most people that complain about jaguar reliability never own one. Not because they dont want to..but they cant afford. So they use the past to judge the future. Almost every car manufacturer in the past went tru their reliability phase due to rushing to more tech. Nowadays, almost every manufacturer is reliable just service them on time. And no issues.
I have no intention of purchasing a new vehicle in the next few years, but damn do I enjoy watching Joe's vehicle reviews. Especially the emergency Twinkie reserve LOL.
Jaguar is garbage ever since they started making them in China And they got bought by an Indian company Tata motors. I don’t think anyone’s going to be shopping for these at all. They even had a protest literally in Communist China in front of Jaguar headquarters because of how cheap the Jaguars were made and how much they were breaking... that right there speaks volumes..
If I were to go the Jag route,I'd have to get the XJ Supercharged or the XJR,because they're old-school sedan, just perfectly sized for my old-school family, but with just about enough muscle to satisfy me.
Man I wish they still offered a higher powered XF !!! It’s really REALLY NICE!! The price is also pretty awesome! I agree it should have a panoramic sunroof!! I have to disagree with you bout the seatbacks I like the plastic because I have kids that would end of tearing up the leather.
Very smart looking vehicle. Can’t wait until the new XJ is revealed. Jaguar quality and reliability is improving with each year so ownership should be a happy experience. Great review Joe.

I’m British and I love Jaguars (especially the exteriors). However, I drive a Mercedes as I am scared to own a Jaguar due to engine reliability issues. In the UK , Jaguar and Range Rovers ranked very low in reliability ratings. As such insurance costs are high and I am not willing to take the risk of owning one.

Hey Joe. Love the video and channel as always. But I had to point out a minor detail with the Jaguar Products, When optioned with the standard/panoramic roof, all Jaguar vehicles are given the option (that's also free) to black out the rear part of the roof. Just a little heads up.

Nice review, fantastic car. Just wish you would stop for a breath now and then. I think the 2L engine makes a lot of sense. It sounds great, plenty of power and you have the economy too. Fuel is getting more and more expensive, and in most countries, especially Europe, is far more expensive than in the US. Incidentally the XF has been around since 2008, not 2016. Amazed you didn't know that. It makes far more sense to use 12v car sockets rather than USB, and not many cars have three in the cabin. Most devices made for cars are 12v and use the 12v socket. You can get an adaptor for next to nothing. You can't get an adaptor that switches USB to a 12v socket.
They go economy, with stylish design, high tech, 4-cylinder engines, and affordable prices. Actually they focus more on SUVs now, and slowly move away from sedans ...

the pov for the rides is a must for every car
Jaguar designs beautiful cars but always seems to lack something to be just so-so Nice review, Joe
Yeah they dress up the new 2021 mazda 6 lol look at the jaguar f pace look like mazda cx9 lol
This car is BEAUTIFUL! I'm sold!
I own a 2023 XF P300 and I absolutely love it. Thanks to the mild hybrid, I'm getting 37 mpg highway! The car feels like more than 300 hp and is truly a GT car that's a little sporty.
It is a case Larry of what might have been.
The daytime running lights are more like 'L' shaped than a backwards 'J' shape.
That's a great price point for a luxury and performance vehicle looks better than Mercedes-Benz BMW Audi Cadillac or Lincoln.
No heads up display?? No controls in the rear. Wish the TFT had more animation in the gauge cluster.
Hey Joe, believe you got the stats wrong. The SE and S come with a 2L 248 HP engine with standard RWD. AWD comes as standard in the R Dynamic SE trim with the same 2L engine putting out 296 HP.
Europe gets some diesel XFs also.
The most efficient diesel does 48 miles to the gallon, which is 4.93l/100km.
I believe they used to make them there, but now they’re more common for Europe.
Bmw any day over Jag.
I have no intention of purchasing a new vehicle in the next few years, but damn do I enjoy watching Joe's vehicle reviews. Especially the emergency Twinkie reserve LOL.
A 18 plus cubic foot trunk is huge. That beats every sedan I know of.
Kinda doubt many people will cross-shop this with the G80. More likely a German competitor.
The interior simple but nice to me. Its not complicated and messed
If I were to go the Jag route,I'd have to get the XJ Supercharged or the XJR,because they're old-school sedan, just perfectly sized for my old-school family, but with just about enough muscle to satisfy me.
Rims look amazing 👏
The back looks like Audi A8 and that is the older 2014/15 facelift model
I like these Jaguars they’re really known of their excellent luxuriousness
Agree
Anybody else get the strategically placed ad right after he says “if you got 11” you better use it” 😂
I love this dandy of a Jag but, even if perfection does not exist but it's a cool car. What does recant mean?
he is taking back his zonk because he can pull out the cover vs just looking at the cupholders
What would we do without joe from Raitis rides???
That is really awesome of you to say my friend.
Man I wish they still offered a higher powered XF !!! It’s really REALLY NICE!! The price is also pretty awesome! I agree it should have a panoramic sunroof!! I have to disagree with you bout the seatbacks I like the plastic because I have kids that would end of tearing up the leather.
Otoh kids should be taught to behave and have respect.
10:54 classic! haha I had my eye on the same thing. Lori to the rescue
She is the best!
Lol!! 😁👍
This thing looks great but i wonder about the reliability. I’m looking for a car to replace my mother’s lexus nx300. This is definitely on the list
Can the sunroof cover be closed when the sunroof is open?
thats one item i liked about Audi
Portofino blue is the best color indeed for a Jag.
why didnt they add mood lights?
Very smart looking vehicle. Can’t wait until the new XJ is revealed. Jaguar quality and reliability is improving with each year so ownership should be a happy experience. Great review Joe.
There will be no new XJ. The project was cancelled by the new CEO, in favour of investing in a new range of EV’s.
Yes I just did a news search and you are right. I thought it was a done deal. I still remember my first ride in an XJ as a teenager; in my 60s now and have always loved Jags. Will miss this Jag.
@@mmccbb7mcb278 I’m looking to dump my Lexus for a Jag but I’m scared that build quality and reliability won’t be the same. They look great tho
@@EmperorWasHere The Jaguar XF is the top performing vehicle in quality audits from the JLR stable, which is due to the fact that it is a model that has been around for a while which has enabled Jaguar to iron out most of the minor quality issues it suffered from.
The XF over time has gone through various cosmetic updates and recently revised styling and lower prices to entice buyers, there has never been a better time to buy and the XF has never from a visual aspect looked better!
Your reviews are by far the best. So much in fact that I bought a 2021 RDX A-Spec last week after watching your review. Thank you sir!
Stay updated brother
Jaguar is Indian brand owned by tata motors. Tata motors buy Jaguar from Ford in 2008
Watching Joe do a review is my night time ritual
I’m trying to build the 2023 XF on the website but they do not seem to offer the two color steering wheel anymore. Do you know anything about this?
I’m British and I love Jaguars (especially the exteriors). However, I drive a Mercedes as I am scared to own a Jaguar due to engine reliability issues. In the UK , Jaguar and Range Rovers ranked very low in reliability ratings. As such insurance costs are high and I am not willing to take the risk of owning one.
Good looking Jag! Please include height and weight of the car nextime. 👌
16:05 Correction: XF has been around since 2007
My 2006 Jaguar S-Type has been lonely in the garage. I think one of these would be a nice addition. Hopefully they add the V6 option soon.
You have it backwards. The XF formerly DID have the supercharged V6 with 340 HP, but Jaguar has inexplicably gone backward, and reduced the size of the engine and its power capabilities. Terrible decision, IMO.
Nice Jag, Joe!
I am so glad that you are liking this one.
Hey Joe. Love the video and channel as always. But I had to point out a minor detail with the Jaguar Products,
When optioned with the standard/panoramic roof, all Jaguar vehicles are given the option (that's also free) to black out the rear part of the roof. Just a little heads up.
Thanks for that great intel about the roof. I really appreciate it,
Hey Joe can you review the Jaguar XJ
You should go more in depth with infotainment systems in the future & show us things like the safety & convenience settings
Hi Joe .... what a great detail review. I loved it .....and was looking for the same exterior .....but red/black interior 2021 XF-SE ... no luck yet
I’m soooo sadden! I own a 2017 R sport supercharged XF with red heated/cool seats and 19in rims. I’m so in love with this car and wanted to grab 21 but it not have my speed idk?! Which one do you think is better the Alfa Romeo Gulia or the newer XF? Please help me lol
In North America, Rover and Jaguar are always at the top of lemon car list for years. Would feel sorry after less than driving them for 3 years.
Short answer. No a Jaguar is not worth a purchase in 2021. Waaaay better options out there at that price
You got a sub sir. Excellent review!
Another beautiful Jag, really too bad they dropped that V-6. Pretty much everything else is a win. Lol, good thing they have that Meridian sound system, so you don't have to deal with fake, piped-in exhaust noise. Another stellar review, Joe! Thank you for all you do, Lori!
Great review! I have a 2018 XF Sportbrake S with the 3.0 supercharged engine. All the online reliability comments have me sweating, but so far I've had zero issues. Dealership (Lehi, Utah) is first class as well. Mine has a great warranty and free service.
People just stupidly repeat unreliabilty perceptions. I have a 2014 f type and have had no issues. Service it properly treat it well and youll have no issues. Applies to all cars rwally
How in the world did they not put exhausts in the back?
I was feeling this until you got to the rear, no exhaust on this car??? Are they going for sporty or economy friendly with this car?
They go economy, with stylish design, high tech, 4-cylinder engines, and affordable prices. Actually they focus more on SUVs now, and slowly move away from sedans ...
Remember when Jag made cool looking cars
