Is the 2024 Jaguar XF P300 the BETTER luxury sedan to BUY than a BMW 330i?

- The XF is Jaguar's smallest sedan. On the outside you will discover gloss black accents, 20in wheels, and red calipers. On the inside you will be greeted by a full leather interior. Under the hood is a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and featuring AWD. Is the 2024 Jaguar XF P300 the BETTER luxury sedan to BUY than a BMW 330i?

Going all electric by 2025 will be suicide for Jaguar.
Nah they prob more reliable minus the in car gremlins that’s bound to happen
Agreed
@@phillyspitta8147 that has nothing to do with why that will kill Jaguar. Business 101 my friend.
get with the times or be left behind
I think they are already clinicly dead
Why do testers keep putting the XF up against the likes of the BMW 3 series?
The XF is quite clearly a class above the 3 series and exists as competition for the 5 series.
The Jaguar XE is a competitor for the BMW 3 series.
tbh a pony and trap is superior to anything with a 'b' 'm' and 'w' slapped on its arse.
Definitely more luxurious and elegant than the Bimmer. I would lease it than buy it based on Jaguar's spotty reliability records.
Really love the interior and how tastefully it's styled. I like how the screen doesn't stick up so high, too.
I don't think a lot of people cross shop the XF with the 3 series, I see this more of a Lexus ES300, Genesis G80 competitor. It's a highly underrated car that I would choose over the competition if I was shopping for a car in this class.
Joe - I think the BMW 5-series is a closer comparison just based on the dimensions of the car. Haven't driven either one so it's hard to say which is better. But the interior of the Jaguar is much nicer.
I absolutely always love the red and black color combo.
Jaguar interior and exterior is really a classy Morden update to the jaguars that used to wow me 10-20 years back . No funky futuristic Design with huge TVs on the dash and monobrow LEDs. Just pure Classy styling carrying the legacy!
It's so great to see you doing another video on the XF P300.
thanks to your other video at Jaguar St Pete. We just bought one of these literally 2 weeks ago in white. We absolutely love this car I would highly recommend it.
Thank you again for helping us pull the trigger
That is so awesome Rocco! Congrats your new Jaguar!
How has it held up in the months you’ve had it??? 🤔
This car deserves a V6.
Turbo 4 IS the new V6.
@@MisterMikeTexasyou’re the new V6 ❤️
I6 not V6. Their partner Land Rover has a nice one but this car never got it. A shame.
XF used to have option of high power V6 and V8, but, that was many years ago..
Imagine a V8 tho
This is a sharp car thanks Joe and Steven for the review and camera work!
I would take this over the BMW, the interiors in new Jaguars are just so nice
Thanks for the review. Last year I built my 2023 XF P300 R Dynamic and simply love it! It is such a classy ride.
any reliability issues?
@@Lordgeorge17 so far, so good. 👍
Viva Jaguar! I love the Jaguar XF and I love the fake fender vents I think without them, the fenders would look rather be bland.
It's gone in my country, it stopped selling last year . It was last sedan on sale by Jaguar after the loss of XJ L and XE but now this is gone too in my country.
Great review man! Don’t see many Jaguar reviews out there. Best content right here!
I do not see too many Jaguars on the road.
Jaguar makes the most stylish and elegant cars!
Not any more.
I just build one online. You can add the black roof option for $550 😊 And a thin body colored rear deck spoiler can be optioned also.
Has been Following since only 17 k subscribers , good luck ❤
I think overall a good looking car and nice interior. However 60k for a 4cyl with Jags reliability and depreciation I would admire it from afar. Thanks for bringing that review.
Pricing is kind of nuts for sure!
I'm seriously considering this since it's available in British Racing Green over this interior which the competition doesn't offer. So sick of black, white, silver and gray....and yes, wish there was a V6 option.
Noooo 60K is ridiculous for this 4cylinder . The value drops crazy far on these Jags .
@@mvp1116 As long as it’s a great lease deal I don’t care. I don’t keep cars long term, new one every 3 years.
Great colour combo
BRG with Tan interior
Fantastic vehicle
👍
I love this car a lot😍 Especially that interior. So elegant & classy💯
Definitely more unique than a 330i
Yes of course Joe & this will be my daily car.
Didn't know this was still in production. This would be a great pick up certified in a couple years. 2.0T that over the years has had no Mercedes piston-cracking, no BMW coolant leaks, no Audi valve buildiup nightmares. A bulletproof ZF trans. Butter soft leather and real wood; things you can't even get in most rivals at this price or in ANY EV. Should give you 6 - 8 years of service easily and you won't see ten other ones every day.
Love the Red. Nice review Joe.
I think it really pops!
Didn’t know they still made the XF! I would definitely take this over the BMW, Audi or MB. Good looking vehicle just need a duel exhaust with better sound
Class competitor of the XF should be the 5 Series instead of the 3 Series.
I was set on getting a new C class. Then I test drove a Genesis G70 and was like oh maybe this. Then Cadillac refreshed the CT5 and that looks appealing. Then I saw a XF on the road and checked out this video hoping for a complete zonk of a vehicle. But I like it. Point is I'm not prepared to make a decision. But I know it won't be a BMW
Hey Joe! Can't wait for the 2025 Mazda CX70 debut tomorrow morning, brother 👌
You better believe it!
@@RaitisRidesCan you give us CX-90 owners a little taste? A spoiler appetizer?
What a beauty. I'd get this than anything else in the segment at any day
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video real true 👍
Good news is if you have a 2014 you could tell ppl it’s a 2024 and no one would really notice, bad news if you have a 2024… well you get it lol
The vent in the bumper on the passenger side is functional (intercooler).
This car doesn't compete with BMW 3 series or Audi A3 or A4. It competes with BMW 5 series and Audi A6 and even a Mercedes E class or Lexis GS
Exactly… they have (had?) Jaguar XE for competition against 3series…
I would go for the jaguar. I believe that the entire body and chassis is made from aluminium and this I really like so it's the Jag for me.
It’s such a good looking car. I wish they had a hot version.
JOE RAITI ladies and gentlemen! 💪🏻
I love mine. This is a great daily driver if you want a GT car that's a little sporty. Driving it, it feels like more than 300 hp and I'm often getting 30mpg city and 36 hwy, thanks partly to the 48volt mild hybrid. Firmer and very comfortable seats with two types of lumbar support. I'll be sad when the XF is permanently sent to the vehicle nursing home, and looks like there will be no new Mazda 6. 😢
Amazing review Joe.
Thanks for taking the time to say that!
Worth every penny of the 60k. Wow! Gorgeous interior
Interior very beautiful & neat
I love that interior! All those interesting lines, in the door cards, the two tone effect, the contrasts between that awesome leather colour and the aluminium and that classy dark satin wood makes for a stunning interior.
P.S. What's with the Twinkies? 😅
I don’t understand why you comparing XF with B category cars instead of C category.. XF should be compared to Benz E class, BMW 5 series, Genesis G80 etc instead of 3 series. It’s a 5 mtr car and in China one gets XFL Leries with length of 5102 mm! In last comparison too u compared it to Genesis G70 instead G80.
One word... Reliability.
I'd be so worried about repair costs too... I'd go with the Integra Type S at this price point.
Which this is not.
Good call for sure!
Since Jag stopped the Project 8 I really only pay attention to their v8 performance, Jag makes beautiful sounding v8's
So true. The last good XE was the XE SV project 8. Great looking car with a phenomenal V8 supercharged engine that made 600HP. Shame. It was only limited to 300 units. Now, their new engines for jaguars are weak 😢
@RelentlesslV that's my favorite Jag, at least they still have the suv with the 5.0 supercharger but I'm tired of performance suvs, I want classic Jag sedans and coupes OR a great idea a high performance wagon to compete with Benz and Audi
XF would compare to the E-Class or 5 series. The XE would compare to the A/C-Class and 3 series.
Wrong comparison 😅
Exactly right.
This seems to happen a lot and it must drive the suits at Jaguar crazy.
I myself have an XF and it is quite clearly a size and class above the BMW3 series.
Just park the two of them next to each other and it's obvious to see, so why do so many reviewers make this mistake?
@@wainerollins2587Not many make this mistake ... Guys in the know just don't make such a mistake. The right comparison is:
XF vs E Class vs 5 Series vs A6
XE vs C Class vs 3 Series vs A4
Maybe their electric motors will run better than the gas powered engines. But for leasing, I would have Zero problem leasing one. It really is a lovely design.
Lease is the way to go for sure!
Gorgeous center shifter layer out!
nice vid my guy
Thanks for taking the time to say that
Appreciate the reply 🤌🏽
My 2024 Lottery Win Rides are Land Rover Defender 110, Ford Mustang GT & This. I Can Dream, Can't I? (smile)
I think going all EV next year is a big mistake! I wish Ford still owned Jaguar. This car does seem to be a good alternative to a BMW. I think I like it best in black though like the one Ben Hardy reviewed.
Excellent points for sure
This will sell. I sat it one today - it was just beautiful.
No 360 camera?! For 60K?! Cmon Jaguar. Major Zonks
Still don't understand the size XF is similar to BMW 5 no 3
Love the review and the Jaguar XF P300 R-Dynamic, except for the engine sound coming from the speakers. Hopefully there's an option to turn it off.
I'm also looking at the Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce. Do you like that car too and possibly going to make a video about it, or even maybe another video comparing the Jaguar XF P300 and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce?
Great video though and thank you for your opinion on it's positives and negatives.
I will get that together for you!
That would be a cool comparison, at least for me.
I haven’t seen a comparison of both beautiful cars as of yet.
Thank you !
There is something that surprises me and I like about Jaguar, Porche and Merces Benzs, which is that they almost do not change the design, and the change is little, it means that I can have a previous year model and they are still attractive and the same as the new ones . , different from the Chevrolets that change every year and then your car is left behind in design!!!! and you already feel like you have an old car. you understand me? gracias Raitis
😃
That really makes sense
I can understand how you could feel that way
@@DarkJediChrisG-1425so true
The Value drops so much on those Jags. When Jag goes fulll Electric , the value will drop even faster..60K now and will be 30K by 2025
2025? No, it drops by half as soon as it leaves the showroom.
Already looking at a 2021 for less than 35k with less then 20k miles just scared of reliability
My first car was an XK120. No EV Jaguars in my future.
Joe, the rear styling appears "naked."
Based on power this should be compared to the Hyundai Sonata N Line 😭
Ain’t NO WAY all these 🤡s going full all electric. They’ll go bankrupt within a year…
They actually are.
Not sold on the engine . prefer V6. I’ve had 2 Jaguar xf’s. I just hope the electrical system has improved overall.
This will more likely be parked up front by the valet and probably easier to get approved. And that’s enough reasoning to sell a few hundred a year.
That is one extra bonus.
Please review the Maserati Grecale Folgore EV. Thank you Joe.
With a wheelbase of 116.5" the XF is more comparable to the 5 series. The old XE was the 330 competition. Frankly, I think it's a better car than either of the BMWs.
Where's 2023 gti 380 edition video raiti? Been waiting for a while now
Is this the same size as a 330i? And how fast and fun does it drive.
I was all about this car until finding out this won’t work for my backseat passengers doing drive by throwing star attacks. Maybe the SUV version will better suit my needs
Wait question, wouldn't this be considered a Land Rover sedan?
Absolutely not
LR do SUV
This is a Jaguar
You know already Joe what I'm going with haha. BMW of course but this XF P300 shouldn't be looked passed also, this one is awesome looking with the red color, black rims, blacked out grill.
I will have a look at this one sometime soon. My only concern is reliability because it is really hard to find any information at all about this model.
Take my S5 all day long. 360 camera. 4.2 0-60. 350 hp.
Sounds good to me!

You don’t need a 2024 Jaguar XF P300 Luxury Sedan for that. 👍
Jaguar makes some of the best looking and best driving cars on the road. It’s too bad they basically gave up on their entire lineup years ago.
I would go with the Jaguar over the BMW because it has a gauge cluster in a binacle instead of just a screen. The infotainment system looks like it was stuck on as an afterthought, but at least it doesn't project above the dashboard. Worst of all, BMW puts their B pillars too far forward, so you always have to lean forward to look around them.
That front end is giving Genesis vibes, but overall I like the design. Interior is definitely nicer than any BMW 3 series. This is the same color palette as my M340 with black wheels and shadowline package. But let's be for real, nobody buys a BMW 330 that can afford a 340 with the B58.
Yeah I am not seeing the Genesis at all in this.
I gotta ask since it's a British car -- the lights on the steering wheel weren't flashing the whole ride right? That's one of those "we captured this with a camera and it introduced issues" things, right?
I wish lease prices were like 600-700. This car has crazy high lease prices
I forgot this car was still on sale. Really compete with the 530i, well it’s supposed to. This car and departed XE were just total fails for Jaguar. The XF never had a chance after the facelift without the I6.
If you consider an integra type S starting from 52k , with a similar engine. While the Jag is more premium and has AWD . Looks awosome, great interior, good confort. It is not sporty, but dynamic , perfect for business style. So 60K are justified. Doesnt look dated at all, but clasic like a vip car and not boring like a Merc, in my opinion. The desigm will keep the charm in time, so dont need to change the car for a new modern model in 5 years Iike an Audi and lose a lot of money becouse of the heavy depreciation. The 4 cilinder engine gives a cheap vibe, even if it is smooth and decently powerfull. But will save money with gas and taxes, and will keep a beeter price on resale.
I just wish was more reliable to realy consider one.
It doesn't look awesome and it's definitely not premium.
Jaguar was the man/lady😂back in 2003 honestly, people are not checking for them anymore like that.🤷♂️Life been pass them bye ✌️
If I see this car coming from behind at night I would think it’s a bmw 5 series with those headlight designs
Nice Car 👍
The XF is comparable to a BMW Series 5, not series 3, series 3 is the Jaguar XE, that's the huge mistake in that video!
Looks like a previous gen G70 exterior wise
To me, this is stunning. I would look for a different color & interior color combo with a rear spoiler! Only because I have a similar color car combo now. I have read the Jag has finally been upgraded in reliability. As far as electrification goes they won’t have a problem since that’s no longer necessary to those vehicles. All manufacturers across the board have stopped producing them. People aren’t buying them & they’re catching fire. Not to mention they’re expensive to replace. $60K to much. New Yorker’s won’t buy them. Don’t say why. Hydrogen cars are exploding when fueling. If I could afford the Jaguar I would buy one.
I work at Land Rover/Jaguar… this car makes me sad. We have a “chase” car which is used for errands everyone gets to use, its a 2012 Jaguar XF with a 385hp V8 lol.
Now the XF is ONLY a dinky 4cyl… at the price of a 5 series competing with a 3 series
The XF is an 5 series comparison. The XE is the three series. The XJ is the seven series. Each outclassed by the Jag.
Color clash. This is where black interior is the way to go for a red exterior.
Why did they get rid of those nice V8 engine options?
The Jag is really great. For that price, though, it would have been really nice to have a heated steering wheel and ventilated seats.
where is the XE model? I thought that is the smallest Jaguar sedan
Beautiful looking car. I wish they still made the XF Sportbrake - as a wagon enthusiast, this is one of my dream cars. I'm surprised they didn't make the rear diffuser black and instead color-matched to the exterior.
Anyone who wants a new Jag, then, may want to buy before 2025.
Very good point!
Great review Joe. Thank you for making it. As for the Jag, well it's sad to see that the company lost its mojo. Jaguars used to be distinctive and beautiful cars to look at. Unfortunately, today they are bland cost cutting exercises. 4:25 > nothing about that profile screams "Jaguar". The rear door window looks awful with those two dopey plastic pieces of trim. Jaguar couldn't take the time to design the rear door properly so they just threw plastic at it to fill in the gaps (go look at an Audi A7 to see how it should be done). No rear exhaust tips is very disappointing (to save money), the oversized engine cover looks goofy, the infotainment system looks like a $99 tablet held on by Velcro (they couldn't even make the effort to integrate it into the dash), no dead foot cover, rear drive shaft tunnel is too high (more lazy designing), 12:57 unfinished trunk in the back (more cost cutting), even the growler badge 2:43 on the front grill looks like it was drawn by a kid in 3rd grade. The four cylinder engine is an insult at that price point. For the above reasons, I will not be buying one.
Jaguar is just exceptional the quality of the materials is unparalleled compared to anything else especially BMW the leather is thicker last longer smells beautiful and nothing breaks in these jaguars in the materials on the inside they're just very well made and crafted and it's just a more beautiful vehicle. I like the way people still think these cars are unreliable they obviously never owned one but if you own a BMW on a Mercedes you will know they're always in the shop the materials always break the leather gets gooey and sticky after a couple years and starts to peel off o
The old Jaguars yes, not the new ones.
"You can rub your wood after a long day at work..." 👀
Is it reliable?
it totally does look better than the BMW!
